    Summary

Two teams. Two sports. One completely unnecessary rivalry.

When the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Palmetto State Foxes collide at a multi-sport conference, what starts as a few offhand comments spirals into a full-blown competition—despite the fact that hockey and Exy have absolutely nothing in common. Except, apparently, the players.
Between shared cities, back-to-back games, and a media circus that refuses to let it die, the rivalry only gets worse—until the coaches step in. Their solution? Forced proximity. Shared hotels. Mixed rooms. Mandatory team bonding.

Eric McNally is used to pressure, to competition, to winning. What he’s not used to is being stuck in a room with Konstantin Igor Nokovic—a Foxes backliner who sees too much, says too little, and refuses to lose at anything, including whatever this is.

They compare stats that don’t match, argue over games they don’t play, and turn every interaction into a contest.
It would be easier if they actually hated each other.
