   "I really didn't want you to see me this way," Rich sighed, she lifted his head up with a gentle palm to tender skin. Marge squinted at the bruises forming over his cheeks, the dark crescents beneath his eyes, running a soft thumb lightly over them.

   "Rich, if I never saw you this way, I fear I would've never seen you again. I wouldn't be able to live with that.."
