Chapter Text
Eyes shut. Every single thought he still spend on the fight with his wife, the shouting and the broken glass on the table.
Due to the sun hitting his eyelids, his train of thought was interruptet, he got thrown back into reality. Christian was sure he closed the curtains last night. Actually hasn’t opened them for a very long time.
As he fluttered his eyes open, he tried to run his hand across his face, but only felt feathers. Now fully awake, he abruptly tried to get up, suddenly fell about 20 meters and landed in a puddle.
He liftet his face up and stared into the eyes of an enourmous dove. It didn‘t move and Christian wanted to step back from it, but it looked like it had different plans. The dove followed every move the actor did.
The realization struck him like a thunderbolt. The eyes that were staring back at him, were his own.
Right in that moment, he heard a bird behind him. ”Well well a dove on my grounds?“ the bird, seemingly an eagle, said. Christian had no time to think about how he just heard a BIRD talking, just recognized the tone he knew all too well from 8 years of bullying.
The dove knew he was in trouble. Another two eagles landet left and right. " I‘m sorry I didn‘t know I couldn‘t be here, I‘ll better leave“ Borle said while his voice was shaking.
"But why, you just arrived and this will be the perfect oppertunity, to show you why this is my ground“ The big eagle chuckled.
The three eagles came towards Christian and he thought about running and then about, how he would even do that as a bird. For the second time of the day, his train of thoughts was interrupted, by four other birds landing behind the big eagle.
“Give it up Lautner, you are outbired “ a crow with a few grey feathers said in a calm tone. Another crow, a parrot and an owl accompanied him. Somehow he recognized the owl, but didn‘t know how.
The big eagle looked at the just appeared set of birds and then at himself and the the other eagles. “Don‘t think this is over“ he said looking Christian deeply in the eyes, before he liftet surprisingly elegant off the ground.
Shocked about everything that just happened, Borle turned to look at the remaining birds. The half grey crow asked: “You look very lost, especially here, we have to get you out of here. Can you fly, or are you hurt?“ Christian thought for a moment, then decidet to explain his human to bird transformation later and just said: “Can‘t fly, my left wing is hurt“ ”Alright, guys take him by the claws“
So they did and since they didn‘t talk during the flight, Christian had time to think.
Why am I a bird? How did I get here? Am I dreaming? Will I get back? Does my wife know about this? Am I dreaming?
