Work Text:
Wandering the streets of Berk, you would've thought one of the gods revealed themselves, or a war was just won after decades of bloodshed. Whatever it was, it was time to celebrate.
The closer you got to the village square, the more you overheard about just how impossible the event was. Surely it must've been a god or something incredibly powerful in the village bringing some sort of blessing to the Berkians. They were never the type of people to celebrate unless it was something big.
People were dancing, they were cheering and feasting. Children were racing and playing, adults drinking and laughing. Some had offered you a drink or two, or some food as you walked past, though you politely declined.
Deciding to finally try and figure out what the Hel all the commotion was about, you asked what everyone was celebrating for.
"You haven't heard? The most incredible thing has happened!" The viking cheered as they shoved a cup into your hands and walked off into the crowd.
So much for a solid answer.
The crowd gathering around the town square cheered. When the noise died down for a moment, you finally overheard what had happened.
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third had a full night of sleep.
