My instincts demand you (But you're out of my reach)

Summary:

This was not in Dazai’s plans for his evening, or now should he say his year. His stupid Dog went chasing after a Rabbit, then he got caught, and so did Chuuya. Now somehow, they were going to school, for heroes.

And out of all the idiotic things Mori had done? having Chuuya mark him might have been the worst. Dazai would rather live forever than give into his instincts that demanded that idiotic alpha.

But here he was, having to face his instincts in all their disgusting, omega glory. He missed his pups, and he wanted his mate to acknowledge he marked him, even if he hadn't marked Chuuya in return

or…

Soukoku gets placed into UA all while Dazai deals with his instincts as an omega.

Notes:

This is like my first fic fic, I do have a beta reader and I adore her. Most chapters are currently planned out but I do adore theories..

there is also a playlist for this, it's mostly in chapter order of the song for that chapter. for how long? that's for me to know 😋🩵 but for the most part it will have the chapter name in order. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7aMMnErluzrttQS8Sh2veB?si=1QkaFXHdRUGic9KnK5p3bg&pi=elhbRmQlSTSvW

Chapter 1: No wait, I lied, I think your dumb

Notes:

Chapter title is from MSI stupid MF

Fun fact: I wrote this chapter twice! which will probably be a common occurrence since my beta readers are just that sigma. They made sure this chapter wasn't complete ass, because if I'm being honest, I didn't want to write it! but I had to to get this story started. how exhausting am I right? I genuinely didn't think this chapter would last past 2k, let alone 3k and certainly not over 4.5k! anyway, I don't have an update schedule but I'm thinking maybe every Friday? (with the exception of the first two which I'm going to post chapter two as soon as I can!)

Also! quick disclaimer I'm not kidding on the dead dove do not eat. this story will get dark at times, but also I have super fluffy stuff planned (at like c20 but shhhh… no one needs to know that) Also, I took a page outa windy’s book and moved Class 1-A into the dorms early. (I love wwt(inafmtI) I would totally recommend it!) I've got a basic outline, and I mean basic, like one bullet point each chapter, for up go the 29th (planned) chapter of this fic. However I need to rewatch mha from the hero killer arc probably up to the last season and choose where to cut from there. Also I'm probably not doing the entire anime/manga, I don't see a point nor do I think It would be smart, and I also don't think I'd have the motion. anyway, I don't plan on orphaning this fic. Though, unfortunately for all of us, I have cheer and school I've gotta keep up with 😞 I'll do my best to update at reasonable times and not take a really long hiatus promise! Rexy out!

Big thanks to my beta readers for helping me make this a fantastic fic! I love you all so much /p ^^ 🩵

anyway.. onto the story! I do hope you enjoy! :D

Chapter Text

The artificial lights lit the room, their static buzzing being one of the only things breaking the silence blanketed over the cell block. Dazai's groan broke the silence again, causing the alpha in the cell over too shoot him a look. The officers who had thrown them into this dump weren't around anymore, off to deal with a large-scale villain attack in Hosu.

Dazai would never understand why the world outside of Yokohama was so black and white. Within Yokohama, gang activity and the port mafia were common. No one questioned if someone was good or bad based on where they worked or who they worked for because in reality, that did not matter. What mattered was  that the people were safe (for the most part), that evil did not run as rampant across Yokohama as the heroes outside the city thought.

Yokohama, the protected city. They say the dome protecting Yokohama had been there since the dawn of quirks. Dazai never doubted that. It made sense–no quirks were found in Yokohama anymore, only abilities. Quirks had drawbacks. They caused the user when you over used them, pushed them past their limit. Abilities had no such drawbacks, they were naturally stronger. Though they did have limits, those limits were within reason and even the weakest abilities were stronger than most quirks.

Now both Chuuya and Dazai were in Musutafu. Dazai did not tell the ginger this, but for the entire hour they had both been in here, Dazai had been tapping on the floor in Morse code. It wasn't anything informal, just random insults, and whining–which shouldn't have been possible while using Morse code–which the alpha ignored. Most of the things he ‘said’ were Chibi, slug, shortie, omega, pay attention to me, and other things intended to make Chuuya mad or irritated.

