    Summary

Paris, 1925. In the heart of Montmartre.

Kimi, once a student at the Private Academy of Classical Arts in Bologna, is forced to leave his family behind as the drums of fascism tighten their grip on his art. He fled to Paris, searching for the raw sentiment that Mussolini’s Italy chose to repress.

Franco, a son of the Argentine working class, clings to his bandoneon and his tango. In a French cabaret called L'Ombre, he translates the violent grief of his people into music.

Or; Franco plays tango in a Montmartre basement, and Kimi finds the perfect muse.

the title is inspired by the tango ‘Tinta Roja’ by Anibal Troilo and Roberto Goyeneche
