I'll keep you my dirty little secret

Summary:

"We really shouldn't be doing this," She managed to mumble in the space between them.

"Do you want to stop?" Silena's expression had turned serious. She would if Clarisse asked. She'd back off and wave her goodbye and go about the rest of her day. And that sounded absolutely awful.

"Nope, I just needed to say it so it would be known I'm aware of how stupid we are."

This is basically me giving Silena and Clarisse their own stable scene, except Percy gets to be Frank.

Notes:

This fic happened because I saw an edit using Dirty Little Secret. (hence the title) It wasn't even a ruegard edit but I got inspired I guess and my brain started doing stuff and now we have a fic. :D
This is a bit experimental for me and lowkey my first time writing a makeout scene so be nice lol.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

"What are you doing here?"

"Can I not spend my very little free time visiting my girlfriend?" Clarisse replied as she leaned against the door of the pegasus stables.

She couldn't help but notice how much Silena's smile brightened after hearing the word girlfriend.

Girlfriend. They were girlfriends. And somehow no one had caught on yet. It probably helped that they were always extremely careful. Clarisse knew she was taking a bit of a risk by sneaking off to see Silena. But after seeing her smile she already decided it was worth it.

"I just didn't realize you had time today."

Clarisse shrugged "I didn't. But I made some." She walked further into the stables. Silena was just finishing washing her hands at the sink. She turned to look at Clarisse.

"Awww. You're ditching your responsibilities for me?"

"Sil I ditch my responsibilities whenever I can."

The girl walked over to her grinning, "Still. You're here."

"It's been awhile..." Clarisse tried to defend, but she trailed off as Silena wrapped her arms around her.

"I'm happy that you're here," she clarified, letting her head rest on Clarisse's shoulder. They both relaxed into the hug. Clarisse took a deep breath, her nose filling with the sent of Silena's vanilla and rose perfume.

"You should do this more often," Silena mumbled into her ear.

"What? Hug you?" She laughed gently at Clarisse's response.

"Well yes. But I meant the sneaking out to come see me."

"That can be arranged..."

"Don't get in trouble though."

"I would never," she muttered sarcastically

Silena beamed and pressed a quick kiss to her lips. She pulled away too soon in Clarisse's opinion. She dimly realized it was probably for the best. After all they weren't in some secluded forest clearing at the moment. But that didn't change how badly she wanted to lean back in.

"It's also been awhile since we've kissed," she tried to keep her voice casual.

Silena snorted, "It's been 4 days."

"That's a long time!"

"Mhm"

She noticed the look on Silena's face.

"What?"

"Nothing." She smiled slyly "I just never thought I'd have the infamously mean and scary Clarisse La Rue begging me to kiss her."

She immediately opened her mouth to protest the use of the word begging. Then stopped.

"Well I never thought soft and kind Silena Beauregard would be the reason I'm putting concealer on my neck."

She grinned like it was a compliment. Honestly to her it probably was. Stupid Aphrodite children.

"I was wondering about that..." She trailed off as her hands slide up Clarisse's neck, stopping on the spot she'd kissed to bruises a couple of evenings ago. A slight shiver went down her spine. "I had been pretty sure I'd left a mark."

Silena's hand slide up further, starting to tangle in Clarisse's curls. Her other hand had ended up gently shoving her backwards by the shoulder.

Clarisse let her. Silena knew the stables better than she did, and she would definitely know where there was a nice corner to make out in. Silena eyed her neck again.

"At least I'm teaching you a useful skill."

"Covering up hickies??"

"It's a rite of passage in the Aphrodite cabin!"

Clarisse would've rolled her eyes, but suddenly her back hit a wall. The logical side of her brain caught up to her. Some corner in the stables wasn't the same as the middle of the forest away from everybody. Even having realized that, she couldn't bring herself to care very much.

Silena laughed, her forehead falling to rest on Clarisse's. When she pulled back the flirtatious glint had returned to her eyes.

"Don't worry we have time before I'm supposed to teach riding lessons."

"How much?"

Silena's grin was back, "Enough."

And with that Silena leaned in to kiss her. She wasted no time with taking it slow, instead the second their lips met Clarisse was being kissed deeply and with a sense of franticness. It was something about their limited time together combined with the rush of doing something they weren't supposed to. It made Silena kissing her seem extra exhilarating.

Clarisse really hadn't intended for this to happen. She was sure they'd just have a quick conversation and a nice hug and then Silena would be the responsible one and kick her out. She had definitely not expected to end up against a wall being kissed senseless. But then again she had absolutely zero complaints about her current position. Silena's hands were tangling in her hair and brushing against her neck. In response Clarisse had wrapped her own arms around Silena's waist pulling her close. Not that she really needed to, their bodies were already pressed as closely as possible from Silena's effort to push her fully against the wall. Still Clarisse felt the need to hold onto her. One of her hands slid to her back grabbing onto the fabric of her t-shirt while the other kept it's tight hold on her hip.