Which Dazai didn't care if it did make the short alpha mad. He hadn't stopped tapping on the ground. It was Chuuya's fault they were both in this mess. It was Chuuya who had gone senselessly chasing after a rabbit hero, Miriko. Miriko had been on the edge of the Port’s territory,  targeting a subordinate of Chuuya's, before Chuuya stepped in and began fighting the hero. Dazai had arrived too late to tell him who it was and to back down. The rabbit hero had somehow taken his hat, the one he always kept on, and ran into the tunnel systems–One of the only ways in or out of Yokohama. Dazai was forced to go after his partner. He would never admit his instincts drove him to do it and he did not think it through until he was on the other side with chloroform pressed to his mouth and nose. He passed out not long after. It didn't take a genius to realize it threw off Chuuya, or else they wouldn't be here.

He didn't know why the heroes lured him and Chuuya out of Yokohama, but he assumed it was because they jumped into the fighting. Dazai had a theory, but with nothing backing it, he couldn't be sure it was true. It would not be unlikely for the heroes to try and open up Yokohama to the outside world, and seeing that the only way in and out of Yokohama was the tunnel the Port Mafia had been entrusted with guarding. The rabbit hero had successfully taken out all the guards but they had called for backup, and both Dazai and Chuuya had been close by. Chuuya had not waited for further instructions, or bothered to listen to Dazai’s plan. The alpha just went off saying that his subordinates needed him.

Eventually, after another ten minutes, the door to the small cell block opened. A man with sweats, a large scarf, messy long black hair, and eyebags walked in. If someone told Dazai he was homeless, Dazai would believe them if he didn't know the man who just walked in was Shota Aizawa– or better known as Eraserhead the prohero.

Aizawa took one glance at Chuuya and turned to Dazai's cell. Currently, out of the two, Dazai was the less threatening option. Chuuya’s scent filled half the room, the alpha’s scent–the smell of gunpowder and ginger, with a subtle undertone of smoke–was bitter and angry. No self respecting person would voluntarily choose to deal with that, especially when a scentless beta sat in the cell next to him. Both teens needed to be interrogated, and Aizawa would not be dealing with an angry teenage alpha.

The cell door to Dazai’s cell clicked open. Chuuya straightened a bit, eyeing Aizawa. The omega stuck his tongue out at the slug, a blatant taunt. Aizawa glanced between the two before motioning for the brunette to follow him. The teen did, his cuffs rubbing uncomfortably against the bandages and scent patches on his wrists. As they walked, Dazai couldn't help noticing certain things. Like the fact that there were no other rooms built for holding prisoners, offices, and the large steel door that Aizawa had stopped in front of.

The man opened the door, holding it for Dazai. He took a step into the room. It was plain, just a single table and 3 chairs, as well as a mirror on the wall. Dazai could guess that it wasn't a mirror, but a one way window. Of the three chairs, one chair was close to him, and the other two were on the opposite side of the table. He was led to the singular chair, and when he sat down, his cuffs were clicked to a bar on the table to prevent his escape. If Dazai really wanted to, he could get out of this predicament, leave, and break both Chuuya and him out.

But Dazai didn't, the man sat across from him hands on the table as he looked at the bandaged teen. Dazai didn't speak, and nor did the hero across from him. It was testing how long the homeless looking man could go without speaking. Dazai could go for a while, so he waited patiently. Eventually Aizawa broke the silence, likely too tired to deal with Dazai’s stalling.

“What's your name?” Aizawa asked. His eyes had not left Dazai, likely assuming the worst. Which wasn't far from the truth.

“Osamu Dazai.” He hummed. He did not plan to stall like he normally did, and before he knew it, Aizawa was firing off question after question.

“How old are you?” Dazai thought of lying about his age, but quickly decided it was pointless and replied with his actual age.

“16” Aizawa sent him a look before writing that down, pen against paper for a few agonizing seconds before the questions continued.

“Are you in any gang or mafia activity?” Dazai could lie, but that would be no fun for the suicidal teen, so the omega told half the truth

“Yeah, only gang activity really, the occasional Mafia work if the pay is enough. Hired gun ya know?” Dazai was in fact , not a hired gun, but it would explain his clothing and him stepping into the fight. Easy to assume the Mafia paid them to stop heroes from entering Yokohama. Aizawa wasn't very pleased by this answer if the scowl and more scribbling was anything to go by.

