Summary
Twenty-three years ago, Avdol, Kakyoin, and their loyal comrade Iggy witnessed the deaths of Jotaro, Joseph, and Polnareff at the hands of DIO. Their only saving grace were the injuries the vampire sustained from Jotaro in his last moments, causing the demon to retreat to safety, sparing the three survivors. They lived yet lost. There were now no Joestars left alive and DIO had managed to slip away from their grasp, still breathing. Left to grieve and recover, they were afraid of what was to come.
As years passed, Avdol and Kakyoin have spent all their time since that fateful night planning on how they could finally vanquish that persisting evil, growing stronger by the day. It seemed impossible at first, with their team cleaved apart by death and distance, before Avdol acquired the aid of two unlikely allies: sons of DIO to act as spies and guides during the eventual attack. The men are adamant in their want to help but only in exchange for their safety in the end. Kakyoin is unconvinced of their offer, believing them to be deceivers, leading Avdol and him straight into the demon’s grasp.
Their lives and hopes all change, one day, at the appearance of a surviving Joestar, bearing the birthmark and a healing stand.