Silena kissed her like she needed it to stay alive. Which Clarisse found appropriate considering she felt like she might actually die if Silena stopped. She was using enough force to effectively pin Clarisse to the wall. The realization surprised her at first, considering the other girl was decently shorter than her and definitely not as strong. Although honestly Clarisse's brain was having a hard time focusing on the logistics. Any doubts about Silena's strength slipped her mind as she gently bit Clarisse's lower lip. Silena wasn't known for being physically strong, but she held her own kind of strength. It was in her expressions and the way she talked. Her ability to soften people with a single glance. Sure Clarisse could beat her in a fight, but she had never been as weak in front of anyone as she had been with Silena.

At some point she felt Silena pull away slightly. She chased her lips for a second before realizing she was trying to ask her something.

"Do you have enough concealer left?" She was glancing quickly between Clarisse's lips and neck like she was trying to make a decision.

"Shut up and keep kissing me," Clarisse murmured, eyes already closing while she let her head fall backwards slightly to expose her neck better. Even just these few seconds without Silena's lips on her suddenly felt like a form of torture. And even her level of strength had it's limits.

"I'm taking that as a yes." She could tell Silena was smirking even with her eyes closed.

"You talk too much-" Her complaint was cut off with a gasp as she felt lips brush her neck. Finally. They trailed a familiar line towards the base. A spot that was easy to hide but still felt absolutely divine. Clarisse's breath started coming in short pants as Silena's lips moved across her sensitive skin. As she struggled to stay quiet she decided being kissed by Silena was probably the best feeling in the whole damn world.

"Gods you're so hot," she mumbled between quick breaths. Silena's lips found hers again in no time. For a second all the could feel was Silena's stupid grin against her own mouth. And then she was being kissed with just as much fierceness as before. It really was a treasure to have Silena like this. Her soft, careful exterior melting into something more raw and passionate. Silena was the camp big sister, the advice giver. No one guessed she was giving some girl hickies in her free time. And no one would even consider that girl being Clarisse. In made her a little extra happy in some way. To see this side of Silena and not have to share it with any of her gossipy fellow campers. To let Silena simply be hers, and to allow herself to be completely Silena's. Plus, she was a really good kisser.

Suddenly the girl pulled away sharply. Clarisse almost made a noise of protest but it was stopped by Silena's hand clamping over her month. Her eyes were wide and her expression was quickly turning panicked. Clarisse tilted her head in question. Her brain not recovered enough to comprehend the situation.

"Silena?" Her whole body froze as she heard the voice call out. Silena was glancing between Clarisse and the front of the stables. She seemed to come to a decision and carefully removed her hand from Clarisse's mouth. She was about to whisper a question on what to do when Silena shoved her to the ground and attempted to casually walk out of their corner. Whoever was there obviously hadn't seen them yet which meant they still had a chance.

"Silena! Sorry if I'm a bit early, you just keep telling me when I'm late and I was trying to make it up to y-did I come at a bad time?"

Clarisse recognized the voice almost immediately (now that she wasn't in the middle of being made out with) and it must've been her lucky day because the person who had just walked in on them kissing was Percy fucking Jackson.

"Yeah! Yeah no it's fine! I just uh...give me a moment."

Clarisse almost facepalmed at how clearly flustered Silena sounded. Although honestly she wouldn't be doing much better.

"Okay..." There was a beat of awkward silence between the two. "Well I'll just go start getting Blackjack set up."

Silena stepped forward in an attempt to protest. But she clearly couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't sound suspicious. She faltered as Percy walked further into the stables.

Clarisse shrank as far into the corner as she could. Just keep walking. Don't stop and see me. Please. She thought desperately. His eyes flicked across the edges of the stalls looking for the one that held Blackjack. He glanced right past her as Clarisse held her breath. Unfortunately he did a double take and his eyes fell fully on her little corner. Percy's jaw dropped practically to the ground and his eyes got the widest she'd ever seen them.

"Clarisse?!?!

She groaned and let her head fall into her hands.

"What are the chances you'll believe she was just helping me with the pegasi?" Silena's voice got louder as she approached the two of them.

"Considering the fact that there's lipstick smeared all over her face...not high."

Her head shot out of her hands as she frantically began rubbing the area around her lips. Sure enough her hands came away with a reddish pink twinge. She held back another groan and instead resorted to glaring daggers at Percy. His brow was furrowed like he was still putting all the pieces together. His eyes must have caught on something else because they widened again.

"Damn it's on your neck too."

"Shut. Up. Jackson." She actually lunged forward a bit.

Silena stepped in very suddenly, seeming a little worried for Percy's safety.

"Hey hey hey. Let's have an actual conversation about this please."

