He did not know prophecy. No warning had ever come to him.
He did not know he would kill his brother. He did not even know which blow had done it.
He did not know Dyanna was dying until the knowledge could serve no purpose.
He did not know where Aegon was, only that he too was gone into the wide world.
He did not know before; he knew only after. After the blow, after the death, after the leaving.
By the time Maekar knew a thing, it was already gone from him for good.
