Summary
One of the things Zanka heard from a young age in his family was how noble and rigorous they were, coming from a long line of alphas. For generations, the Nijiku had ruled the ground with strength and discipline.
As a child, Zanka observed his brothers always walking around with bruises on their faces and bodies, with weapons and books under their arms. However, more than that, he noticed their gaze and behavior, their strong pheromones and an intimidating presence, which even made older alphas respect them.Zanka dreamed of being like his family, since he was also a Nijiku. It was his duty that, when he grew older, he would present himself as an alpha and be a great hell guard, sitting in the end in the "golden throne," thus carrying his family's legacy with him.
However, that dream was shattered. People with a secondary gender usually only manifested their pheromones at 15 or 16 years old, but for Zanka, this happened a few months after he entered the academy at age 13. After a whole week of sleepless nights and the extreme strain on his body from training, the brown-haired boy collapsed with a very high fever and body aches and was taken home to rest.
