Chapter Text

X stared at her from the doorway. “Y? What're you doing?”
Y forced her suitcase shut, laying across it to keep it closed. “Hey, X! This?” She pointed towards the suitcase.
X nodded.
Z stopped in the doorway and scoffed. “Leaving? Get tired of us?”
“Nope! I'm just leaving for the week. I got a ticket from a raffle for a 'once-in-a-lifetime' vacation. I thought I might as well try it out.” She slid off her suitcase and held up the ticket, waving it slightly. “I hope I packed enough.” Her suitcase exploded open, startling X and Z. “Maybe I packed too much for the week...”
Z rolled their eyes.
Y pointed the ticket at them. “Hey, promise you won't fight with X, okay? I know how you can be, Z.”
Z shrugged. “I can't make any promises, Y.”
“Z...”
“Okay, fine! Whatever!” They crossed their arms.
“That's the spirit!” Y closed the suitcase again and pulled it off her bed, fixing the blankets. “Okay, I'll only be gone for the week. I'll send you plenty of pictures though, don't worry! “ She started out the room. “I'll miss you two. Don't argue too much, okay? And make sure you guys eat more than just takeout, Z.”
“Just leave already, we can't miss you if you don't leave.”
Y opened the door. “Right, sorry! Have fun, guys!”
X hugged her legs. “Don't go...”
Y pat his head. “X, I won't be gone long...Z'll keep an eye on you.”
“You'll come back, right?”
“Of course! I'll be thinking of you the whole time, too, you little basket weaver.” She noogied his head.
He released her legs. “Okay...”
She backed out the door, suitcase in hand. “I'll miss you everyday I'm gone.”
“Stop being so dramatic and go already!” Z slammed the door shut.
“Love you too!” She yelled to the shut door, aware they could still hear.

Y looked at the ticket. “Okie dokie, Galaxy Bus number three, seat...five!” She found her seat and sat down, tilting her sun hat slightly to block the sun seeping through the window. “I've looked over the brochure two thousand seven hundred and sixty three times, and I think I finally perfected my agenda!” She dug through her suitcase until she found a folded sheet of paper. She opened it and read it over again. “I'll get there around two pm, so I'll have to get settled in and everything. That should only take about ten minutes at most...”
“The bus will leave in two minutes.”
“After that, I could probably hit the store. I'll need to buy souvenirs for Z and X too. Then I should eat some dinner, then get some rest. The next day is when I can actually do stuff!” She hugged the paper, crumpling it slightly.
The ride took a long time, so Y watched outside the window. She couldn't see the stars at the speed the bus was going, but enjoyed the ride anyway. After the bus stopped at the station, she hurried to ensure she was the first one off. She made her way to the reserved hotel, found her room, then dropped her suitcase on the bed. She opened her suitcase and pulled out her phone. She took a selfie of the room and sent it to Z and X in a group chat, along with a text. She tossed her phone onto her bed and happily left to find the souvenir shop.
She bought X a small Ferris wheel model, that could spin without breaking if you were careful with it, and for Z, she bought a toy car that slightly resembled their color. She bought herself a pair of red sunglasses, with a plastic flower pinned on the top right corner of the frame. By the time she returned to her hotel room, she was completely exhausted. She'd been tired originally, but just ignored it.
She flopped on her bed, looking at the time. “Two hours left until dinner...Hm...Maybe I could doze off a bit. No harm in...getting some sleep.” She removed her sunglasses and hat and put them on the bed next to her. “Yeah...I'll just take a quick nap for two hours. Must be...bus...lag...”
