Chapter Text
The rain drops pebble across the concrete sidewalk outside the elite hero school known as UA. Inside lurked the principal who sat by his desk looking over a file. The storm brewing outside only grew as the rat continued reading the pages scattered on his desk.
The first page you see once opening the file, is the faces of two teenagers. One has bandages shielding his body with dark brown hair and eyes that looked as if they could read right into your soul. The other had striking orange hair pulled in a low pony tail and heterochromia painted irises.
Under the photos of their faces lies their names, "Dazai Osamu" and "Nakahara Chuuya". Their birthplace, along with their birthdays and identification, laid under their names. The gears turn in the rat's brain as he read where their from, "Yokohama"
The city is known for being ruled by villains. It was created as a sanctuary for quirkless individuals who dreamed of a community where they belonged. But soon, abilities started to form, plaguing the streets with destruction. Not many people ever leave Yokohama, and not many people ever enter. It is completely shut off from the rest of the world.
Yet these two teens from the crime filled city claiming to have quirks, want to transfer to his school? The thought almost seemed amusing. The rat decided to entertain their request to join UA. He signed the contract, allowing them to be registered as official students in UA.

“God dammit!!” Chuuya growled at dazai, slamming his fists on the arcade machine causing it to tremble.
“I won fair and square!!” Dazai returned, smirking at his victory. “Now you have to wear that collar I gave you!”
Just when Chuuya was about to snap back Dazai’s phone rang, he reached in his pocket and flipped open his phone to see a call from Mori. He accepted the call and put the phone up to his ear.
“Dazai, could you and Chuuya meet me in my office?” Mori instructed over the phone.
“Finne” Dazai whined back before he hung up the phone.
“Mori wants us in his office.” Dazai shared before snapping his phone shut.
When Mori called you into his office, it was never good news. Many Port Mafia members trembled at the thought.
Everyone knew Mori cared more about his more powerful and higher ranking individuals than the low ranked useless individuals of the port mafia. Similar to a game of chess, which piece do you care about more, a pawn or a bishop? Chuuya Nakahara and Osamu Dazai were examples of this fact. When Mori called the duo into his office, it was almost always for a mission.
Double Black is a duo Mori conducted to be the most feared duo in history. Their reputation is known outside of Yokohama. Mori made sure only limited individuals knew the identities of the infamous duo.

If you were to tell Chuuya a year ago that the Port Mafia boss gave him and Osamu Dazai a mission in Musutafu, he would've laughed in your face.
Yet here he is, in a fancy black limousine with the mackerel, being escorted outside of Yokohama. 15 year old Chuuya would rather live in a shipping container than interact with a Port Mafia member. Yet the blue bracelet lies on Chuuya's wrist as a reminder of his loyalty to the Sheep.
Chuuya smoked a cigarette, staring out the half-open car window lost in his thoughts. A mission outside of Yokohama was laughable. Yokohama is completely blocked off from the world, going past that barrier and into the rest of Japan for a mission sounded insane.
Why did Mori even want them to go to Musutafu anyway? Chuuya looks over at Dazai who most certainly already knows why. Of course he does, he and Mori were like two sides of the same coin. They aren't the same, that's for sure, but the way they think is insanely similar.
—
Dazai saw Chuuya’s face and could already tell what he was thinking. The doggy wore his feelings on his sleeve, it was so easy to read him. Dazai knows Chuuya hates him. But he also knows that Chuuya probably wouldn't have chosen anyone else to go on this mission with. As funny as it sounds, Chuuya trusts him.
"Is Chibi's tiny brain confused?" Dazai teased, "Do you need me to tell you why Mori sent us?"
"Stop calling me that shitty name!!" Chuuya clapped back.
Dazai ignored the Chibi's barking as he went on, "Since your dog brain is too tiny I guess I have to spell it out for you." He let out a dramatic sigh. "The supposed number one hero, All Might and his other hero friends, are constantly guarding the borders and pushing to get into Yokohama. They claim they need to 'save the innocent trapped civilians'"
"Thats such bullshit." The Chibi responded.
"Chibi look!! We passed the borders of Yokohama!!"
"Do you ever shut your mouth?"
