Summary
After Harry kills the basilisk and escaped the chamber, it's time to head home. The last place on earth he wants to be. After being told "No, you can't go anywhere else and MUST return home" time and time again, he gives up and accepts his fate, hoping to live to see the castle again in two months, after all, what could really happen in the 65 days between then and now?

After being forced to go home for the summer, Harry sees a big black dog and writes a letter to his friends about it, so they know he got home and is... questionably safe, as they asked him to. Snape intercepts his mail and calls for an emergency meeting with the Headmaster and his Head of House as he suspects Black has already found Harry and they discuss the necessary further steps to keep him safe. Harry's summer is about to get flipped upside down and inside out in a way he would never have expected or anticipated. And oh man, is he unhappy about it.
