“That’s it! I give up!” Nick was crying with laughter, plopping down onto the sofa, pulling a laughing Charlie down with him.
“What? You thought dressing the lemur in the zoo in a shirt with ‘Please marry him, I’m cute!’ would do the trick?”
“You are an absolute menace!” Nick laughed, tickling Charlie.
“Get off me!” Charlie giggled, swatting Nick’s hands away. Then he fled into the kitchen.
“Charlie?”
“Stay there, be right back!”
He was, and brought with him a tub of bubblegum ice cream. “Here, you oaf. You need to keep up your strength for your next try.”
