Little Bunny, Boo - FNaF: SB Fanfic [+12]

Summary:

The year had just begun and soon there would be the reopening of Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. What nobody knew was that, along with the new attractions, a great mystery would also come to light. Glamrock Bonnie leaves the scene, and now the group of animatronics lives with the question: who was there first?

Notes:

Before we actually get into this narrative, I'd just like to give a few words:
This story was originally written in Portuguese (since it is my mother language) a good while ago, back when I was 13, so this is merely a translation that was originally posted on Wattpad and is now also being published here. If you think some parts of the story are badly written, you're definitely right, but that's because LBB (the acronym for Little Bunny, Boo) is somewhat old, not in my first language and I just didn't have the patience to rewrite it a third time. This is also mostly a test so I can get use to AO3 (please comment tips!), since I have never used it before.
Overall, I'm satisfied with how this narrative turned out, if not then I wouldn't even be sharing it to the English-speaking community of both FNaF and fanfiction as a whole, but I still thought it was worth to make this author's note at the beginning.
I appreciate the attention, now you may proceed.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

It was finally the reopening of the Mega Pizzaplex. Everything was almost ready, so employees were fixing the last details while the robots were preparing themselves on the backstage.
Nothing could go wrong, they needed to have a better opening than any other year.

  – First day... are you nervous? – Bonnie asked while approaching Montgomery Gator, one of the original robots from the place.
  – Me? Nervous? Not even in my wildest dreams – the alligator let out a laugh, already finishing tuning a guitar. – It's not like I'm going to be up there, anyway.
  – Really? I'm nervous.
  – Without reason. Everyone is going to be looking at the teddy bear over there – he laughed one more time. – And... done! Could you call Chica for me?

The bunny nodded, not taking too long for him to speak to Chica and for her to go to the other robot.

  – Hey, Monty! Did you finish tuning my guitar?
  – You tell me – he said as he handed the instrument to the chicken, suggesting that she played a little.

She smirked and grabbed her guitar, playing a short snippet of the place's theme song. When finished, she gave little hops of joy and approached Monty, hugging him.

  – Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  – No problem.

Soon it was time to go on stage, so Freddy, Chica, Foxy and Bonnie went to their positions and started the show.
Monty remained sitting in the same place, on the backstage, close to the entrance to the actual stage. He crossed his arms and let out what seemed to be a sigh, even though it was impossible due to the fact that he was a robot. Anyone who saw his face could tell that he was crestfallen, it was obvious.

  – You want to be up there with them, don't you? – someone coming up from behind Monty asked him, also resting a hand on the alligator's shoulder.
  – Yeah... i just don't understand the reason why we are both here if we're never going to be part of the show.
  – We're substitutes, remember? Our job is to not do anything until something wrong goes on with one of them.
  – Still, it's stupid! They didn't need to turn us on now! I would much rather stay turned off until I'm useful than stay here, watching a show from a band I'll never actually be a part of – soon the sadness in his eyes turned to anger. – Doesn't it bother you at all, Roxy? Never being the star?

Silence took over the two, only being possible to hear the sound of the music played by the main band. Monty knew how to get to Roxanne, he knew the key word: star.

  – ...My opinion is not relevant, Monty. It's not us being bothered that is going to change how things work around here – the wolf then grabbed her friend's chin and turned his face towards her. – Either you control your little fit of rage, or you will end up doing something bad and being thrown away.

  – Hey, Foxy, Bonnie! – Freddy called, running so he could caught up to his two friends. He put the arms around each one's neck when he was close enough to them and started talking again. – You guys rocked today's show!
  – You were a thousand times better, Fred – Foxy said, letting a gentle smirk escape. – And it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks that – he added, pointing with his face at a huge group of fans looking to talk to the bear.
  – I should go, shouldn't I? – he asked, then quickly said goodbye to his friends and moved away from them.

The fox and the rabbit continued walking around the Pizzaplex.

  – Now it's just the two of us, hm? – said Bonnie.
  – Yes. It's so boring, I can't think of many things to do only with us two.
  – So let's just continue walking until something interesting to do shows up.
  – Yeah, sure.

Just over half an hour passed and the pair remained without any type of entertainment. The flow of customers only seemed to increase, which meant less free time for Freddy to spend with Bonnie and Foxy.
After a few more short minutes, they entered the Gator Golf, a place not that much frequented by humans.

  – What if we play a little bit of mini golf? – suggested the rabbit.
  – Alright.

So the pair continued walking, now towards the first hole.
Soon Bonnie heard a rustle, that turned into a buzzing, that turned into a voice. He was extremely confused, which only encouraged him more to pursue that voice.
Foxy saw the rabbit walk away and was surprised by the other's behavior. He decided to follow him, because maybe then he could find out what was going on inside Bonnie's head.

  – Hey, Bon? Where are you going, dude?
  – Shh! I'm hearing something.

A faint whisper carried Bonnie's words while the same animatronic didn't even turn his face. He was clearly focused, nothing could stop him from searching for that voice.
Almost at the same moment, he saw something in the distance. It was a person, he couldn't say who. All he could see were golden strands of hair, reflecting the ambient light, and a mask of unusual shape.
Bonnie hid. Foxy followed right behind him.

  – Aren't you hearing that?
  – No... It's too far away.
  – Don't worry, Foxy. I'll tell you the important points.
  – I think we should leave. That doesn't seem very ethical to me.
  – Since when do you care about what is ethical?
  – Since you started not caring and acting weird like that.
  – Okay, okay. Just be quiet before that person sees us.

And then the surroundings were filled with cold silence. Bonnie continued to have his ears pricked up while Foxy was just waiting for an explanation.

  – It's something about bringing someone back... Seems like no one can know about it...
  – What?! – even though they were both talking in whispers, the fox still managed to express his indignation and confusion.
  – I don't know, I don't quite understand! I lack the context!
  – If you had ignored this, you wouldn't be so confused now.
  – It's my fault if there's a super suspicious person talking about something that no one can know about?! It's obvious that I would get curious!

Foxy didn't respond, preferring to cut off the discussion there. So, Bonnie could finally turn his attention to the strange person.
It was when he turned his face that he noticed an immense void in front of him. Before he could even reason that the person left, he heard a whisper.

  – I see you... – the voice said, without seeming to come from a specific direction.

Footsteps seemed to come from all sides, which made the duo increasingly scared. Not knowing what to do, the two ran, knowing only that they needed to escape from Gator Golf.
