Summary
At first, Steve didn’t even notice. It started with small things. They still hung out a lot, but since Family Video was in the locked-down part of town, they spent their time at the abandoned local radio station. Yes, they were together often, and at first, it didn’t even register that they were never truly alone anymore. Steve’s head was so full of various thoughts that he didn't notice the passenger seat had been empty for a week. He didn't notice that Robin was getting to the station an hour early just to avoid him. They still joked around, but something was missing. That closeness that existed only between the two of them was gone. An unspoken alliance that said: no matter how shitty the situation is, you and I are on the same team.
