Chapter 1: Reach for the Stars

Chapter Text

“...Anddddddd… ACTION!”

A tall latina walked into frame, adjusting the camera and giving a little wave.

“Welcome one and all, to… Disventure Camp: All-Stars! I'm Kristal McLane, your Hostess with the mostess, bringing a brand new season of everyone’s favorite reality show right to your doorstep!” Kristal explained.

A shorter man with glasses walked over to her. “And everyone's favorite co-host is back too!” Oliver exclaimed happily, to which Kristal just smiled.

“Ahem… you must be forgetting about us.” Nina said flatly. Marcus just waved at the camera.

“Let's… get on with the show, alright?” Kristal asked awkwardly.

“As I was saying…” Kristal cleared her throat. “We brought back everyone's favorite contestants for another season!... and also Dan. That's right, we're doing an All-Star season!”

“All-Stars? This early? You really ran out of ideas already? Nina said sarcastically.

“Be quiet, Nina! We don't want the Disventurians to know that, now do we?” Kristal snapped back, waving a hand dismissively.

“Disventurians? Is that what we're calling them now?” Oliver asked.

“Uhhh… Oh, look at the time! Let's notify our lucky All-Stars, shall we?” Kristal said, taking out her phone and typing in a number.

We cut to…

Ashley, who's working on her farm, albeit a little too hard, before her phone interrupts her. She answers it, confused, but her eyes widen once she hears the news.

It slowly cuts to everyone else:

Hunter and Ally in one of their streams,
Jake helping Miriam with baking,
James taking a photo with Aiden in Brazil,
Lake and Rosa Maria hanging out in Mexico,
Riya getting ready to record for another one of her movies,
And Karol tending to some of the nearby animals, just to name a few.
Before they're all stopped in their tracks by that notification.

It reads:

“Congratulations, you've been invited to another season of Disventure Camp, you know, that show you love so much! We hope to see you there!”

We cut back to Kristal, who is now seen talking to an unknown number.

“You're running late, y'know…” Kristal said, annoyed. An unintelligible voice can be heard from the other side of the phone.

“Fine… but you better get here soon.” Kristal said, exasperated, before hanging up.

“Now, where was I? Oh, right!" Kristal points at Marcus and by extension, Nina.

“Marcus, gather everyone onto the plane, it's go time!” Kristal said with a determined smile.

The camera cut to reveal Kristal standing on an airport runway, grinning ear to ear while a jet plane waited behind her back. “We are currently in Ottawa, Canada, to pick up our first five (5) participants!” Kristal enthusiastically said, while Jake and Miriam walked into view. “Say hello to our fan-favorite blue-haired twink, Jake! You ready for All-Stars?”

“Hi Kristal! You bet I’m excited!” Jake ardently replied, before his smile slowly disappeared. “Shame Miriam isn’t going with me though. I’d really like extra help.”

Miriam shook her head, disagreeing. “Nonsense Jake! I’m sure you’ll take care of yourself well enough without me. You can’t expect to rely on me forever.”

“Y-Yeah.. you’re right.” Jake replied sheepishly, a small smile returning to his face.

Kristal rolled her eyes at the display of kindness and yawned. “Alright, enough of this sweet-talking, we’re already behind schedule. Get on board Jake!”

Miriam and Jake hugged each other one last time before separating, with Jake waving Miriam a goodbye as he boarded the plane.

Kristal’s face fell as she saw the next person walking towards her plane. Nevertheless, she forced on a smile and introduced the second All-Star.

“Here comes nobody’s favorite all-star, Dan!” Kristal exclaimed pointing at the know-it-all, earning an eye-roll.

“Gee, warm welcome much?” Dan said flatly, not exactly surprised by Kristal’s slander.

“I must clarify, the only reason you’re here over Miriam is because she dropped out at the last second for health reasons.” Kristal cleared up, snorting at this mere fact.

“Yeah, how could I forget? You only mentioned it 6, maybe 7 times?” Dan replied unenthusiastically, rubbing his neck with his arm.

Kristal took no notice, pointing at the jet door. “Enough chit chat, get on board!”

Dan walked inside the jet, muttering something inaudible under his breath. Once inside, he took a spot next to Jake, who was boringly staring out of the window. The blue-haired twink didn’t seem to notice the purple boy, which made Dan uncomfortable. After a moment of silence, Dan finally spoke up.

“Um… Hi, Jake?”

Jake gasped, clearly startled, before looking to his left and sighing in relief.

“Oh, Dan! I didn’t expect you here.” Jake said, surprised to see the know-it all here before smiling at him. Dan smiled back.

“Yeah, well I’m glad to be here for a second chance!” Dan replied, relaxing into his seat while rummaging through his backpack.

“Same here! Though I’m surprised, I didn’t think you’d count as an All-Star.” Jake replied, raising an eyebrow while putting a finger up to his chin. Dan’s face fell instantly, only leaving behind unimpressed eyes and a scowl.

“Geez, thanks a lot.” Dan said sarcastically, rolling his eyes and turning away, making Jake confused.

The camera cut back to Kristal standing on the runway, looking disapprovingly at something off screen.

“Here comes our emerging love birds from Season Two (2) Ally and Hunter! I must say, you really took your time.”

Ally and Hunter ran onto the frame, panting with sweat running down their foreheads.
“See Hunter! I told you to hurry up, and now we’re late…” Ally stated, wiping off the sweat from her forehead.

“I’m sorry! There’s been a massive traffic jam and..” Hunter quickly replied, looking through his duffel bag, before his eyes widened upon noticing something missing. “Oh shit, Ally, I um.. I forgot the switches!”

Ally gasped in response. “Seriously?! I reminded you right before we left!”

Hunter looked away in shame, rubbing his neck with his free hand. “I-I got distracted.”

