[The Perspective of The Great Performer]
I have just been dragged out of the Grove by none other than that energetic student of mine Phainon, honestly sometimes you wonder how he always seem so energetic? I even tried asking him where is he taking me but he insists on being secretive tsk childish...I almost tripped on my robes when i tried yanking my wrists away to be honest the man has the grip of a bear sometimes. "We're almost there, Professor!!" I snorted at him he kept saying the same thing for the past five minutes "yeah...sure" i said in quiet skeptical voice and almost rolled my eyes at the other's bright giggling.
When we finally reached, I mentally made note of the amount of people present although i could tell some of my fellow Chrysos Heirs noticed my gaze on them by either returning it with a nod or a glare like a certain lady i knew...
"Alright! since we are all ready let me explain whats going on" Phainon spoke up loudly, he had that usual bright and soft aura of his with the hint determination you would find in a leader at the same time. "Basically our friends from the Astral Express had shared with me some important information that their friend Mr Yang if i remember correctly had informed them, It would seem that there are some strange toxic crystals around this Area especially while they're not that harmful as the black tide its still cause some level of concern since they did unknowingly appeared and has caused some strange cases of illness to those who came in contact with it without any appropriate precautions" he ended his speech by crossing his arms as whispers started to murmur.
"I have a question..do we know just how many of those crystals are there specifically or?" Castorice voice rang up- wait Castorice? even she was dragged into this? my train of questions was interrupted by March's loud voice "Well according to Mr Yang, there should be thirty crystals scattered in ten different locations! he also said that each location holds three crystal each!" near her Dan Heng i think spoke up calmly a finger under his chin "We could split into pairs of two since we are ten people, each pair finds their three crystals and we could meet up back here?" his suggestion was actually quite logical i thought and nodded to myself "I agree with his plan but may we acquire the nature of the cases the victims fell into?" Aglaea spoke up in her sickeningly sweet voice and infuriating smile, but it was enough to soften my idiotic student as perked up "A.ah yes of course!" he smiled briefly before turning his gaze to Dan Heng who sighed before answering "We visited the patients, apparently nothing is working to slow or stop the spreading and some doctors reported that those who got infected are slowly losing their sanity which caused the doctors to lock them up to avoid anyone getting hurt"
"So from what i understand we should get in pairs and search for the crystals like we search for Easter Eggs right?" Hyacine cheerful soft voice cut through the tension, her bright smile is enough to lighten the mood, a slight smile crawled upon my face at her understanding but it was quickly gone as it appeared. "Alright then! I will go with Mydei, you guys choose your partner and then we shall set out" Phainon said as he grabbed Mydeimos's wrist and dragged him away and everyone spread out seeking their pair.
I stood there silently just waiting for the person that would be stuck with me i saw as March went with Dan Heng, Castorice surprisingly chose Stella and Cipher went Hyacine so that leaves me with...AGLAEA!? a scowl made its way around my face as she approached me with that smug smirk of hers "Ah it seems fate played a cruel joke on you, my dear Anaxagores~" she said slyly almost purring the words out, "It seems so, i would say your so called 'Aeons' are punishing me by pairing me with you, Aglaea" i snarled back at her as she came to stand near me, i closed my eyes and sighed wearily "However, as much as its pains me to work with you, i do hope you put our differences aside and get done with this as soon as possible without any trouble" I continued with seriousness as i opened my eyes to see her sly smile "of course, Professor~" she crossed her arms "Our differences shouldn't effect our work after all". I studied er for a moment testing her sincereness before nodding in approval of her words
"Then we shall get going..."
[The Wind's Perspective]
The sound of leaves getting crushed was the only sound heard between them, the wind engulfed them harshly as they finally reached the area. The area was spacious, almost too spacious to search for a tiny unknown crystals moreover the destroyed buildings and machinery made it look almost impossible. The silence stretched long between the two before the curious voice of Anaxa was heard, "Hm..interesting, it seems this area was freshly destroyed?" his fingers carefully scratched the clean bright edges of the rocks "if the area was destroyed long ago these rocks would have been dulled by natural humidity or oxidation" He said quietly before raising his eyes to look at her "any clues?", Aglaea seemed to be deep in thoughts before assessing the place once more "this place...it seems to be a mining storage area right?" she said her gentle fingers caressing the broken machinery as Anaxa nodded to her before straightening up and standing.
"The lack of dullness in the rocks and the still shiny metals would indicate that it was destroyed not long ago however as to how its unknown, but by the looks of it, explosion might be our closest guess" he said with the curiosity you would expect of a scholar. "do you think it might have been the crystal, Anaxa~?" Aglaea said softly with a hint of playfulness, the nickname as usual caused the professor to frown and glare at her "I already said to not call me 'Anaxa', It's 'A-NAK-SA-GO-RAS'. Anaxagoras! Is it that hard to remember?" he huffed and for a moment Aglaea couldn't help but scoff at how childish he sounded, he looked like petulant child who got grounded in her eyes that gleamed with amusement.
Although after he finally gained his composure back he sighed in resignation before speaking in an annoyed tone "While your suggestion make sense it would also mean that the crystal might be radioactive in nature perhaps that's what causing the patients illnesses but it wouldn't explain how they're losing their or how-" he went into a scientific rambling that made Aglaea internally roll her eyes how very Anaxa is that..."Professor, I believe we are getting a bit out of topic, our main concern currently is finding those three crystals, leave the ramblings for later" which caused Anaxa to pause before shooting her a look "its called Observations not ramblings" he walked further towards the buildings "lets go then..."
