Summary
"It's an order, Raditz," Vegeta said, his voice hard and terse. His aura grew so sharp it froze the blood in Raditz's veins, chilling him to his bones. "You will go to Earth and bring Kakarot back to me. Dare to disappoint me in any way and I swear on my pride as a saiyan it will be the last order you'll get from me."
Raditz understood from his stony gaze that he had no choice but to obey. He'd been a fool to think that the loyalty that was obsessively requested of him would be enough to truly satisfy the yawning dread inside Vegeta. After all, royalty or not, they were both caged animals lashing at each other. In the Prince's heart there was no space for anyone other than himself and the pride he sought to maintain.
Raditz had to bite his tongue and bow his head in defeat. He would submit or die, that was the choice that he'd been afforded to him. "I will do as you command, my Prince," he said.
Vegeta had no way of knowing that, for Raditz, that would truly have been his final, fatal order.In which Vegeta needs to reassert himself as Prince and Raditz proves himself a loyal dog for him.
