Chapter Text
-London, 1509, Henry 8ths reign-
Jones wasn’t the happiest selling and baking bread as his job but it was much better then other jobs out on the market currently. He turned a corner in to an alley with his bread cart (still full of the stale bread, he’d never been the best at making it) and breathed , long day was finally over. He’d made a grand total of about..-
“What? Where’s my money gone?!” Panic shivered through jones it was his only makings for his family, they lived off his job.
Jones patted himself down and span around he ran back up the alley, jones took this route all the time after his work ended. The alley was never usually this long, he turned a corner again, and again and again.
It never ended.
Jones stood, just there on the mud floor, panting until he could breathe again.
He breathed out, you could see the air. He pulled down his dirty shirt Trying to warm himself up. Just got colder.
A hand clamped around his mouth. A inky coloured hand, black cold sweat yet cold it’s bones visible like its skin didn’t fit right
He screamed- nothing came out
--Present day—
‘so then where to now?’ Donna asked.
The doctor slammed buttons and switches down, fiddling with levers, attempting to keep the misbehaving TARDIS steady and stable. ‘Well’ he gave Donna a wide eyed look then tilted his head. ‘Your choice’.
Donna was strolling around the TARDIS’ main console feeling the intricate wiring, taking in whatever she could see . ‘we’ve just been to 4072 west England and met king James the 10th ’ ‘so how about we go see-‘, Donna shrieked. lights blared. Overwhelming noises erupted, the TARDIS shook violently and the doors flung open, chucking Donna and the doctor across the TARDIS , white firecrackers exploded from the console. ‘WHATS GOING ON???’ Donna bellowed, glaring daggers of panic and confusion into the doctors eyes who’d just came contact to contact into a harsh metal railing, winding him straight into his stomach. his body relaxed into a slump, the doctor let out a big groan, it seems his motivation has also left him along with the air from his lungs.
Another shake essentially with the power of an earthquake
‘DOCTOR DO SOMETHING!!!’ Donna grabbed on to a rusted railing, clenching until her fingers turned white.
The doctor pulled himself off the rails as sparks flew out of the controls and staggered over to the rusted landing handle, worn out but still working.
‘OKAY ALRIGHT WE ARE GONNA LAND WHEREVER WE CAN THEN’
With one yank of an overused lever the TARDIS took to landing.