“What is your quirk?” The question caught the brunette off guard a bit, not expecting to be asked about a quirk he did not have.

“Nullification.” Dazai was out of his depth. This was a Quirk name, if Dazai’s information was correct. At least he hoped it was. Aizawa wrote that down, surprisingly not asking for more information on his ability, much to the omega's surprise.

“Do you know the alpha you were captured with?” Aizawa asked, glancing up from his paper

“Yes, His name's Chuuya Nakahara.” The brunette offered unprompted information, which would paint him as more naive than anything else.

“How do you know him?” The dark haired man asked

Dazai smirked,”he helps me with my work. So I guess he'd be my partner." His reply was met with silence for a minute or two before they continued.

“Finally, why aren't you at school?” Dazai almost forgot that teens go to school to learn. It really wasn't somewhere he wished to ever go. Dazai was smart, a genius actually. School would not make him think. Instead it would make him shape himself around the ideals for the world. Trying to teach him things he had already learned.

“I'm not in school.” The pause was loud and Aizawa just nodded and stood up.

The cuffs connecting to the metal rod were unclipped. Dazai was let back through the hallways to the same room he came from. It hadn't changed, apart from the alpha sprawled across the floor, the omega briefly wondered when and how Chuuya ended up there. The slug didn't really like his dirty clothes, so it was a curiosity to see him laying on the floor, his ginger hair spread out almost like a halo.

Dazai was shoved back into his cell, and his door was locked. Dazai doubted Aizawa did it on purpose but it didn't matter. He had been in worse jailing situations. He turned to the alpha in the other cell. The door opened and Chuuya almost lunged, if not for the small tingle that told Chuuya to stop, so he did. He followed the same path Dazai did. Though unlike Dazai’s silent leave, there was an insult yelled from the omega. “Awe my dog’s next! Good luck Chibi!” The words were laced with a teasing tone, and he ended up getting flipped off, which was entertaining for the brunette.

Dazai was then left in the cell for 24 hours. Not really but it felt like it, especially with no one to annoy while he sat in the cell. It was probably only 30 minutes later when Chuuya and Aizawa reentered the cell block. The homeless man sighed as he opened Dazai’s cell, his lips pursed into a frown. Dazai exited his cell, and the ginger who had followed Aizawa into the room fell into standing just a step behind him in his blind spot like the slug always did. Such a loyal dog if you asked the omega.

Aizawa led them out of the cell block. Dazai did not bother looking at the scenery. The omega had a suspicion that they would not be going to prison today, not with how Aizawa was acting and how he acted. Chuuya also wasn't as stupid as Dazai said he was–the alpha wouldn't label them as mafiosos. So it's unlikely that Aizawa knew that. What the ginger said might be different than his own words, but that could easily be covered up without much effort.

They entered another, similar interrogation room.. A police officer, specifically an alpha, took off his cuffs and Chuuya's. He was surprised Chibi let his cuffs come off that easily, but he realized he was staring at the mouse–or was it a bear–sitting in a chair on the opposite side of the interrogation table.

Dazai hadn't been as shocked, primarily because Dazai paid a little more attention than most Yokohama citizens to the outside world. So he knew mutants were common, however he had not been expecting to see this certain mutant. Nezu, the secondary genderless principle of UA high, the most prestigious hero school in Japan.

“Hello Nakahara and Dazai! It's nice to meet you two.” Nezu started. When neither teen responded–one because he was still processing what was happening, which his face gave that away along with his confused scent, and the other because it was well, Dazai–he continued “You both have a very interesting past. With a lack of schooling and involvement in gang activity, we have an offer for you two!” The brunette looked at the mouse-bear, looking for any signs of more behind what he was saying. “You both will join UA’s class 1-A in rehabilitation to get you the schooling you need and to set you on the right path!” Dazai knew there was more behind this offer, a reason that wasn't clearly stated, he just didn't know what.

Chuuya spoke up first, “What's the catch?” Even though he was out of dazai’s line of sight, Dazai could imagine the scowl on his face. Chibi had always been the more offensive of the two, at least outwardly. Maybe it was the fact he was a dominant alpha, or maybe it was Arahabaki. Dazai wasn't sure, but it was how their dynamic worked.

