"Carmine, I can't reach you either!"
"You can do it, Florian! I believe in you!"
It started off simple enough. On a walk around Kitakami, a stray breeze had snagged Florian's hat and left it on a tree branch he couldn't quite reach. Fortunately, he was taking a walk with Carmine, who could retrieve the hat without issue. Unfortunately, his girlfriend had only agreed to hand it back after a quick kiss on the cheek. In a lapse of judgement, Florian immediately accepted.
The smug grin she had should've been an indicator to Florian that this wouldn't be so easy. Sure enough, when he leaned in to kiss her, Carmine shifted to stand on the edge of her toes, leaving Florian just a smidge off from reaching her. When he stood on his toes, Carmine shifted her weight to be even more out of reach. Try as he might, the Paldean student simply couldn't reach her height, getting more and more flustered with each failed attempt.
After watching her boyfriend struggle for a while, Carmine giggled and put the hat back on Florian's head before leaning forward to kiss his cheek.
"You're way too much fun to tease," she said.
