Work Text:

On the weekends they didn't have shows, Patricia usually slept in till the afternoon. But right now, she was up at 2:34, trying to wake up Petra as well.

She's been wanting to go and play at a park for quite some time now, but never asked Petra because she knew there would likely be quite a few children, along with their parents, who would probably judge Patricia for being 19 and hogging the swings and slides. But now that it was so late, it would just be her and Petra.

Petra was a very deep sleeper, and unless their little tour bus or their motel room was on fire, she'd sleep through just about anything. Patricia shook her and (very lightly) hit her, and only after 10 minutes did she wake up.

"Jesus, what the fuck are you doing, Trish? Let me sleep."

Patricia let out a frustrated whine and lightly hit her again. She didn't wanna use her words.

Petra couldn't tell whether she was regressed or not, but still treated her like she was when she responded, just in case. She enjoyed babying the girl either way, so it didn't really matter.

"What is it, precious? Can you try and use your words?"

Patricia whined again. She didn't want to at all, but if she didn't, Petra wouldn't know, and then she wouldn't get this chance for another month. "Park."

"Park? I think there's one a few blocks from here. Do you wanna go later today? We can go ahead and go once Jo and-"

Patricia quickly cut her off. "Now!" she said. "Now! Now!"

"Now?" Petra asked, puzzled. It was far too early for that. "You need sleep baby. It's nearly 3 AM."

"But I wanna now! There won't be anyone to bother me! I wanna now, Momma!"

"Alright, honey. Get your shoes on, and anything else you want."

It took a bit, but she pulled Patricia up off her lap and sent her off to get ready, while she got ready herself. She really wanted to try and work on the way Patricia spoke when she was little, she was fussy often and that made her a bit demanding. But she didn't know how to approach the topic without making her baby cry and worry that she had upset Petra, so she'd figure it out another day.

Patricia came running back to their shared bed, tugging on the sleeve of Petra's pajama shirt, trying to pull her toward the door.

"Give me a second, kiddo, jeez." She grabbed her own jacket and got Patricia's hoodie from where it laid on the floor (they really should clean more) to put it on her. Petra also grabbed Patricia's pacifier in case she needed it, and led her out of their motel room.

"Make sure you're holding onto my hand, baby, it's rather late out. I don't want you getting hurt.

They made it to the park in around seven minutes later and Patricia immediately started tugging Petra toward the swings. Petra let her drag her all the way and picked her up to sit her down on the swings. She backed away to let Patricia play for a bit, but the younger girl whined when she did and stomped her foot into the wood chips.

"What's wrong baby?"

"Push!"

Petra walked behind the girl to lightly push her on the swing.

"Thank you for using your words precious, but I want you to try and ask a bit more politely next time. Can you do that for Momma, baby?"

Patricia groaned, then whispered, "Fine," to which Petra gave her a small kiss on her forehead.

They had played around for maybe 20 minutes, mostly on the swings. Patricia had tired herself out, so Petra led her to one of the park benches while she checked out her phone.

Andy had texted her, asking to stop by Walmart since they had left. Fuck her life, of course Andy knew they left. She was the complete opposite of Petra, you could drop a paperclip and she would hear it and wake up. She groaned, knowing that she probably should stop by anyway. They needed some food for the weekend, something they can actually cook, not just McDonald's and other shitty fast food.

"We're gonna stop by Walmart real quick baby, okay? It'll be quick, it's literally down the street. I can see it from here."

Patricia didn't respond but let Petra pick her up off the bench, so she assumed she was alright with it. She took her hand to lead her from the park and to the store.

There wasn't anyone there except for two cashiers, God bless. Petra much rather perfered going at night usually, but she was really tuckered out after the week. She really wanted to sleep. She planned to get some snacks, fruit, things they could make food with, and get out to go back to sleep till the afternoon.

Patricia whined about how sweaty Petra's hand was, so she let her hold onto the cart instead. While she was looking at the bananas, trying to find the ripest bunch so they could eat it soon, she noticed Patricia had wandered off. It shouldn't be too hard to find her, she was probably near the toys or whatever. She was still worried though.

Petra decided to circle back to the fruit later, and made her way toward the toys. Patricia was in the aisle with all of the dolls and shit, but she wasn't looking at those. She was looking at this teeny tiny little display of stuffed farm animals, more specially the little sheep.

"Come on, kiddo. We gotta get going, okay?"

Petra had gently pulled Patricia away from the display, but noticed that she had put something in the cart.

It was that damn sheep.

"No, baby. Go put that back. We're just here for food."

Patricia shook her head, adamant about this little sheep.

Petra sighed. Patricia didn't have much to help her in her headspace besides her pacifier and her one sippy, and Petra wished that she could get her so much more. They didn't necessarily have much money, and the money they did had went to their food, motel rooms, and sometimes their instruments. Whatever, Petra thought. 5 bucks isn't that much. The other two wouldn't notice.

"Alright, precious. Come on, we gotta get the rest of our food."

Patricia beamed and squealed, giggling when Petra gave her a small kiss.

They had made it home a bit later. Petra put their groceries in the kitchen before joining where Patricia was on their bed. She had her pacifier in, and she was holding her little stuffed sheep tight.

"You like that thing a lot, dont you Trish?" Petra whispered, not wanting to wake Jo and Andy.

Patricia nodded. "Franklin."

"Franklin?"

Patricia pointed to the sheep.

Petra giggled, "Hi Franklin."

"He's sleepy," Patricia murmured around her pacifier.

"Really? I think Franklin should go to sleep then. Same with you, kiddo." Patricia let out a loud whine at that.

"Mhm, we can do whatever you want today once Jo and Andi go out. Does that sound good baby?"

She thought for a moment, then nodded. Petra pulled the blanket over the two and pulled her close to her chest.

"Goodnight, Trish. I love you baby."

Patricia murmured something Petra didn't hear, then soon fell asleep. Petra fell asleep herself a bit after, kissing her goodnight before doing so.
