Zeus And The Forgotten Past of Another

Summary:

Jupiter never spoke to anyone after the Grand Tack, after Planet X's absence.
The only few he talked to were Saturn, his beloved.
And he only spoke time to time with the younger Icy Giants.
That was until....

Notes:

Hey Guys.

I have been thinking of this story idea for a week now, and I think it's time to share it!!!!
This story is Earth and Jupiter-focused (Yes, Son and Father relationship here, Earth x Jupiter shippers have to leave NOW!)
And I will be cross-posting this on Wattpad on my oneshot book!!!!
Leave a Kudo or Comment if you wish! ✨❤️

Chapter 1: Grief Of The Past

Chapter Text

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!"

"X!!" Jupiter cried,

"OH NO!" Saturn cried as she tried to reach the smaller dark blue planet.

But it was too late, Planet X was gone.

"Did we use too much gravity?" She asked,

"I think we did, come on, we have to go after him!" Jupiter cries as he attempts to move out of his new orbit.

But Saturn stops him,

"No! You can't!!" She says in panic.

"We have to, he's our friend, we need to go after him!" Jupiter cries as he shoves Saturn's hands away from his shoulders and then attempts to run after Planet X.

"But Jupiter, you will only cause more harm. The Solar System is still unstable, and moving around will just cause more damage!" Saturn says.

"We can't just leave them there! How will Sun react? How are we going to tell Sun about this?" Jupiter asked in worry.

"Tell Me WHAT?" Sun's voice echoed.

Jupiter and Saturn froze before turning around in fear, seeing Sun giving them a stern look.

"Oh! Hey Sun! Are you alright?" He asked nervously while noticing how Saturn was hugging his arm in fear.

"I'm fine, Jupiter, but where is Planet X?" Sun asked in worry as he instantly noticed the darker blue planet's absence.

"He-um, he left Sun", Jupiter says.

Sun's eyes looked panicked as soon as the words left Jupiter's mouth.

"What?" He questioned.

"Yeah, he left, I don't know where", Saturn says.

Sun's eye twitched before he started screaming again, hands flying up to his head as a held back solar flare shot across the system.

Jupiter held onto Saturn as Sun continued to scream and cry out.

Jupiter gasped as he woke up,

As he sat up, he held onto his head.

It has only been a couple of years since the absence of Planet X, and the memory was still clear and raw in his head.

It was all his fault, the destruction of the early rocky planets, the ejection of X. All of it!

Jupiter's eyes travelled to Sun, who seemed to be quite calm, but his eyes showed sadness.

Of course, after Planet X's ejection, Sun has been feeling so upset and sickly.

The bigger planet has been trying to talk to the star, but that has only resulted in small talk from time to time, which has done nothing.

Jupiter was hoping to speak to him today, regarding his well-being and mood.

His eyes travelled to Saturn,

She seemed to be asleep next to him, with her hair spread around the pillow on which her head rested.

Their relationship since the incident has grown,

Sun also approved them as husband and wife, so they were now officially married.

Jupiter was proud and happy just as much as Saturn, but the trauma of X remains in his mind.

He wondered when he would ever forget about the accident and just move on.

"Jupiter?"

The bigger planet froze and turned to Sun, who was giving him a soft yet sad glance.

"Yes, Sun?" He asked.

"Are you alright? You seem tense," The star says in concern.

"Yeah, I just... just had a nightmare, that's all", Jupiter says.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Sun asked in worry.

The bigger planet shook his head,

"No, Sun, it's not that deep", He says.

"Very well, how are the other planets doing?" Sun asked, hoping to maybe know about the icy giants.

"Neptune is doing alright, he has some new moons to take care of", Jupiter explained as he thought about the ocean blue planet.

Sun chuckled,

"I still remember the look on Neptune's face, he seemed so happy to have moons in his orbit", He says with a smile.

Jupiter looked at the star's face as it seemed like Sun looked a bit better,

"How about Uranus? Is he recovering well?" The star asked.

Jupiter frowned as he remembered the other incident that occurred a couple of days ago.

Uranus got into a collision with one of his moons.

Sun didn't notice as much since the star was quite far from the icy light blue planet's orbit.

He only knew when he was able to pick out a scream.

Jupiter explained the whole situation,

Luckily, Sun didn't panic as much when he found out that Uranus was still alright and stable.

He told Jupiter and Saturn to give him some help and care when he wakes up.

As for Neptune, he seemed to become quite protective and was guarding the Kuiper Belt from time to time.

But so far, Uranus hasn't woken up,

"Still isn't awake, Sun, Neptune has been checking, but the planet is still asleep", Jupiter says.

Sun sighs,

"I'm sorry", He says.

"It's not your fault, Sun, these things happen", Jupiter says, trying to comfort him.

"I know, but I feel like I could have done something to stop it" Sun says in a saddened tone.

"We all felt the same but it was all of sudden" The gas giant says.

"I know, but I could have stopped it with my gravity", Sun says with a painful sigh.

"Sun, even if you did, I don't think it would do any change", Jupiter says sadly.

There was a bit of a pause before the star spoke up again,

"How about Saturn?" Sun asked.

"She is alright, just asleep at the moment", Jupiter says.

"It's good that she is getting some rest. I have noticed that she has been restless and a bit stressed," Sun says.

"Yeah, she has been quite stressed, but she's alright", He says.

Sun hums and then looks down to see the new rocky planets that seemed to be forming from the debris of the wreckage of the past rocky planets that Jupiter destroyed.

"Have you been alright?" Jupiter asked,

"Yeah, I guess I have to be", Sun says with a sigh.

"Sun, you don't have to be alright, it's okay if you aren't. Is there something wrong?" Jupiter asked.

"No, nothing is wrong, I'm just nervous for the new rocky planets", Sun says.

Jupiter observed the new rocky planets that seemed to be floating around Sun asleep.

"It's going to be alright, Sun, just don't think too much about it", Jupiter says.

Sun sighed.

"I hope so"