Clarisse rolled her eyes at her girlfriend's peacekeeping tendencies. But in reality she was grateful. Her automatic aggression often got in the way of having friendly conversations, so it was nice to have someone to occasionally keep her in check. The last thing they needed was their secret getting misinterpreted and spread around. Silena helped her up from the ground and slipped her hand into Clarisse's. This wasn't an unusual action for the two of them. But Percy watched it with a look of new understanding on his face.

"Can I tell him?" Silena leaned over to whisper in Clarisse's ear. It was stupid to ask when he clearly already knew something was going on between them. Even so Clarisse loved Silena for asking permission. She'd never do anything unless she knew Clarisse was also on board with it. She squeezed Silena's hand tighter, "Go ahead."

Silena nodded in response and then took a deep breath, "Okay Percy, we're dating."

His eyebrows shot up and Clarisse resisted the urge to roll her eyes again. She supposed it was one thing to catch them kissing and a whole different thing to find out they were actively dating. Still, he seemed overly surprised in Clarisse's opinion.

"What?!" Percy blinked a few times as he processed the information, "How long has this been going on?" He asked while his head shook in disbelief.

Silena looked up thoughtfully, "About two months now? Give or take."

He managed to not look too surprised at that statement. Instead his puzzled expression returned. Clarisse found it a bit funny honestly. He looked like he was trying to solve a particularly difficult math problem and was failing miserably.

"What about Beckendorf and Chris?"

"Covers," Clarisse finally answered, "So people don't find out about us." She glared at Percy again.

He held up his hands in surrender, "I would just like to say I'm not the one making out with my girlfriend in the stables."

"You don't even have a girlfriend!"

Silena pinched the bridge of her nose in exasperation. Her other thumb starting to rub small circles onto Clarisse's hand. It calmed her down immediately.

"It doesn't matter. He knows now and the important thing is he's not going to tell anyone." Silena shot him a very pointed look.

His expression softened slightly, "I would never say anything unless you two were ready to share."

Clarisse felt the glare melt off her face. He didn't deserve it anyways. As much as her and Percy had their issues with each other, she knew he was a good kid. He wasn't a gossiper, and he always tried his best to keep his word. Really he was one of the better people to catch them in this situation.

"You can tell Annabeth if you want," She blurted it out before she could really think it over. The statement was a peace offering, an attempt to show she wasn't actually mad. Also he probably wouldn't be able to keep it from Annabeth anyways. Those two talked about everything together, "as long as it's okay with Silena that is."

He blinked at her for a second before a small smile stretched across his face. Gods that boy was in love. All you had to do was mention her name and he'd be smiling for the rest of the afternoon. It reminded Clarisse a bit too much of a certain someone.

Silena nodded in agreement, "I don't mind that"

"But if anyone and I mean anyone else finds out, you're dead." Clarisse added sternly.

Percy nodded seriously.

"Well I'm fine with starting lessons a bit later today if you two need some time to sort out all," he gestured towards them, "that."

"Sure," Silena sighed gratefully, "See you in another 10 minutes?"

He nodded and turned to leave. Just before he got to the door he turned around, his signature troublemaker grin on full display, "You know I'll probably still be late to most of my riding lessons. Just by about 10-15 minutes." He raised an eyebrow at them and then slipped out of the stables.

Silena and Clarisse looked at each other for a second and then both burst out laughing.

"I can't believe that happened," Clarisse muttered through laughs

"You're the one who confidently said this was a bad idea!"

"Yeah well I didn't think anyone would actually walk in!"

Silena threw her hands up in exasperation, although she was still giggling.

"Hey it might've been fine if you weren't wearing lipstick."

"Hmmm doubtful."

They had inched closer together and Clarisse had instinctively pulled Silena against her.

"Why are you wearing such a noticable shade anyway?" She said as her eyes carefully took in Silena's features.

"I told you earlier! I didn't think you had enough time to come by!"

"Mhm right." Clarisse murmured, one of her hands reaching up to cup Silena's cheek.

The girl stared up at Clarisse in response, "I'm really glad you did though."

Clarisse leaned in and kissed her. Slow and gentle, a complete contrast to how they were before. She knew they should stop and she should leave, but she needed one more moment where they could just exist together.

When she pulled away Silena was smiling at her. Smiling in a way that made it seem impossible for Clarisse to ever leave her side.

"You really should be going."

"I know. I just..." Clarisse hesitated

"Really want to keep kissing me?" Silena offered.

The both laughed and Clarisse shook her head gently in an attempt to deny the absolutely correct statement. Silena saw right through her, not that she was trying that hard.

"I mean it's a Saturday, which means the campfire is going to be longer tonight. We could probably sneak away..." Her eyes sparkled with implications.

"You come up with the best plans."

Silena laughed again and pressed one last kiss to her lips before walking her to the door.

"I'll see you tonight!"

"Tonight," Clarisse agreed, grinning. The smile stayed on her face the whole walk back to the Ares cabin.

Notes:

I can never let these two kiss in peace...
