Hunter, Echo, Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair loved their lives on Pabu. They had lived all over the place but Pabu had become their home and it was a nice change of pace from all the bases. But, no matter where they were, one thing always made it home: their mom Omega.

"Look what I found," Hunter said holding out a small, green stone.
His brothers crowed around him. They were on the beach looking for any interesting stones and shells that had washed up during last night's storm.
"It looks like the Heart of Te Fiti," Echo said.
Hunter handed it to Tech.
"You take it," he said.
"You found it," Tech said.
"But Moana is your favorite movie. Mine is Raya and the Last Dragon."
While all five brothers were born at around the same time, Hunter had been the first one Omega had adopted so he took on the role of big brother.
"Okay," Tech said taking the stone. "But, if I find one that looks like Sisi's gem, it's yours."
"It's a deal."
The boys went back to searching the beach.
"Look what I found," Echo said holding out a heart shaped seashell.
"Mom would love that," Crosshair said.
"Let's see if we can find some more," Wrecker said.
After an hour of searching, they managed to fill one of their spare buckets halfway with shells, rocks, and driftwood shaped like hearts. Batcher sniffed about on the beach keeping a close eye on the boys. She always watched them when they went down to the beach. All five boys were good swimmers, particularly Tech being from an amphibious race, but sometimes the current was a little strong after a storm.
"We should probably head up to the house," Hunter said. "Mom will have lunch ready."
Not wanting to argue with their older brother, the others agreed. Gathering up their things, they headed up the path to their house.
"There you are," Omega said as the boys and Batcher came up to the gate. "Find anything interesting on the beach?"
"Look what Hunter gave me," Tech said showing their mom the green stone.
"That was very nice of him. Now, let's eat. Lunch is ready."
The boys trooped inside the house being sure to take their muddy boots off before going in. Batcher just went in tracking muddy pawprints everywhere.
"Batcher," Omega said following the lurac hound, "I just cleaned the house."
Mud and wet sand from the beach were all over the living room including the rug and couch.
"Batcher, outside now," Omega said taking hold of the lurac hound's collar.
Batcher whined. She hated getting in trouble.
"Sorry, Mom," Echo said. "We should have rinsed Batcher off."
"We'll clean it up," Hunter said.
“Let’s have lunch first,” Omega said.
The boys didn’t argue and, after eating, helped clean up the kitchen and after Batcher. Omega smiled. They were good boys. At least when they wanted to be which was most of the time. After helping, the boys went outside to rinse off their newfound treasures. They always did this outside to keep the mud and sand out of the house as well as any crabs that were in the shells. They didn’t want a repeat of the time a crab had hitched a ride in Crosshair’s bucket. It took hours of tearing the house apart before they found it and then they were up half the night getting things back in order. Once their treasures were clean and dry, they would put them in their rooms. Omega brought each of them a bowl of warm, soapy water and another of clear water.
The boys began cleaning their treasures and putting them in containers so they could be brought into the house.

"Do you think Mom will like it?" Wrecker asked as he and his brothers arranged the breakfast they had made for Omega on the tray.
They had wanted to make pancakes and bacon like Omega always did on Sunday, but they weren't allowed to use the stove without adult supervision. So they had settled for fruit and cold cereal.
"She'll love it," Echo said.
"Is that everything?" Hunter asked, ever the big brother.
"Here's the caf," Tech said, placing the mug on the tray.
"And I got the present," Crosshair said, holding up the bucket.
"Then let's go."
Hunter picked up the tray and the brothers made their way down the hall to Omega's room. Wrecker opened the door and Tech and Echo ran in to wake their mom up.
"What's going on?" Omega asked, waking up groggy.
"We have a surprise for you," Tech said.
"What's all this?"
"We made you breakfast," Hunter said, setting the tray on the bedside table.
"And we have this for you," Crosshair said, bringing the bucket over
Omega smiled at the rocks, driftwood, and seashells shaped like hearts.
"I love them. Thank you so much," she said, hugging all five of her sons at once.
"Happy Mother's Day," the boys said together.