The gamer girl sighed, staring at his boyfriend blankly. “Now what are we going to do in our free time?”

Kristal, having had enough of their little argument, decided to finally break the tension “Well, good news for the two of you, electronics are prohibited at camp this season.”

Ally looked at the hostess in surprise “Wait, why?”

Kristal continued “We decided that campers should have no contact with the outside world this season.”

“See Ally? Everything turned out well in the end.” Hunter stated nervously, smiling at his girlfriend.

“Yeah, but it feels like no matter what I say you never listen to me.” Ally answered dejectedly, causing the pale boy’s smile to drop as he looked at his feet in guilt.

“Enough bickering!” Kristal finally declared “Now, get in.”

Ally and Hunter complied, boarding the plane in silence. Upon getting on board, both walked up to Jake and Dan sitting in one of the front rows.

“Jake! Hey! I was a huge fan of yours in your season.” Hunter said eagerly, causing Jake to smile in response.

“Really? Wow, I’m honoured!” The gullible boy replied, surprised people actually stanned him.

“Yeah, shame what happened between you and Tom though.” Ally added, looking at him in pity and understanding. “Do you guys still talk?”

Jake looked at her dejectedly, stiffening up at that question. “I-I’d rather not talk about that…”

The gamer girl looked at him in worry “It’s okay, I get that you might feel uncomfortable. You deserve someone better than him.”

“I don’t know… I think I still have feelings for him. I just… I just wished he called me, or even just left me a sign that he still wants to fix things.” The blue-haired boy’s eyes turned glassy for a bit, before he blinked those tears back.

“At least both of you are in this season. Maybe you could use this time to reconnect, right?” Hunter inquired, causing Jake to think about it for a second.

“Yeah, you’re right! Joining this season was a good idea now that I think about it.” Jake finally smiled back, lifting the heavy atmosphere. The couple smiled back at the gullible twink in response.

“Um… You guys do know that I’m also here, right?” Dan finally spoke up, catching the attention of Ally and Hunter.

“Sorry Dan! It’s just… You’re so forgettable I didn’t even notice you.” The player blurted out without thinking. Ally sighed in disappointment and smacked Hunter in the head.

“For fucks sake, Hunter! Can you stop fucking everything up for 5 seconds?!” Ally angrily asked, causing her boyfriend to frown. She turned to Dan. “Sorry Dan, I’m sure Hunter didn’t mean it like that.”

“I-I didn’t!” Hunter nervously replied, stumbling over his own words. Dan rolled his eyes in response and turned back to his book.

The scene once again cut to Kristal, smiling as the next All-Star ran into view.

“And finally, our ex-spy and favorite himbo, Tom! You’re crazy late man, I hope you know that.” Kristal stated disapprovingly as Tom stopped to catch his breath.

“Sorry! Met an old friend at the TSA. We used to train together-” Tom started rambling, before Kristal cut him off with an unimpressed look.

“Did I ask?”

“Yeah?”

“Ugh” Kristal rolled her eyes. “Move it, buster!”

Tom complied, boarding the plane only to be greeted by a familiar face. The cop’s eyes widened upon seeing Jake, and the two awkwardly stared at each other for a few seconds. Finally, Tom broke the silence

“U-Um.. Hey! Jake! Nice to um… Nice to see you again!” The ex-spy said, stumbling over his words. The blue-haired twink snapped out of whatever he was thinking about, his head desperately trying to throw together a response.

“T-Tom! Um… How’ve you been?” Jake hesitantly said, smiling slightly at Tom.

“Oh you know… Work got in the way and, you know…” Tom trailed off, not sure what to say in this awkward situation. Jake looked down.

“You could’ve called, you know…” The gullible boy quietly said, making Tom sweat slightly.

“Sorry.. I was dealing with a lot at that time and… w-we’ll talk later!” Tom blundered out, before quickly walking away to sit somewhere in the back. Jake sighed, fiddling with his sleeve while Dan gave him a pitying look.

After about two (2) hours of flying, the plane reached its next destination - New York City.

The screen cuts to the inside of the airport, showing Gabby and Ellie sitting down with their luggage. Ellie is clearly thinking about something deeply, worrying her girlfriend.

Gabby finally spoke up. “Ellie, are you feeling okay?”

That seemed to snap the ginger out of her trance, making her look up at Gabby. “Yeah Gabs… I’m just worried… I mean, after working two (2) jobs to support the both of us, my mental health kind of suffered as a result.”

Gabby looked down at her shoes, hugging herself. “I’m sorry that I couldn’t find a job… I looked everywhere, and yet no one wants to hire me!” she cried, disappointed in herself.

“It’s okay Gabby, I know you did your best.” Ellie said, patting the Polish girl on her back before continuing “ It’s just that… I wish I could have a normal life, where I have enough money to actually fulfill my dreams and let us both live in peace, where we don’t have to worry about paying bills or rent. But… maybe some dreams are just bound to never happen…” Ellie miserably finished, resting her elbows on her thighs and scowling.

“Don’t say that Ellie!” Gabby exclaimed, not wanting to see her girlfriend beating herself up over it. “That’s why we’re here aren’t we? We’ll do our best to try and win that perfect life the both of us desire!”

Ellie smiled in response, her hands moving to cup the tree huger’s face. “Yeah… I wish I could be as optimistic as you…”

Despite Ellie’s slight negativity, she kissed Gabby on the lips which surprised her. Nevertheless, Gabby quickly melted into the kiss, before that too was interrupted.

“I’m not interrupting anything am I?”

The couple gasped before looking at Tess standing in front of them, having a funny look on her face. Ellie immediately pulled back, her face red from both the kiss and embarrassment. “ T-Tess! Hey, I didn’t notice you.”

“It’s okay, I just got here anyway.” Tess clarified, calming her friend down. “The plane didn’t arrive yet?”