“Catch? Oh well, I guess you two would think that.. Well, the catch would be you giving our students real world experience!” The mouse bear clapped his hands –paws?–together. Well Dazai guessed that made sense. Heroes needed to be trained, and getting them real world experience in a controlled and safe environment would make sense, and seeing Chuuya and Dazai's only crime –that the heroes knew of– was gang and mafia affiliation, it wasn't a bad choice.

Dazai spoke before the ginger haired alpha could. “And where will we be staying?” The omega knew that the slug would refuse, but Dazai doubted they would just let them go back to Yokohama on parole. Plus, maybe he could get some information for Mori, the omega was always eager to find out what was happening outside of Yokohama. Though he wouldn't be thrilled on this leave for sure.

“You'll be staying with me for the first few nights, then you'll be staying in the UA Dorms.” Aizawa spoke up for the first time in this conversation.

Nezu nodded and added onto that statement. “Yes, that is the plan. Yamada has already agreed to let you two stay with them. The only reason we can't immediately move you into UA’s dorms is due to the only free room being used as a storage unit currently.” That made sense, UA hadn't been expecting any more students.

“Wait, room? as in only 1 room?” Chuuya seemed startled by that, even if it made sense. UA didn't take transfer students, but Chibi and his small little brain didn't know that!

“Yes, unfortunately we don't usually take transfers, especially not this late into the year. So you two will have to share a dorm. Usually if this happens then we would be a little more cautious about secondary genders. However, given your specific circumstances and relationship, we have decided it should be fine.” Dazai and Chuuya being omega and alpha would have changed their minds, luckily for both of them, they were not aware of that. Dazai would rather Chibi be close anyways. To the heroes, the pair was just a beta and an alpha, which was not a common mated duo.

Dazai smiled, he'd gotten the information he had needed, now he wanted to rest, he didn't think he would get anything more useful out of this conversation anyway. “So, are we going to go to Mr. Homeless man’s house now?” Aizawa sent him a glare but he shrugged. If not for the omega being smart, Dazai would not have a clue of his name.

“My name is Shota Aizawa, and yes, we will be” The black haired man motioned for them to follow, and they began walking through the police station. Dazai only really paid attention to some rooms with police in them and the main area with police all on phones. One flashed Aizawa a thumbs up before he went back to work. Seems like something big was happening. Well whatever it was, it was in Hosu, not Musutafu.

They arrived at the man's car, it was simpler than Dazai expected, but Chuuya went and sat in the back, the brunette following not far behind. The drive wasn't long, but it was not entertaining. Buildings pasted, along with people. The omega couldn't help looking at the ginger’s confused face. The alpha looking at any mutant with the exact same face. Dazai draped himself halfway onto Chuuya's shoulder. placing his head on the other teen’s shoulder and peering out.

It took Chuuya a second to realize what had just happened, looking at Dazai with a ‘did you really just do that?’ look. Then the alpha actually realized the important part. “Oi, mackerel, put on your seat belt.” The slug’s brow furrowed slightly, and Dazai couldn't help smirking at him.

He would have kept the seat belt off, but Aizawa spoke up about it, “Problem child, put on your seat belt.” The omega reluctantly did it, grumbling the entire time. What a bore. Though, knowing the brunette, he would have kept it off just to annoy his overprotective dog.

It wasn't long before the car was parked in a driveway, and they all got out. The house was nice, painted in a soft baby blue that blended into the other houses' browns and tans. Cat decorations littered the lawn, a tree sat in the middle of the lawn, its roots uprooting part of the concrete, but the tree was beautiful, and Dazai understood why it hadn't been cut down.

“Both of you are ok with cats, right?” Aizawa asked, opening the white door of the house. When they walked in, Dazai was absolutely thrilled to see a black cat.

“More of a dog person but yeah.” The alpha behind him hummed as he walked in behind Dazai. The omega hated dogs, though only Mori really knew why. So he was happy that Aizawa did not have dogs, only cats. Dazai had already started petting one who had rubbed against his legs.

“Well you are a dog yourself chibi, I think you could be categorized as a chihuahua! short, angry, and aggressive!” Dazai ducked before Chuuya's hand could make contact with the back of his head. He had already slipped off his shoes, so he scooped up the cat and darted off to the doorway some distance from the now irritated alpha, giggling at his scent.

“Lay off about my hight jackass! I'm still growing and those dog jokes are starting to get old!” Chuuya balled his fists. Aizawa seemed slightly confused by the change of personality and how they were acting. They had gone from quiet to loud.

