Summary
At 13, Rhaenyra was the happiest girl in the realm. Her parents had announced the end of their trials for a boy & crowned her Heir to the Iron Throne. From that day onwards, Rhaenyra wanted to be Queen more than anything. The Princess worked hard to prove herself worthy to her father, yet at 15, her mother fell pregnant again.
Her world crumbled when the gods showed her a vision of her mother's murder but by their mercy, Rhaenyra helped her mother flee the Keep.
To protect her mother from her obsessive father and to hide the existence of her little brother whom her camp declared stillborn, Rhaenyra made the difficult decision to disinherit herself.
Rhaenyra dropped the throne for freedom and happiness, so she would never face the Doom and gloom of her visions.
A life of of unconventional happiness with her three spouses, building her own legacy, building up her own Islands, and seeing the world is what Rhaenyra chose, all the things she wouldn't be able to do under Viserys's thumb as heir.
