"Oh that, uh. Wait, why would you even be here if you thought- oh nevermind, you're just being an ass." The thing piloting Takumi's body rubbed his face. "I mean I guess you're not completely off base..."
"Excuse me?"
"Well, the... thing is, I think I've figured out how to create the Ruby Tear. It's supposed to make it possible to bring back the dead. Darumi, Kyoshika, Kurara, Eva... Nozomi..." Takumi's voice broke on the last name.
Something inside Eito broke with it. He smiled bitterly. "So that's it, is it? That's the trade you have to make. One life to save five."
Takumi took a deep breath. "Yeah, pretty much. You've got it."
"And that's why you chose me."
