    “I’ve been wondering,” Wumuti said softly, as she crossed her legs gently under the table, “you’ve been coming here a lot lately, and more so than normally. Why is that?”
    “Me?” Rui said, her voice raising slightly in pitch, as the surprise of being called out washed over her, “I just- maybe I like the atmosphere here? Or the drinks?"

    “I know everyone here, and I’m sure I could set you up with someone who’s perfect for whatever you might want-“
    “I would only want you,” Rui blurted out, before she had the time to think, her drunken mind panicking as Wumuti began considering her options here.
    “Rui?” Wumuti asked after a brief pause, the shock evident on her face as she looked at her friend, “Are you- I mean, do you?”

     

    Or, Rui has always been curious about Wumuti's job, about being on the receiving end of what she does. She has, however, also been in love with her for a long time now. One drunken confession is about the change everything.
