Summary
In the aftermath of Victor Gideon and Zeno’s quest to retrieve Elpis, the surviving patients of Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Centre have been administered with weaker, reconstructed doses of the Elpis antiviral, recovered from the wreckage of ARK. These act as medications rather than vaccines, managing their infections rather than fully curing them, being under constant scrutiny by government organisations until the true Elpis Antiviral can be reconstructed.
One such patient, Selena Corey, wishes to escape this world, where she is constantly monitored, injected, and shuffled about between her surveilled apartment and the newly established Wrenwood Rehabilitation Centre. In a deep state of melancholy and frustration, Selena soon finds the genuine connection she desires in a woman she’s already met once before, Grace Ashcroft, who’s been brought in to assist in the rehabilitation of Wrenwoods patients.
In Selena’s eyes the two were meant to fall in love and be together. But Grace, despite her own fascination with Selena, isn’t so sure, especially as ugly truths rear their heads.
