Percy knew, walking into the gala, that it was going to be a long night.
Alex ran off pretty quickly, going off to the side of the gala, out of the way and near a snack table.
Percy just shook his head, letting out a quiet huff as he held on to Jason.
Even when he was part of the godly royal family of Atlantis, he refused to go to any sort of gala, knowing it would only take one person saying the wrong thing, whether it be from him being a demigod or whatever, to punch them and get in trouble with his father, so he just stayed out of it.
But here he was now, he and Jason being the entire reason for this gala in the first place.
He just kept himself close to Jason, whilst he kept an eye on Alex, making sure they were alright.
At one point, an older couple walked up to them and started talking with Jason, but Percy wasn’t really paying attention.
He looked away from Alex and back towards the couple, smiling politely, and when he looked back at Alex, he noticed Cass with them.
Cass signed something quickly, along the lines of sneaking out and hiding.
Alex agreed, and the two of them ran away, definitely to a quieter room.
Percy just huffed out a quiet laugh, turning back to Jason, resting his chin on Jason’s shoulder.
Jason turned to look at him, a small smile on his face as he pressed a light kiss on his cheek.
Percy gave him a small back, putting more of his weight on his boyfriend.
