Shane blushed again. He ruffled Eva’s hair to stall for time, then finally worked up the nerve to try and explain himself.
“Honestly, I’m not sure. I’ll tell him someday, but I’ve done this with every bouquet he’s ever given me. So I guess I want to wait for a special day to show him.” He paused, then, “Maybe a big anniversary, or when we turn 50 or something.” Eva’s eyes lit up again.
“You’ve pressed all of them? That’s SO romantic Dad, ohmygosh.”