“Stop fighting, Nakahara, don't hit Dazai.” The black haired man walked further into the house. Chuuya shot Dazai a glare but he backed down. The ginger was more respectful than Dazai anyway, so he followed after Aizawa. The omega set down the cat and followed after Aizawa. For the first time since entering he noted the house smelt primarily like omega, with a tinge of a beta’s faint scent.

They entered into a kitchen, and, of course, with little to no respect Dazai just sat in the nearest chair. He would have sat on the counter, but the shrimp had been glaring at him for a while. He guessed that if he sat on the counter, he'd end up on the tile floor, and Dazai disliked pain, so he opted out of doing that.

“Are you two hungry?” Aizawa’s question broke the silence that had settled over the trio when he had yelled at Chibi.

“No, not right now.” Chuuya responded, moving to lean against the door frame. Aizawa nodded and offered them both a glass of water. Only Chuuya took the offered water, Dazai just took it so the alpha wouldn't bother him about it later. He traced his finger around the rim of the glass boredly as Aizawa looked for some way to continue this conversation, especially since neither teens were trying to continue it.

“So, in two days you both will join class 1-A. I'm their teacher, neither of you are allowed to be without a student or hero unless you're at the dorms. They will be just returning from internships.” Aizawa paused and pinched the bridge of his nose, ”And hopefully none of them react badly to having villains in their class.” Dazai could understand that, especially seeing as no one knew who they really were.

The front door creaked open and the pro hero President Mic walked in. “I'm home Shota!” Dazai glared, he did not appreciate the yelling, and neither did Aizawa, though he wasn't as irritated by it as the omega sitting on the chair was. Chuuya wasn't affected, probably because the alpha yelled a lot himself.

The beta walked up and kissed Aizawa on the cheek before turning to Dazai and Chuuya. “Hey little listeners! You two must be the new students at UA! Well, I'm the English teacher! You can call me Mr Yamada!!” Gosh the man was loud, but Dazai could admit, this was very valuable information. Right, since they were joining UA they would get to see inside where the best heroes became great. “So how are you two?”

“Terrible” “Good” Chuuya shot Dazai a glare for his answer. The omega just shrugged, that alpha could get over it. if he thought it was such a big deal that he said the truth he could get over it. “Ignore the mackerel, he's good as well. you?” The ginger said, likely trying to avoid the whining that would follow if Yamada asked him to elaborate.

Yamada glanced between them, sniffling a chuckle, and Aizawa took a sip of coffee from his mug. Dazai had to do a double take, when had he gotten that? Actually, when the man had taken off his scent patches, but as Aizawa's scent filled the air of the kitchen, mingling with Chuuya’s now more docile scent, it made sense why it smelt so strongly of omega in the house, like a lot of sense. The black haired man was a dominant omega. “That's good, I'm great! I'm happy to have you little listeners around. You both are supposed to join 1-A correct?”

“Yeah, we are. How are the students in that class?” The brunette set his chin on his bandaged arms, letting his loyal mutt do the talking. Plus, his dog really liked talking.

Yamada glanced at Aizawa, prompting him to answer instead of him. “They're problem children. Probably one of the worst classes I've had. Always getting into trouble.”

“Shota, we both know you love those students!” “I do not.” Dazai thought their dynamic was interesting as the two playfully argued on if Aizawa liked his students or not –would he and Chuuya act like this? The omega shook away that thought, Chuuya had made it clear that was never going to happen.

He decided to ask a much better question, where they were sleeping tonight. "So, where are we sleeping?”

Yamada turned away from his mate. Dazai had figured that out by the mark on the back of Yamada’s neck, and he assumed Aizawa had a similar one. “Ah! of course, come with me, we have an old air mattress we can blow up! sorry there's only one, I hope you two don't mind sharing.” Yamada scratched the back of his neck as he said the last part, he must have been nervous saying it or something. Lucky for him, neither Dazai nor Chuuya actually minded much.

Dazai followed behind Chuuya, who was still making small talk with blond. “That's no worry, we don't mind.” The brunette held off muttering a ‘speak for yourself.’ They walked past a room with a bed, which was likely Yamada’s and Aizawa's. before arriving at a closet.

