Chapter Text
Silent ambience. Nothing but a breeze that comes from nowhere. The light sand on the ground contrasting with the void sky, huge mirrors surrounding Morgan as it reflected different versions of himself. Shadows circled around the kneeling body of the Titan, whispering specters he fights for tormenting his very essence, claiming their most primordial wish of vengeance for everything they had to suffer. Whispers became deafening, like nothing he's done and will do would ever satisfy the grudge of the fallen.
Morgan stared down, looking away from everything he once was, shame coursing through every part of his brain, fingers gripping tightly on the fabric of his pants as he closed his vision, all of it.
Quiet. All of the whispers vanished. He felt the warmth of the Sun on his skin as he heard chirping noises and leaves flowing with the breeze, it wasn't the same dark place as before, it was obvious, but where was it?
The Titan slowly opened his eye, adjusting it to the unusual lighting of the flowered garden. Feeling the grass under him, an unnerving sense of serenity. Morgan's sight gazed upon the horizon, just to see a familiar yet blurry presence, a tall figure roaming peacefully across the flowers, wind revealing a long cape that covered most of its frame.
His body reacted first, getting up and running like he'd die if he stopped, didn't matter if he fell, he could get up, no physical pain was enough, panting through the weighting sensation on his chest. Yet, it wasn't enough.
Something tangling wrapped around the reign's arms, coursing throughout his body and dragging him closer, whispering behind Morgan, too many voices at once, growing louder and louder. His heart raced, wanting to shout, someone to help him. Nothing.
-Running away like this is nothing, what a pathetic excuse of a guardian. Have you forgotten already what you must do? Cowering in fear of what you cannot comprehend? Hypocrite. Empty words just like the other "gods". — Distorted voices of multiple speakers, but a feminine voice standing out, blurred within his memory.
-Let me go... please... — Morgan could only sob, the wrapping hurt like it bruised every part of him as he forced forwards, trying to get out. — I can't...
-People had it worse. — Interrupting the weak voice. — Selfish. Expecting things like they come priceless.
-Stop it... stop...
-Can't even find yourself and tell us you'll guide us. You are lost. You are nothing. — The sounds slowly took a different form. It hurt to listen the fading voice of Noxus and Stella. — Can't keep promises and still yearn for what you were never supposed to have.
-No... please... I'm sorry... — Morgan gradually stopped moving as he paralyzed in place, shivering, tearing up bit by bit. Hand trying to reach the distant light he once knew.
