   A low laugh sounded behind her and she turned with a start. Eris stood in the dim light.

   “Eris?” She was unable to keep the tremor out of her voice. “What is going on?”

   He huffed a small laugh. “I’m flattered,” he said in a drawling voice that she did not recognize. He stepped forward, and she realized that this was not Eris.
