“Are you the stage manager?” Lestat de Lioncourt asks.
His accent is lighter in real life than it is on the recordings Louis has heard. That’s the first thing Louis notices. The second thing is that he, with his long blond hair, blue eyes and square jaw, is quite possibly the most handsome man Louis has ever seen in real life.
“Ah, no,” Louis replies, when he realises he’s staring. “Viktor…I mean, I…” He feels tongue-tied, and suddenly a lot more sympathetic towards Claudia.
“I see.” De Lioncourt nods like Louis is making perfect sense. “You are Viktor’s…what’s the word?”
“Photographer,” Louis puts in, at the same moment De Lioncourt suggests, “Situationship?”
“What?” Louis squawks.