“If it arrived we probably wouldn’t be waiting here, would we?” The ginger joked, earning a snort from Gabby.

“Harr harr, I guess you’re right.” The asocial replied, lightly punching Ellie’s shoulder.

The Polish girl finally spoke up “Hey Tess! Nice to see you! It’s been a while hasn’t it?”

Tess nodded in response, smiling at Gabby “You’re right, given college and work and all that stuff.” She sighed, thinking about her life before continuing. “You know, you and Ellie make a great couple.”

Gabby smiled warmly in response. “Aw, thank you!”

The three girls heard the plane land at that moment. Tess and Gabby were both smiling at that, while Ellie looked a bit nervous.

“Oh, they’re here!” Gabby grabbed Ellie’s hand and dragged her to the plane, while Tess snorted at that, following close behind.

The screen cuts to Ally and Hunter sitting in the front row, both looking dejected until they hear the jet door open.

“Ally! Hunter! Where has the time gone?” The asocial started, causing the couple to perk up in excitement.

“Aww samesies!” Ally said in response, before the trio shared a group hug for a few seconds.

Upon separating, Hunter asks the black-haired girl, “How have you been Tess?”
The asocial shrugs in response, still maintaining a smile. “Could’ve been better, but I’m alright.”

Following that, Gabby and Ellie board the plane. To Ellie’s utmost surprise, no one bothered to say hello.

“Um, hello? Is no one going to greet me?” Ellie asks, gagged that no one gave a shit that she had arrived.

“Take a wild guess.” Jake replied, clearly irritated by her mere presence.

“Look, I could forgive you for what you did during the season, but those interviews?” Tom added bitterly.

“Yeah! You’re lucky we even want to speak to you.” Dan finished, earning a glare from Gabby.

“Oh come on, it’s been two years and you guys are still mad at that?” Ellie attempted to defend herself, which failed.

“How could we not be? You dragged us through the mud on international television?” Tom argued, glaring daggers into the ginger.

“Ugh, whatever. Hold your childish little grudge.” Ellie rolled her eyes, grabbing Gabby’s hand. “Come on Gabby, let’s leave these losers alone.”

Gabby followed Ellie, while shyly waving at Tom.

The screen cut to a map of the world, with a small plane icon leaving NYC and heading for Los Angeles.

As the plane arrives at its next destination, Kristal steps out once more. “Ahhhh… the beautiful City of LA!” A moment of silence. “I pity anyone who lives here.”

An elderly man jogs up to the plane, looking quite tired. “I got here as fast as I could!”

“Connor, welcome back! Still alive and kicking, I see?” Kristal joked.

“Thanks! I'll be frank, I didn't expect to come back, but I'm glad I-”

“Make way, make way!” A voice rang out, shoving some audience members out of the way.

“Riya! I've been meaning to ask you, did you… did you mean what you said on TV last week?” Connor asked.

“Hm? What do you mean?” Riya asked back, checking her nails.

“Y'know, how you…” Connor started,

Fade to a flashback of Riya at an interview.

“Well, well, well… if it isn't Riya Sharma herself! Congrats on getting into that new season of Disventure Camp!” A reporter chirped.

“Tell us… how would you improve from last season? As in, what do you think your biggest regret was?”

Riya stopped for a second, glancing around before conjuring up a smile. “My only mistake was choosing Connor as a helper in the finale.”

The reporter gasped.

“What? It's true. All he did was slow me down.” Riya explained.

“Ohhhh right, that… Well, I couldn't keep my fans waiting, now could I? I just told them what they wanted to hear.” Riya said, flipping her hair.

“Right…” Connor said, obviously not buying it.

“What's up with you two this time?” A middle-aged woman walked up to them.

“Karol! It's good to see you!” Connor waved cheerfully.

“Save the reintroductions. I came to win this time around, and I'm not letting SOME PEOPLE get in my way…” Karol said, entering the plane.

“Uh… what's her deal?” Asked Connor, to which Riya just shrugged.

The camera cuts to Kristal one last time, who is now smiling with her hands on her hips.

“Finally, we’re all here. Next destination is Texas!”

As the three of them board the plane, they come across Hunter, Ally, Jake, Tom, and the weird purple one.

“Hey cool cats! How are you? Long time no see!” Connor said, sitting down.

“Connor! Hey man! Glad you’re here.” Hunter chimed in happily.

“Oh my gosh, Riya! I'm a huge fan! I was just watching Black Widow's Gambit. You were amazing. Congrats on the Emmy!” Gabby said in her usual excited manner.

“Aha…” Riya laughed at the energetic girl, clearly flattered. “It should have come sooner, but… I guess I’ll accept it.”

“Um… hello? Is NOBODY happy to see me?” Karol huffed, stomping onto the plane.

“Uh… excuse me, who are you?” Asked Jake, genuinely perplexed by who the shorter woman is.

Karol… actually looks pretty hurt by this, and just sits down in her seat. Alone.

Dan looks over and notices the sad expression on Karol's face. 'She seems pretty alone, just like.. me?' Dan thought to himself. 'I should probably make a mental note of that for later.'

Kristal turned on the intercom in the cockpit. “Attention everyone, we are about to make a turbulent landing. Hold onto your seatbelts!”

The plane lands onto the farm, breaking through a fence and landing just ahead of the barn, in front of which stood Ashley and Will.

“Goddammit… I’ll have to fix it when I get back.” Ashley exclaimed, rubbing her nose in frustration.

Will placed an arm on her shoulder. “Don’t worry about it Ashley. I’ll mend the fence while you're away!”

Ashley smiled at the taller man. “Thanks Will… You’re the best!”

“It’s nothing. Now, go kick ass girl!” Will proclaimed, fistbumping the cowgirl who flashed a determined smile.

