Dignity was a loner at most, in his teenage days and even now. Due to the rumors a long while ago. It’s almost hilarious, him? Being associated with one of the dumbest myths among all? Fat chance.

But, It was never about the theories, or gossip, or anything.

He kept to himself except the presence of his friends every now and then. Without them or his band, he’d usually stay at his apartment, laying at home. Listening to music or staring at the celling while rapid thoughts roamed his mind while grumbling about his part time job awaiting the next day.

Each day was like a simulation for him; Wake up from the couch, get ready for work, get off work, go to practice with his band, go home, shower, lay down and think about his life.

But, that changed, somehow.

He used to spend a lot of his days building, and ranting about his dumb builds and love for it. —And as well as, well, starting arguments and finishing them. He had a few friends on there too, one of them being Minish.

Minish was kind, informational and smart. She comes to a conclusion quickly, as well as gives actual helpful constructive criticism, its helpful, it benefited him before.

His thoughts went to her once in a while. Of her sweet tone, her advice, and her gaze. He scoffed at the thought, remaining still. He never enjoyed dwelling on people, he has had girlfriends, dumped them, then forgotten about them.

He never dated Minish, and yet his mind constantly thinks about her. Even years after they last talked. It was weird, seriously. Couldn’t this be . . . stalker-like? He wasn’t sure if that even was exactly a word.

He tried to shrug her away, putting people that roamed his mind in a scrap song he usually just slapped shit together, but, she was confusing for him, like a tongue-twister. He couldn’t ever put her into words, words that could describe her perfectly. Making him more agitated than ever.

In multiple songs, he described her as a nuisance. A nuisance he couldn’t get out of his head. Scrapped. Breathtaking? Scrapped. God, it felt like torture, like the heavens above were dangling it in front of him like a pair of toy keys. He groaned, his arm laying sloppily over his face and covering his eyes. He hated the feeling, hell, despised it.

The next morning, he woke up with red marks on his arms, drool from his chin. Sloppy, what a joke. He grunted as he got up and stretched, it was an off day for him with work, able to relax before his phone buzzed. His eyes blinked tiredly, picking it up and muttering.

. . . Hello . . ?”

He flinched his head back as he was met with an alive tone, way too happy for. . 8 in the morning.

“Hey, D! Mornin’ to you too. Listen, the band wants to go out for once, probably to a restaurant? A record label recently reached out to us and wanted to meet up. You in?”

“I mean, sure, why not.”

“Great! I’ll send you the location. Make sure you dress nice. Don’t need all of us lookin’ pretty while our bass player looks like he just rolled outta bed.”

Dignity rolled his eyes as the call hung up. Standing in place for a minute, or two . . 3. He needed to get ahold of himself. He slowly shifted, walking into his room and grabbing a nice pair of clothes, and getting ready for the day.

He left his home after that, getting into his car and driving up to the restaurant. He grumbled as he got out and waited at the front of the place, waiting for his band.

Then . . He saw her. Her in her full glory, the woman that roamed his mind every goddamn time he had time alone to himself. It was years when he last saw her, nearly forgetting her face, but never her gentle voice. His eyes were glazed over as he stared at her.

His band member peeked in front of him, catching him off guard.

“Yo! You alright, D?  Looked like you were dozing off, cmon, we’re inside.”

Dignity was at a lost for words, sadly following him behind, but not without sneaking a few glances at her.

He sat down at a booth seat next to his other band mates, shaking his head. He couldn’t get distracted right now. Especially when something important is happening this moment.

She wasn’t gonna leave his mind at all, isn’t she?
