[Advice] I think my friend isn’t human, how can I confirm/check?
I’ve never posted on here before, so apologies if I am not clear. One of my friends insisted that this is the right place to ask, so here I am.
I’ve been friends with this guy for a while, we’re coworkers. But lately I’ve been wondering if he’s some sort of supernatural being. It sounds crazy, I’m aware, but I cannot come up with any other conclusion other than this.
I can't disclose much, but we have a lot of close calls in our line of work. He never seems too bothered about his own injuries, always insisting that he's fine even if the wound is terribly deep. Unless of course— It’s deeply concerning how unbothered he is by such incidents at times. On top of that, he's never tired. Like to the point where you have to wonder if he even needs to sleep. I've seen him pull all nighters in a row without getting a drop of sleep and still be fine.
He might have mind reading abilities, quite frankly. Anytime I feel down, he somehow spawns out of nowhere. He also manages to guess what I'm thinking about, approximately, 89% of the time. I once asked him straightforwardly, “Are you not human?”, he chuckled and gave me a mischievous smile, before changing the subject.
Also, his tolerance. Whenever I visit him— which I do quite often, he offers me a bucket or two of water while he insists on sipping his fire water. Surely after some time, that has to be deadly? I don't think I've seen him eat much, either. He brings and offers to cook dinner for the both of us sometimes, but he insists that I eat it all. No matter how much I try to force the issue, he doesn't budge.
I tried asking my pops but he brushed it off quickly, but I could tell he was hiding something. Again, I’m not accusing my friend of anything egregious of any sorts. I’d just like to know what kind of entity I’m potentially dealing with.
Edit: Thank you for the suggestions, I have asked him to hang out in a few days. I will update you all on how it goes.

⬇ OP, surely there's another logical conclusion other than this? I am not denying the possibility, I merely say that he could just as easily be a human with an eccentric personality, along with perhaps the worst sleeping schedule I've ever seen. I suggest you talk with him and express your thoughts?

No, steak. Steak dinner. I meant precisely what I said. If he used a stake, that could potentially be fatal. Hardly convenient. OP mentioned that his friend never ate in front of him, perhaps his friend would feel compelled to finish the meal, at the very least. Besides, if you wish to find out if he's a vampire that badly, you can always get extra garlic on his dish.