“You bet I will!” The blond-haired girl replied, waving at him before boarding the plane.

“Howdy y’all! How y’all doin’?” Ashley exclaimed, walking over to take a seat next to… Ellie and Gabby.

“Wait, you’re not holding any grudge?” Ellie asked, genuinely bewildered as Ashley made herself comfortable next to her.

“Hell yeah! Now, don’t get me wrong, what you said did hurt…” Ashley started, face slightly falling upon remembering those interviews.

“Oh it was more than Hurt. It was slander.” Tom blurted out, arms crossed and still visibly pissed at the ginger, who flipped him off in response.

Ashley gave both a funny look before continuing. “But it’s been years. It’s all under the bridge now Ellie. We’re cool.”

Ellie smiled back at her, surprised yet happy someone actually forgave her. “Finally! Someone that isn’t holding a petty grudge.”

Gabby smiled at the two girls, clearly happy Ellie is slowly making amends with others.

The screen cuts back to Kristal in the cockpit. “Now that that’s out of the way, time for us to go to Mexico!”

The plane arrives in Mexico next. Kristal notices a very cheerful Lake Müller, waving goodbye to a purple haired woman.

“Adios girls! See you when I’m back!” Exclaimed Lake.

“Good luck, Auntie Lake!” Sofia, Rosa Maria's little bundle of joy, exclaimed back.

“Bye Lake! And be careful who you trust this time.” Rosa said.

“I will! I just… wish you were coming too.” Lake explained in a somber tone.

“I know, but… I can't leave Sofia behind again. You'll win for the three of us! And P.S. kick Yul in the nuts for me.” Rosa said with a smile.

“Will do!” Lake said, hugging the two of them and running off into Kristal's plane.

As Lake walked along the plane, her eyes lit up. “Tess! How have you been?”

“Hey Lake. A little busy with my arts courses, but otherwise just excited for this mini vacation.” Tess shrugged.

“Lake!” Jake shouted. “Nice to meet you. I read one of your books, the one with the prince and the knight? I loved it!”

Lake giggled. “The pleasure is all mine! Thanks for the support, though it wouldn't have been as successful if it weren't for Tess’ illustrations!”

As Lake went to take her seat, she passes by Riya. The two of them share an awkward glance.

Riya looks hesitant to reach out, but eventually turns away. “Oh please, as if your books could ever match up to MY movies.” Riya huffed.

The plane reaches its next destination - Brazil.

Aiden and James are already waiting on the runway, with Aiden fidgeting with the straps of his backpack.

“Sunshine, is everything alright?” James inquires, startling Aiden who quickly regains his composure.

“Yeah. I’m just worried. I mean- I never did this alone before.” Aiden replies in a somber tone, causing James to wrap his arm around him.

“Don’t worry man. I’m sure you’ll manage without me! And plus, Lake will be there with you.” James comforts the e-boy, making him smile.

“Yeah… Yeah! You’re right James, I’ll do great. I’ll win this season, for the both of us.” Aiden declared enthusiastically, his mood relaxing a bit.

“That’s the spirit! You’ll eat, I just know it.” The influencer motivated his boyfriend, before they kissed one last time. After a few seconds Aiden pulled back and waved James goodbye before boarding the plane.

Upon entering, Aiden immediately noticed Lake sitting close to the front. He perked up immediately, a wide grin forming on his face before he speedwalked towards the German girl.

“Is that award-winning author Lake?!” Aiden exclaimed, pulling her into a tight hug. Lake giggled before hugging back.

“Aww, Aiden… It’s been so long hasn’t it?” Lake replied, before pulling back from the hug. “Rosa and Sofia told me to say hello for them.”

“Aww! How sweet!” Aiden said, before walking to Lake’s row to sit with her. While walking, he passed by Riya and Connor. “I’m still waiting for an apology for that stunt you pulled!” Aiden bitterly said, shooting daggers at Riya.

“Keep waiting, loser. I don’t owe you anything.” Riya told the fanboy, shrugging and checking her nails which lead to Aiden sighing angrily and Connor shaking his head disapprovingly. Before sitting down with Lake, Aiden waved slightly at Karol, who smiled back in response.

As the plane landed in London, a tall British man was already there, sitting on a nearby bench. “Ah, that must be them.” Alec said, closing his book.

“Alec!” A shorter woman called out. “I didn't think we'd ever see each other again…”

“Grett! You look... different!” Alec exclaimed, surprised.

“Listen, I just wanna apologize for how I acted last season, I've been... worked on myself, both inside and out.” Grett explained, looking guilty.

“I see… you don't hold me voting you out against you, correct?” Alec asked.

“Of course not! I've matured since then. I learned that holding grudges doesn't really get you anywhere in life, so… let's just let bygones be bygones?” Grett asked, reaching out a hand for a handshake.

“EXCUUUUUUUSE ME?”

A Korean man stormed between the two, splitting them up.

“And HOW LONG has this been going on?!” Yul asked, agitated.

“Yul… you know I wouldn't cheat on you.” Grett explained, exasperated.

“Since when were you two a thing?” Alec asked.

“It's a long story…” Grett started. “He helped me lose weight, and got me out of a very dark chapter of my life…”

“THAT'S RIGHT!” Yul flung an arm around one of Grett's shoulders. “You look SO much better now. Now you don't look like Lizzo's distant cousin! NYAHAHAHAHAHA!” Yul cackled, making Grett slightly uncomfortable.

“Ahem…” Kristal cleared her throat, checking her watch. “This is a half hour show?”

Alec quickly jumped on board. Yul followed suit, yanking Grett up by her arm.

As they enter, Yul is immediately the center of attention.

“Oh great, it's you…” Karol huffed.

“Don’t talk to my baby like that!” Grett shot back.

