   Summary

   "I just wanted to know what the big deal was. I wanted to know what it was about her that you liked so much. I figured the closer I could get to her, the closer I'd come to figuring it out. I became a bit obsessed, all the while thinking, 'this must be what fancying someone feels like.' Why else would I want to slap you just for looking at her? My friends were so happy for me. Proud, even. And my parents weren't happy, of course, but they seemed relieved. At least I was dating a girl. More than anything, though, I finally had your attention."