“It should be in here…” Yamada muttered as he looked through the closet. “here it is!” he heaved a large box out of the closet, and Dazai could only guess it was heavy.

“Here, let me help you with that.” Chuuya grabbed the box from Yamada, making the box look feather light.

“Thanks little listener! follow me, you both will be sleeping in the front room.” The blond started walking, back the way they came. Dazai lazily trailed behind the pair, who much to his displeasure, had not stopped talking. They passed the same boring rooms before walking past the kitchen and into the living room where Aizawa was lying on the couch sipping a cup of coffee. Dazai shot him a sideways glance but didn't say anything.

Yamada opened the air mattress box, taking the folded polyvinyl chloride object out and setting it out on the floor. The blond grabbed the inflator and plugged it into the outlet on the wall and into the mattress after spreading it out. He then clicked the on button. Dazai winced slightly at how loud it was. It didn't scare him, he just disliked such loud noises.

“Damn that's loud!” Chuuya yelled over the noise of the machine, earning a hard glare from Dazai.

Aizawa stood up with a sigh, “I'm going to go make dinner.” Dazai had to strain slightly to hear what he said. Yamada nodded, flashing the man a thumbs up and a big smile as his mate left the room.

It was 5 minutes of agonizing noise before the mattress was completely inflated. Chuuya didn't even act affected, which irritated the omega even more. It was loud, dogs are usually scared or irritated by such loud noises! As soon as it was done, the bunnette flopped onto it, sprawling out just to irritate the alpha.

Yamada chuckled as the omega did that, not understanding fully why the bandaged teen had done it. “Hey! You waste of bandages, you're going to stink up the bed with your stinky fish scent!” Chuuya snapped, grabbing Dazai by the back of his shirt and hauling the lanky teen like he weighed nothing.

“But sluuuug, I'm tired.” The brunette hit the ground with a thump, clearly, he did a good job at irritating his dog with his whining.

Yamada just shook his head with a sigh, looking between the two teens “Little listener, you shouldn’t do that, and plus, Dazai doesn't have much of a scent as a beta.” Neither Chuuya nor Dazai made a comment on that part, both knew it was what the heroes thought, and that was good.

“Dinners done Hizashi.” Aizawa called from the kitchen.

”We're coming Shota!” The blond yelled back. Dazai was glad this was only a temporary housing arrangement, he wouldn't last very long with all the yelling.

The omega collected himself and his long limbs and pushed himself up and got to his feet. Chuuya grabbed his hand, dragging him off to the kitchen. “Awe, does chibi want to hold my hand?” Dazai teased, earning him a kick in the shin.

They entered the kitchen after Yamada, the brunette was dragged to a seat and Chuuya let go of his hand. The alpha went and sat in the chair next to the one he'd left Dazai at, and the omega sat down very begrudgingly. Food sat on the table in front of the brunette, and he just began pushing the food around on his plate. The slug lightly kicked his ankle, a silent ‘you better eat a little’

Dazai glanced at the alpha, who had taken a bite of his food, and took a small bite. “This is pretty good,” the brunette had to agree, it did taste good. He went back to pushing around the food, some kind of curry if Dazai guessed right.

“It is! Shota is quite the good cook right?” Yamada had cleared half his plate already, and Aizawa had done the same –though a little less than the blond– and Chuuya had eaten a quarter. Dazai had eaten maybe a bite or two, he took another bite so that neither of the heroes suspected something.

That proved to be ineffective, because Yamada said something. “Hey little listener, do you not like the food?”

Dazai shook his head flashing the hero a smile, albeit fake, but it would do the trick. “No, I'm just not that hungry, that's all!” the brunette put on a cheery tone, and Yamada nodded. He had accepted the excuse and the omega couldn't be happier he had. Chuuya on the other hand gave him a glare, and Dazai begrudgingly ate half the plate. That pleased the alpha and he let the rest be. The ginger would usually finish off what he didn't eat, but he guessed he wasn't hungry as he took Dazai's plate and made small talk with Aizawa as he took them into the kitchen. Leaving Dazai with his thoughts.

Dazai knew Yamada was looking at him, but the omega was trying to recenter his thoughts. Chuuya had been pleased, which made the part of him that wanted to please the alpha and be a good omega happy, which currently, was not optimal. Fuck his instincts, fuck the stupid bite on the back of his neck, fuck Mori for causing all of this.