“BABY?” Hunter and Ally simultaneously asked.

“That's right, she’s my girlfriend.” Yul proudly declared.

“Girlfriend? Aren’t you gay?” Riya snickered.

“Not gonna lie, I thought you were gay too.” Jake laughed.

“UGH! Don't even try to lump me in with… THOSE people.” Yul shuddered.

“Does this guy know which show he's on?” Asked Dan, before getting interrupted by Yul's phone ringing.

“Hello? Ugh, alright!” Yul hung up. “Excuse me, what I MEANT to say was… I do not belong to the 'LGBTIKZ' community or whatever, but I support all the gays, lesbians and attack helicopters out there!” Yul said, giving a forced smile towards the camera.

The screen then cuts to the inside of a classroom. Fiore is writing “I will not shoot tranquilizers at nuns” for the twentieth (20th) time on the board, while a nun is watching over her. After a few seconds they both hear a plane soar, making Fiore perk up.

“A plane?” The nun asked, clearly confused. The demon child noticed her being distracted, picked up a book from the desk and threw it directly at the nun’s head, startling her for a few seconds while Fiore booked it for the exit.

The nun quickly regained her composure and chased after the child, but Fiore quickly threw her backpack over the wall before climbing over it. “Stop! I’ll call the police!” The nun exclaimed, while Fiore darted for the jet door.

“Close the door!” The eight-year old exclaimed, quickly climbing up the stairs to the jet. The nun stopped a few meters before Kristal, who was smiling while one of her hands was in her pocket.

“Quiet, and it’s all yours.” The hostess offered, showing the nun a stack of cash.

After making sure no one was around, the nun quickly grabbed the money and shoved it deep into her pockets. “I did not see anything” The nun replied, walking off as if nothing ever happened.

Inside the plane, Jake groaned. “Ugh… Why did they have to invite the demon child back?” Fiore flipped him off in response.

Dan perked up. “Hey! She’s more of an All-Star than Trashley!” He exclaimed defensively, not noticing Jake giving him a funny look with a raised eyebrow.

Ashley raised an eyebrow at that. “And what the hell did I do?!”

Fiore raised an eyebrow on Dan defending her, before walking away to her seat.

“That’s a child!” Yul exclaimed, looking at the eight (8) year old in shock.

Fiore rolled her eyes at that “And that’s an ugly pimply bitch!” she said nonchalantally, making the dancer stare daggers at her and Riya snicker at that.

Now with everyone settled into their seats, tension is… noticeably high.

“Are you really going to ignore me the entire flight?” Fiore asked Alec, to which he nodded.

“Oh come on, are you really that angry?”

“You do know that you are the one to blame for most of the problems I’ve had in the last two years, right?” Alec inquired.

“You have no one to blame but yourself.” Fiore simply stated, before slumping back into her seat with her arms crossed. “When are we landing, anyway? We've been on this stupid plane for hours!”

“It looks like we're getting close…” Answered Jake.

“Greetings, contestants!” Kristal chirped. “Before we land, I'd like to reintroduce you all to the staff of this season, along with a new face…” Kristal grinned. A few of the contestants raised their eyebrows at that.

“As some of you may know, this is Marcus, the bus driver, who will be taking the voted out campers to the Losers' Motel.” Kristal explained.

“Howdy, everybody!” Marcus introduced himself, gleefully.

“Wait… it's just him this time? Where's that scary puppet from last season?” Aiden questioned.

Before he could get his answer, he felt a mysterious weight on his hands, and as he looked down… Nina was right there, sitting neatly.

“Hey.” Nina greeted nonchalantly, making Aiden let out a very high pitched yelp.

“Nina, what did I tell you about scaring the contestants?” Marcus scolded, taking Nina back from Aiden's grip.

Oliver jogged up to Kristal and gang “And you all already know me, of course!” Oliver pointed at himself with a confident expression on his face, but that confidence would soon shatter as the next staff member was revealed.

“As I was saying… I'd like to introduce you all to an old friend of mine! Everyone please welcome our production assistant… Emily Campbell!

“Who?” Yul asked, before a redheaded woman walked into the main room.

“Um… Kristal, are you sure you got the right group? Sorry, I get the ick when I'm surrounded by nobodies.” Emily said, flipping her hair.

“As I previously mentioned, Emily will be our production assistant, oh and of course, she will help dig up the drama from all the confessionals!” Kristal grinned.

“P-Production assistant?!” Oliver screeched. “M-Miss Kristal, you never told me about-”

“But of course…” Kristal interrupted. “The season wouldn't be complete without interns.”

Kristal motioned for two men to come into the room. “Say hello to some familiar faces!”

“Trevor and Derek?!” Ellie gasped.

“What the heck? We threw you two bitches in jail!” Gabby glared.

“Relax, treehugger.” Derek glared.

“W-We're only here to reduce our prison sentence! C-Community service and stuff! We don't mean any trouble!” Trevor stuttered meekly.

“That's right!” Kristal vouched. “Trevor and Derek here will just be our little challenge Guinea Pigs, that's all!”

Kristal then paused.

“We WOULD have gotten the Scottish dude back, but he's kinda too busy being dead… oh well!” Kristal shrugged.

We cut to a colorful room, Emily is already seen sitting down in one of the two chairs with a sly grin, motioning for Jake to come sit with her. Above them reads a sign that says “INTERVIEWS WITH THE ONE AND ONLY… EMILY CAMPBELL!"

INTERVIEW: JAKE

“Jake! Our viewers have been dying to know. How’s your relationship with Miriam? Do you still keep in contact with her?” Emily asked the blue-haired guy.

“Of course we do!” Jake started, smiling. “Miriam bought a house near the beach and helped me move out of my parents house. We’re practically neighbours now!”

