Xisuma kept a secret.
A secret he would rather keep forever. But atlas nothing could be kept a secret could it? Even if said secret would destroy his whole life. Xisuma would call his life, and well his own self a pretty normal person.
Average height.
Average eyes.
Average job.
What was not average was the little bear shaped ears poking out from his head, and the long black and red tail that he had tucked up to hide.
That unfortunately was not normal.
So could he really call his life normal? Probably not. Yet he kept lying to himself. A lie he tried to believe but could never believe.
A liar who wouldn't even believe his own lies?
Now how did he get here?
A big hoodie was pulled down to cover his face. Admin school was never easy. Even with his naturally talent of working with code it just was never easy.
Especially with the crack down on hybrids.
Hybrids.
A strange word wasn't it?
A word used to describe people who were not…people. Hybrids.
And unfortunately Xisuma was a hybrid.
So how did he get here?
Crouched down under besides a seat. His ears folded. The train purring as it moved.
"Hey?" Xisuma looks up, he's ears flicking in confusion. "Yes you," Whoever was speaking was quiet, their voice hoarse. They were peeking over the door that lead to the empty section.
"Who…? Who are you?" Xisuma asks after a moment. Keeping his voice low as well to not alert anyone of where he was. He shivers at the thought of them getting him.
Xisuma's heart skips a beat as he waits for a reply. Which luckily came after a couple seconds. "Jevin… My names Jevin," Xisuma blinks, trying to get a closer look at who was talking to him.
"Jevin…?" The man in front of Xisuma nods. Xisuma startled jumps back into the wall, and then clamps a hand over his mouth.
Don't scream.
That will alert them.
"Sorry," Jevin Apologizes, "Let us help you though," He offers a hand to Xisuma.
"Us?" Xisuma questions, tilting his head a little bit.
"Right. Us. We uhm call ourselves hermits… All of us are hybrids," Jevin explains, still offering his hand. "You seem in trouble and we wanted to help you…" Xisuma squints his eyes to get a closer look at Jevin, his skin-well it wasn't really skin. It was slime. The train stops after a moment. But Xisuma couldn't stop staring at Jevin.
He was a slime hybrid.
Xisuma wasn't sure who these hermits were.
Or if they were any safe.
But for some reason he takes Jevins offer with a smile.
That might of been the worst choice he had ever made.
Or the best.