Dazai pushed off the table, scooting his chair back and standing up. “I'm gonna go get ready to go to bed.” Dazai realized they had no toothbrushes currently, oh well, his dental hygiene sucked anyway, he'd be ok if he went 1 day without brushing his teeth. He had gone days when he was younger so it'd be fine to just miss one day, he would request toothbrushes tomorrow. Right now? He just wanted to go to bed.

He flopped down on the air mattress, Chuuya and Aizawa’s conversation was slightly audible as he closed his eyes and tried not to pay attention to them, especially not the short ginger alpha.

Now that he was settling down, he thought over what was currently important and what could send them both to jail. Currently, everyone probably saw them as minor gang members with a few mafia affiliations. Nothing too bad, maybe a gun for hire. Which was completely wrong. In this man's house, being treated as guests, was the demon prodigy and the vessel for Arahabaki. So, yeah they had it completely wrong. The most infamous duo in Yokohama being considered just misled teens by heroes. Dazai would see how this played out. And what would come of it.

The bed dipped as Chuuya joined him in the bed, mumbling something about how he was a stupid mackerel and covering him with the blanket. Dazai was curled up, knees to his chest, and the slug placed one arm over him. The omega knew it was a tactic to make sure he was still there, but he wished he could tell Chuuya not to give his stupid useless instincts false hope.

That was Dazai's last thought before he drifted off for a few hours of shut eye. He never slept for long, he just hoped he wouldn't have any nightmares here.

this actually turned out different than I expected. especially from the first draft too. which, I may post those on the side on another fic that's absolutely going to be a literal shit fic. I'm not sure how many terrible drafts we will get but that is certainly something that might happen. second chapter when? donno. However I'm began writing it while waiting for my beta readers (timezones💔) besides that, I also currently have no one whos read bsd in my beta reading arsenal.. my beta readers currently just making sure the fic is good and my grammar and spelling mistakes aren't obnoxious. (though if you see them jd appreciate them being pointed out)

I've tried to ignore my immediate turn offs for a fic, like first person/second person, author jumping in out of authors note, no quotations, short chapters with little substance, and heavy mis characterization. Though I'm not the best as conversations so I'm trying on that front! hopefully c2 is better..hah.. I hope…

this fic will be mainly centered around Dazai and what he's going through. Rarely will we see other characters in perspective. Nor will I make Dazai's character something I think its not. and, sorry to all the Mori haters, this fic Mori is not a bad person with Dazai! he was still a bad person with Yosano but he's trying to own up to his mistakes with Dazai. although somethings he's done doesn't really reflect that. Also, Akutagawa fans, rejoice, the abuse cycle never happened! The only issues between the two is caused by Dazai trying to figure out his own issues. Which remember, it's dangerous to be a omega in the mafia and they're only about two or so years apart! It was only during the first few months where Dazai would give Akutagawa whiplash. But at the time when soukoku was taken Akutagawa is considered Dazai's pup and.. because I'm mean is kinda distressed that he's gone. Akutagawa kinda considers Chuuya dad and Dazai mom only instinctively tho. Dazai’s scent is always on Akutagawa btw, even after his leave because he only has his pup scent currently and because Dazai scents him basically everyday the scent won't wear off until he presents. this is a common thing in this abo btw where their mother's scent sticks with them until they present. Only Akutagawa, Mori, Chuuya, an any executives know Dazai's an Omega.

Btw erasermic is going to be the only cannon mha ship in this. Sorry to anyone else who wants another ship to be cannon. I MIGHT hint at another ship but it's very unlikely that it will become cannon. sorry! soukoku is the main focus so sorry bout that 😞

Oh, and I forgot to say, I'll probably draw the two an how they look in this fic, but I'll give you a short description on how Dazai and Chuuya look in this fic since it's a little different from bsd 15/16 cannon. Dazai is a brunette with tossled, fluffy, and soft hair, one eye coverd in bandages and the other devoid of all light, his face is speckled with freckles and he has braces, he wears bandages on his torso and stomach, arms, neck, and legs. Chuuya is a short ginger boy whose hair is well groomed and taken care of, he is covered head to toe in moles, beauty marks, and freckles, he has one brown eye (left) and one blue eye(right). he wears a hat, black gloves, and a choker at all times.