Emily nodded before smirking “What about your parents, Jake? Have any issues with them?”

The gullible twink frowned at that. “No, they’re just… Not really the most understanding people… I just wanted to distance myself from them for now.”

The red hair smiled before asking another question. “Alright, Jake, for the entire interview you haven’t mentioned Tom. What happened between you two after your season?”

Jake sighed and looked away. “Next question please!”

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: HUNTER & ALLY

“So Ally, you’ve gotten quite popular the last year thanks to your time on Disventure Camp. Mind filling us in?” Emily began.

“Well, me and Hunter have around six-hundred thousand (600,000) followers on Twitch! We’ve been able to earn more money thanks to that, and even help Tess out with college!” Ally perked up.

“Right, about Tess, how does your relationship look like now that she’s gone off to college in a different country?” Emily raised her eyebrow, causing Hunter to scratch his neck.

“Well, we still keep in contact, though we don’t talk as much as we used to since Tess is busy with college and we’re busy with our channel.” The social failure replied, causing Emily to nod.

“And the haters? How have you been dealing with them Ally?” Emily inquires, a smirk forming on her face.

Ally rubbed her arms, a frown forming due to being reminded of them. “Well, I love my fans and all, I just could do without the haters.”

Hunter nodded. “Yeah, especially after Ally and I came public about our relationship.”

Ally looked down at her legs and sighed. “I hate having to deal with them all the time…”

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: DAN

“Dan, how does it feel being an All-Star?” Emily asked.

“Well… It’s an honour being here! I know I flopped hard last season, but I’ve done some research and I’m sure I can prove my haters wrong and-” Dan was cut off by Emily yawning, not really caring about what he had to say.

“I’m sorry, does my interview bore you?” Dan asked, clearly confused.

“Um… Yeah? I mean, you’re Dan! You’re like the prime example of a filler person! You’re only here because we couldn’t get neither James nor Miriam!” Emily clarified, smirking.

Dan rolled his eyes and stood up. “Alright, I’m done here!” He told Emily, before exiting the interview room.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: TESS

“Tell us, Tess, what is your main motivation for returning to Disventure Camp?” Emily inquired.

“To be honest, while seeing Hunter and Ally after so long is definitely a plus, I really need the money. Studying in college while living in New York isn’t cheap, and while Ally tries to sometimes send me some cash, it’s not enough to live comfortably.” Tess replied dejectedly.

“And what about Hunter and Ally? Aren’t you bothered by third-wheeling those lovebirds?” Emily continued, smirking.

Tess’ eyes widened at that thought “No, not at all. I’m happy for them. I’m glad that they both found someone who fits them, but I did hear about their recent rough patch so I’m hoping to help them out a bit with that.” The black-haired girl finished, seemingly worried about the couple’s difficult period.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: ELLIE & GABBY

“Ellie, we heard that your fellow contestants aren’t exactly thrilled by what you said in those post-game interviews. Mind sharing your thoughts?” Emily asked.

Ellie rolled her eyes at that. “It’s been over two (2) years by now, they should’ve gotten over it by now. And besides, I never even said anything that bad.”

Emily raised an eyebrow at that, smirking. “Oh really?” She started, before clicking a button on her remote that turned on the TV in the room.

“I heard that Tom still hasn’t contacted Jake. I mean, can you blame him? Jake is so gullible and whiny, dealing with him should count as community service. And it’s not like Tom is much better. I mean the guy’s an idiot! Who goes on a reality show to be a spy?”

“Miriam didn’t deserve to win at all. She preyed on my sympathy and robbed me of a million (1,000,000) dollars by faking a heart attack. She’s twisted! If she pulls that stunt again, I’m letting her go to the light.”

“Purple Team was a disaster. How did Ashley not see through Fiore immediately? Me and Alec knew from the start. I suppose her intelligence matches her upbringing, that’s all I’ll say.”

“Grett is by far one of the worst people I’ve ever met. I heard she changed herself recently, but I don’t buy it.”

“Alec told Fiore he wishes his son was more like her. First off Alec, your standard for children is alarming to say the least. And second, if I saw my dad saying that on international TV, I’d never want to see him again. I mean, poor kid!”

Gabby winced once the interviews stopped playing. “Maybe you went a little overboard, Ellie…”

The ginger only shrugged in response. “Well, I needed the money. Plus, I didn’t lie at all, did I?”

“One last thing before you go.” Emily began. “How come you never made any comments on Dan during your interviews?”

“Who?” Ellie raised an eyebrow in response.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: AIDEN

“Aiden, your boyfriend won the million (1,000,000) last season and now you’ve been travelling around the world! Tell us, how have you been spending the prize money?” Emily asked the e-boy.

“Well, I love travelling so me and James mostly used that to travel around the world! We visited Brazil a few weeks before I got invited to visit James’ sister and bought her a new car.” Aiden replied enthusiastically, smiling at those memories.

Emily rolled her eyes. “Boring! Do you still hold any grudges about James using you for clout?”

The superfan shook his head at that. “Nah. We both made up after all. I get that he wasn’t in the best state mentally so I can’t hold any grudges against him.”

“Yeah um… Whatever…” Emily scowled at the lack of drama from the interview.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: TOM

“Tom, our viewers are dying to know what you were up to during the last two (2) years.” Emily asked the ex-spy.

“Well, after stopping Trevor and Derek, I got hired as a policeman. My career wasn’t exactly too noteworthy but it’s a good job.” Tom started, thinking about everything that happened in the last years.

“Cool, cool.” The woman nodded. “So what about Jake? How are things looking between you and him?” She asked, startling Tom for a brief second.

“W-Well I was um.. I was busy with my job! Yeah, I didn’t really have time to talk things out due to my job and some other stuff.

