When Jaden Yuki was born, he had some memories of his past life, not much. From his first life as Haou, he could only remember some moments with Yubel. From his second life in another world, he only remembered dueling and a few moments from the Yu-Gi-Oh anime. However, he couldn’t make sense of it with his infantile mind very well.
As he was an infant, he may have understood dueling a bit better,but he still had to learn to crawl, speak, eat, and use his diaper.
When he was three and could better process the flashbacks, he realized he was in the GX anime.
When he was four, he got a new neighbor named Tori Meadows, who he recognized as a younger version of the female lead from Zexal. That made him realize that there were some differences from the anime.
When he was five, he got into dueling. He always beat Tori and even some older kids. His parents soon got him the card, Yubel.
He heard the card’s spirit calling to him and spoke back to it. He basically reprimanded her to make sure she wouldn’t harm anyone like in the anime.
The moment he set her down, DING!
