    “Oho, finally figured it out, huh? God, I should have kno-” Flambae pauses. Looks at Robert. Looks at him properly, looks at Robert’s bewildered expression, the way his eyes flicker from Flambae’s chest and in a moment, as if it’s instinct, a well-worn urge to check, Robert’s eyes flicker down to his own chest and then back up. 

    It takes Flambae a second to gather the words. “Sorry, too?” 
     
    Robert nods once, slowly, as if in a trance. “Yeah. I’m, uh, trans. Also. Assuming that’s what you meant by, uh, clock.” 

     

    or, What do you do when you realize your kinda-coworker kinda-frenemy is also trans? Fuck about it, probably.
