"The man then walked around to the other side of the bench and sat down. There was at least two feet between them, but to Mine, it felt like they might as well have been shoulder to shoulder. His annoyance steadily rising, he glanced over.

The man looked to be about his age, but Mine didn't recognize him from any classes or around campus. He wore a black suit with the jacket open, a black T-shirt underneath, and a silver chain and cross around his neck. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one up. A few minutes passed and he said nothing else. Mine really wasn't sure what to make of him. Though, he had to admit there was something about him. He couldn't quite figure it out or put words to it. Maybe… captivating?"
It's the Fall of 1995 and the new semester just started for Mine. While studying outside, he runs into a suspicious looking young man, who doesn't seem to want to leave him alone. While annoyed at first, Mine then finds himself strangely drawn to him. What is it about Dojima Daigo that has such a hold on him?