“Sure…” Emily looked at the cop suspiciously, causing him to look away.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: ASHLEY

“Well Ashley, do you have any new strategy for this season?” Emily asked.

“Yeah! Well, I realized that last season, I wasn’t really willing to play dirty or ally with any dirtier players. I learned from my mistakes though, and I’ll take home the victory, no matter the cost!” Ashley exclaimed proudly.

“Interesting… And what about you and Will? How are you two getting along?” Emily asked, which made Ashley's grin fall slightly.

“Well… We broke up.” Ashley said solemnly.

“Seriously? Why? You made such a great couple.” Emily said sarcastically, a smirk forming on her face which the cowgirl failed to notice.

“Well… We tried to make it work but.. I don’t know… Maybe it was just never meant to be.” Ashley said, quieter now. “Though at least we’re still on good terms!”

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: FIORE

“Fiore, how’s life been since Season One (1)?” Emily asked the demon-child, who shrugged in response.

“My stupid parents put me in a boarding school because they were sick of me!” Fiore grumbled out, crossing her arms. “I don’t care though, I’m smarter than all of those losers combined.”

“Sure… Whatever makes you feel better about yourself.” Emily said, smirking.

“What was that?!” The eight (8) year old demanded, staring daggers at the redhead.

“What was what?” Emily answered back, making Fiore groan and roll her eyes.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: LAKE

“Well, if it isn't everybody's favorite German girlboss, Lake! Big fan, by the way.” Emily announced.

“Thanks for having me!” Lake replied happily.

“Don’t mention it, you knew we had to invite you back, you kicked ass last season! Speaking of which, how's life been treating you after the whole, y'know…”

“Is this about my parents? Well, you'll be happy to know that I don't live with them anymore. I live with Rosa and Sofia now, and I couldn't be happier!” Lake beamed.

“While that's nice and all, I heard you became a famous author? What gives?”

“Oh, that? I just… always liked writing stories, is all, and being able to show them to the rest of the world is like a dream come true! I couldn't have done it without people like Rosa and Aiden, though. I'm sure I'll make them proud!”

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: GRETT

“Grett! Many of us wonder, how did you meet Yul?” Emily asked.

“His manager introduced us during a brand deal. Yul and I really hit it off… He’s been my spicy abed boyfriend ever since!” Grett said dreamily.

“But weren’t you concerned after how he behaved during his season? How’d you guys make it work?” Emily interjected.

“Well, he does act somewhat off sometimes, but… he tells me it's just tough love. And at the same time, I lost weight because of him, he helped me when I was at my lowest… I feel like I owe it to him.”

“Hm… I did notice your demeanor has changed significantly. Did the criticisms from fans about your body and weight contribute to your shift in personality?” Emily asked.

“I-Is that supposed to be a professional question? I should have you fired!” Grett shouted.

“Oh please, you KNOW that if Kristal fired the hot new co-host, the ratings would go down the drain.” Emily winked at the camera.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: YUL

“Yul!” Emily beamed. “Ok, we haven't heard from you since your appearance in the finale of last season, and suddenly in the last few weeks, you and Grett are in the spotlight as a couple?! Tell us everything!”

“After my season, I had some trouble finding new dance contracts. I completely blame my old manager, by the way. He made me look like an IDIOT on live television!” Yul explained.

“...Weren't you the one who said those racist things?” Emily questioned, a small smirk tugging at her lips.

“UM… My manager advised me to say those things! Totally! Don't worry your pretty little head, I fired him the moment I got home!” Yul retorted with a confident smile.

“And… do you expect anyone to believe you've changed?”

The silence is almost deafening.

“Well- Of course I am! I'm back to show everyone who I really am!”

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: CONNOR & RIYA

“Riya, you’ve been the talk of the town ever since your appearance last season. Tell us, how’d you become so successful in Hollywood?” Emily asked.

“Hm… I suppose people finally recognized my talent. After the show, my current producer was able to get me on a bunch of network dramas and I quickly became “the villainess of TV”, as the internet so lovingly put it.” Riya answered, adjusting the sunglasses atop her head.

“Interesting! And what do you think about that, Connor?” Emily clasped her hands together.

“Whu- Me? Well, I'm just happy she was able to succeed on her own!” Connor said, caught off guard.

“The public wants to know… what happened between you? Are you a couple now?”

The two contestants stole glances at each other.

“Uh... it’s complicated.” Connor started,

“We… actually haven’t seen each other that often.” Riya finished.

Connor cleared his throat. “As you heard, Riya’s been busy with her career. And I’ve been busy expanding my perfume company. So this new All Star thingy will be a great way to catch up and spend some more time together!” He laughs.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: ALEC

“Alec! It’s been two years. What made you come back?” Emily started.

“Money.” Alec said, flatly.

“I see you're looking a little worse for wear. Mind filling us in about your life? You've been MIA for the last few years, what gives?” Emily asked. “Tell us everything, what are you struggling with most right now?”

“...Money.” Alec answered back, looking a little more nervous.

“Is that all? Surely there has to be something else troubling you… like your marriage, perhaps?”

“Let’s change the subject.” Alec demanded.

What about this photo? Emily asked, pulling out a photo of Alec with his wife and son.

“Ok, we’re done here.” The taller man promptly stood up and left the interviewing room.

INTERVIEW END

INTERVIEW: KAROL

“Karol! It's safe to say that I didn't expect you to come back.” Emily declared.

“Let's just make this quick.” Karol huffed.

“Right, so… how's life? Did anything interesting happen?” The redhead asked.

“What does it look like? And better yet, why do you care? Everything's been the same. If anything, the game's made me even more miserable!” Karol yelled.

“Then… why come back?” Emily asked, perplexed.

“Isn’t it obvious? To prove myself! I won't go down as some Karen who failed to win the game twice, I'll make sure everyone remembers my name!”

