The sky glowed a dark green and aqua as you stared up in an awe like state

Itโs been a week since you moved into this remotely placed cabin in the middle of the forest itโs quiet and unbelievably kind to its newest member
It was passed down to you by your grandmother before she passed
You remember visiting her when you were nothing but a small child without anything to worry about
her cooking was always the best you had ever tasted
But now cooking had become ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ job not ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต for you but for the little creatures that lived amongst each other
In shorter terms you are now the ๐๐ช๐ต๐ค๐ฉ of this forest and it is your solemn duty to keep harm away from your new home
You arenโt to shabby at cooking after all the magical void oven did most of the work
๐๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ญ-๐ค๐ข๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ On the other hand? Well there was some definitely room for improvement and you have been trying very hard but the instructions your grandma left you are awfully vague..
but hey! At least youโre hopeful? Getting used to magic should be easy peasy
Cooking was definitely the easier part of the job but at least the fridge you own somehow always regenerates with food so there always enough to go around for every critter
๐๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ of critters one in particular seems to visit the most frequent
A striped purple cat!
According to your grandmothers notes heโs lived here since we was a kitten
You donโt remember him that much from your childhood which could very well be because you werenโt allowed to visit a lot when you were younger
On his collar the chiseled text reads โArtemiy Artemiyevch pinkerโ but instead you nicknamed him Chenya the reasoning behind it being; that itโs much cuter and to be fair it is
Heโs a trouble maker though that much is obvious
heโs always knocking over items in your kitchen and trying to murder the rats that live in your home along side with you! Youโve scolded him about it before saying that โthe mice help in their own ways and that eating them isnโt on the tableโ
Itโs strange though.. how he looks at you.. he stares at you when you speak as if he can understand every word but ๐ค๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ด๐ฆ๐ด not to listen
It does get frustrating but you were reminded that patience is required when taking care of this land
In the creature catalogue your grandmother left you for easier navigation of everyoneโs favourite foods you were told that his favourite thing to eat is โlavender flavoured cupcakesโ
You were going to question the ethical-ness of an animal eating human food but decided against it
It is definitely a very strange choice but a surprisingly fitting one
You always make sure to have them fresh and ready anticipating his arrival everyday
And every time he devoured them all as if it were the best thing he had eaten which ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฃ๐ฆ they were but itโs not like you could ask him after all.. ๐๐ตโ๐ด ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ญ๐ช๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ถ๐ญ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ..๐ง๐๐๐๐ฉ?

โTwas early dawn you woke up
Most residents of the forest were most active during nightfall but it wasnโt uncommon for some guests to come earlier than usual
During this time of morning you like to water all the plants in the garden ,, gather supplies such as; lavender ,, and other things your fridge doesnโt provide
Once you changed out of your sleep wear you headed off to the garden taking a basket with you as you stepped out
The sun was barely up and the sky had a blue glow that casted over the sky in a dreamy wonderland esc way
Once you arrived you were greeted with the sight of a certain stripy sleeping cat on the grass curled up in a ball
Giggling you went up to him you crouched down and scratched behind his ear inducing a louder purr from him
It wasnโt rare to see him close to the house after all most of the beings stayed near the warmth of your cottage
Sometimes heโd even sneak through your window and sit at the end of your bed on especially cold nights
Not wanting to wake him you stood up to gather all of the items you were looking for
It had honestly ๐๐ญ๐ช๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฅ your mind that the rain from the previous days still remained within the dirt that is currently mud
Taking another absentminded step your foot miscalculated and you had tripped
You squeaked preparing to fall face first into a patch of grass until you felt a pair of warm arms wrap around you and quickly pull you away from your tumble
Hands..wait.. ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐?!
There ๐๐ด a town near by but your home is WAY too far into the woodland for anyone to reach you ๐๐ด๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ค๐ช๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐บ at this time of morning
You had been pulled so urgently that you ended up falling backwards safely into a ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด lap
Feeling a sense of impending dread you suddenly heard a warm giggle come from what you could assume the mystery person behind you
โ๐๐๐๐๐๐!!- you best watch your step Ms.Witch!โ
Whipping your head around you were met with a man with brightly coloured choppy striped purple hair ,, bright yellow eyes and โฆ

Youโre aware magical things live here but you werenโt aware anything remotely humanoid stayed here too!!
Then your eyes met the shiny collar on his neck the gold text bubble twinkled as you read the words..
โArtemiy Artemiyevch.. Pinker?..โ
You muttered quietly seeing the similarities between him and your kitty-companion
which he obviously picked up on because his ear had twitched as soon as you spoke
โUh ah ah! Thatโs ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐บ๐ข to you Ms.Witchโ
Teased Chenya as he hugged you tighter to him suddenly rubbing his face on your as if it were the most normal thing ever
โW-wait.. youโre..?โ
You muttered still in a clear state of shock
โIndeed I am! Your trusted companion at your humble service meow!โ
He purred into your ear the stress and confusion was all too much for your poor brain to handle
so you inevitably

Your head throbbed persistently as you stirred awake
Placing one hand over your head you groaned and tried sitting up
Only to feel a heavy weight atop you
As well as purring that sounded ๐๐ญ๐ญ ๐ต๐ฐ๐ฐ ๐ง๐ข๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ณ
Your eyes widened almost cartoonishly being reminded about what happened before you knocked out
You thought it was all just a silly dream but the purple haired man in front of you who had ๐๐ญ๐ด๐ฐ just woken up yawned snuggling further into you as if he still were a cat ๐๐ฆ๐ญ๐ญ- his ears and ๐๐ข๐ช๐ญ did somewhat at least prove that theory but his human-ness was nerve wracking

You asked pouring some tea into his and your cup with a furrowed brow

โFine fine if I ๐๐บ๐ข-ust!~ your grandma saved me when I was in dire need of care and I guess Iโve just lived here ever since I was littleโ
He clarified while you nodded

Putting your thumb and index finger on your chin you started to understand
chenya was very ambiguous with his explanation but you didnโt want to pry incase it was a particularly touchy subject

Taking a sip of your tea you waited for an answer
Yes maybe it was a silly question but you were curious!!

Chenya bit into his cupcake while his tail turning into a question mark shape indicating content-ness

Chenya gave you a toothy mischievous grin
โWell I was planning on holding out for quite some time because your shocked expression wouldโve been too great to ๐๐บ๐ข๐ต see!! I honestly shouldโve grabbed your ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ-laroid to capture it in all its glory!โ
โWait what!? God for someone who was just napping on me so snuggly a bit ago I wouldnโt have expected you to be so cruel.. this isnโt how you treat someone who feeds you dailyโ
You pouted while he giggled putting his half eaten cupcake down
โIโm a complicated man I suppose~โ
Sighing you rubbed your temples to calm your growing headache but then you realised something
โOh I suppose I never thanked you for saving me in the garden earlier..โ
You said as you used your index finger to trace the rim of your porcelain tea cup
โYes well more cupcakes later tonight could be com-๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ-nsation for my heroismโ
His words made you giggle forgetting your previous grumpy mood
he still ๐๐ด the same old chenya huh? You nod at his conditions despite him looking different and being able to speak now nothing much had changed strangely enough you felt safe around him

You said before standing up he observed you with a raised brow
โI never got any of the things I needed in the garden..thanks chenya Iโll see you laterโ
Chenya nodded finishing his cupcake as he waved at you

He yelled out to you
you opened the door and walked out yelling back a quick

Breathing in the fresh air you gazed up at the sky as a group of crows flew by
