    “Bobby.” Buck breathed, hardly a whisper. Bobby pointed to the chair beside him, just as he had on Buck’s first day at the 118. The chair didn't make a sound as Buck pulled it out from the table. He sat, avoiding Bobby’s gaze.

    “Where…” His voice faded out, the question dying on his lips.

    “Don't worry about that right now,” Bobby said, pulling Buck’s gaze up to his. “What happened?”
