John wasn't sure how it ended up like this.
His face pressed into Dozers chest, wrapped up in it's blanket.
Dozer rubbed the back of John's head — giving John a sense of comfort.
It held the sinners hand, fingers intertwined as they both shared solace.
One of John's jet-black wings unfolded, wrapping around Dozer — making it purr like a kitten.
The purrs soothed John — letting him feel at ease.
Dozer opened one of its eyes, almost asking permission for something.
John nodded.
Dozers hand slipped from John's, before moving to the soft feathered wing.
Dozer brushed the feathers with it's hand gently, being careful not to injure the man beside it.
John twitched slightly at the brushing, but embraced it fully.
The feathers were unbelievably soft, like petting a rabbits fur.
Dozer continued to purr, the warmth of them both was that of perfect condition.
John was slowly drifting off to sleep in Dozers comforting arms.
And for once, John slept peacefully.
Once John fell asleep, Dozer pulled it's hand from John's wing, wrapping around John's waist.
And soon, Dozer went to sleep too.