“I see now… well, good luck out there! And don't break a hip~” Emily chuckled.

INTERVIEW END

Eventually, the plane seems to be slowing down, looming over Camp Tipiskaw. Kristal looks out of a window confidently, with her hands on her hips, before her face contorts into a wicked grin.

“Attention everyone!” Kristal called. “We’re currently flying over Camp Tipiskaw. Unfortunately we haven’t been cleared for landing…”

“Since when do you care about clearance?” Ashley called out. “You landed on my farm…”

“Let me explain. You will all grab a parachute and jump.” Kristal started,

“WHAT?” Shrieked Aiden.

“Trevor, Derek, may you demonstrate?”

“Wait, what are you-”

Before Trevor could finish, Kristal strapped a parachute on him and kicked him out of the plane, Derek following suit in the same fashion.

“While plummeting, you must open your parachute which will reveal the color of your team this season. Inside the parachute backpack, you’ll also find a map. When you land, you must use the map to reach the camp of your respective team.” Kristal explained, ignoring the interns’ screams.

“Wait… camp? What about the cabins?” Asked Tess.

“Oh right, I forgot to mention that, didn't I?” Kristal chuckled sheepishly. “You are prohibited from bringing your luggage and belongings, as well as any electronic devices.”

“What? I didn’t agree to that!” The actress angrily said.

“Why didn't you tell us this before?” Grett asked, a little uncomfortable.

“I never agree to jumping out of a plane!” Ellie shouted, a hint of vulnerability under that stone cold mask.

“What if we don't jump?” Jake finally asked.

“If a million dollars isn't reason enough, for this third season we tripled the prize. The winner will win three million dollars!” Kristal gleefully announced.

“Well, when you put it like that…” Riya stood up and quickly yanked a parachute from Kristal's hand, jumping out of there.

Everyone else, realizing they don't really have much of a choice, quickly rushed towards the parachutes. Ellie yanked Gabby by the arm a little too forcefully and the two of them soon made it out of there with parachutes in hand.

Meanwhile, Oliver seems to be highly confused by everything going on. “Why didn't Miss Kristal tell me about Emily being here? I-I used to be her number one!” Oliver shouted, slightly panicked.

Connor ran up to the shorter man, oblivious to his inner turmoil. “Hey Oliver, buddy! Just wanted to say, congrats on the promotion!”

That seems to cheer the little blue man up. “Aw, thanks Connor! I'll be here to help with whatever you need!” Oliver said, giving a thumbs up.

“Now if you'll excuse me, I have an actress to catch up to…” Connor said, taking a parachute and jumping out of the plane.

Everyone soon jumps out one after the other. Gabby and Ellie, who are now holding hands, open their parachutes, revealing themselves to be on the Cyan team.

“YAAAAAAY!” Gabby screamed, hugging her girlfriend. “We're on the same team, babe!”

“Heh… yeah, I guess we are.” Chuckled Ellie.

Meanwhile, Ally and Hunter give each other a fist bump once they see that their parachute colors are Magenta, but their mood sours once they take a look at Tess.

“Oh no, Tess!” Ally shouted.

“Don't worry about me, everything will be okay in the end; focus on yourselves for now.” Tess assured them, though judging by her face, she looks pretty sad herself.

As Connor and Riya struggle to open their parachutes, Connor's sad to see that his parachute's Magenta, while Riya's is Yellow.

“Um… W-We can still talk during the challenges… right?” Connor asked nervously.

“Yeah, totally…” Riya answered, rubbing her shoulder.

“Ugh, great! Just what I needed, I'm stuck with the curry girl!” A voice rang out, causing Connor and Riya to turn around, revealing Yul and Grett, whose parachutes are also Yellow.

Before Yul could make any more remarks, Riya proceeded to give him a big slap across the face. “AAAAAAGH!” Yul screeched. “What was THAT for?”

“DON'T hurt my baby like that!” Grett got in between the two of them, sparking a large argument between the 3 of them, with Connor just awkwardly watching.

“Yes!” Aiden and Lake both cry about in victory, high fiving each other after they find out both of their parachutes are Cyan. They look over to see Fiore and Ashley glaring daggers at each other, both of their parachutes Magenta.

While Ashley is obviously annoyed by the fact that Fiore's on her team, her interest is piqued by Jake, who's has a Magenta parachute, somberly looking over at Tom, who has a Yellow parachute, completely ignoring Jake and talking with Alec, another person with a Yellow parachute.

“So… I suppose this makes us teammates?” Tom said jokingly.

“Don't think I'm gonna be all buddy-buddy with you just because we're on the same team this time…” Alec crossed his arms, unimpressed.

After Dan finally stops fiddling with his parachute and opens it, he realizes he's on the same team as not only Ellie, but also Gabby.

“Oh great…” Sighed Dan.

“Um… who are you again?” Ellie asked mockingly.

“That joke isn't funny anymore the ninth time, y'know…” Dan huffed, sounding pretty hurt.

Lastly, Karol opens her parachute and realizes she's on the Yellow team. She takes one good look at her team… Yul, Riya and Grett fighting, and Alec and Tom just awkwardly falling next to each other, not even daring to make eye contact with each other.

“This can only end well…” Karol muttered to herself sarcastically.

Back at the plane, Kristal can't help but snicker to herself.

“God I missed this show. Finally our biggest season is about to start! The 18 most iconic participants of Disventure Camp are back, this time to compete for three million dollars. However, this time the conditions are totally different... There will be no cabins, no showers, no bathrooms nor dining hall! From start to finish, participants will only have a camping tent and basic supplies. New challenges and new twists await us in the longest and most difficult season yet! With the three teams formed and looking for their camp in the forest, we wonder... Who will be voted out first?”

“Find out on the next episode of… Disventure Camp: All-Stars!”
