Chapter Text
Spring had come and the human kingdoms and the magical lands of Xadia were looking forward to the Feast of Rebirth. At Everkind, Rayla and Callum's five children (twins Liam and Tiadrin and triplets Dameon, Sarai, and Harrow) were excitedly waiting for some special guests to arrive.
"Do you see them yet?" Liam asked.
"I think so," his twin sister Tiadrin said.
Her brother looked. A figure was coming into view. But, whoever it was, was still too far away to make out.
“Uncle Soren!” the twins said excitedly when he came into view.
“Lian! Tiadrin!” he said. “How are my little soldiers?”
“We’ve been practicing what you showed us,” Lian said proudly.
“That’s good. You’ll have to show me while I’m here.”
Every time Sorren and Ezran visited the family or the family visited Ezran, Sorren taught the twins basic swordplay. At such a young age, they were coming along nicely, most likely due to their mother’s skills as a warrior. Not that they hadn’t inherited skills from their father. They were both amazing artists and were at the same level of magic Claudia had been at when she was twice their age. Thinking about his sister always made Sorren a little sad. He hadn’t seen her since the battle against Aaravose but he had found a new family with Callum, Rayla, Ezran, and the children. The children called him "uncle" and Zym saw him as a brother like he did Callum and Ezran.
"Where are your parents?" he asked, scooping Tiadrin up.
“Inside,” Tiadrin said.
“We’ll take you to them,” Lian said taking hold of Soren’s free hand.

"Any news on King Harrow?" Callum asked as the adults sat down to talk.
"Nothing yet. You'll be ready when Ezran gets word from Corvus & Pryarah?" Soren said.
Callum nodded. He had all the ingredients for the spell tucked away in his workshop and the last quazar diamond was safely under lock and key. Everything would be ready when Corvus and Pryarah returned.
"How are things at the palace?" Rayla asked.
"It's fine. The construction should be done in time for the Spring Rebirth Festival. Ezran plans to hold a celebration. And he was wondering if you and the kids would be able to come."
Callum and Rayla normally traveled to the Silvergrove for the holidays; especially after the children were born. With the castle being rebuilt, it was safer.
"We'd love to come," Rayla said.
