Chapter Text
The alarm rang. The device made a loud sound, waking up the sleeping man. He grogily opened his eyes, purple irises looked through half closed eyelids. He looked at the clock, it was 6:30 in the morning. With a yawn he slowly sat up in his room, brown curls of his hair fell over his eyes. His room was small, just a bed next to a wall, with a dresser at its foot. on the right side of the bed was a desk, and a window overlooking the small garden. Small but better than before nothing. He got up and changed from his pajamas into elegant black trousers, and a crisp white shirt. Then he set out to the bathroom, the smell of toast already in the air. Brushed his teeth, washed his face, combed his hair. And just to finish it all up, he put on his bandana. Ying and yang perfectly centered on his forehead just below his hairline.
As he headed to the kitchen, he grabbed one last thing. His name card. He couldn’t forget it, it was his first day after all. First day that he, Wifies, goes to his new job.
The kitchen smelled of eggs and butter. 2 pieces of toast already on the plate. The person making the eggs greeted him with a slight incline of his head as they plated the scrambled eggs and poured him tea.
The face of the cook was almost identical to the one of Wifies. Though the cook looked a bit older. Additionally, his eyes were grey. This was the “original” Wifies, or as they called him now, Evilfies (Ken’s idea). It prevented the inevitable confusion of them both.
Wifies ate silently, some habits never leave. Though the cook seemed to want to attempt to at least make some small talk.
“It’s your big day, huh?”
“Mhm.”
Wifies was not interested in the conversation. It was 6:50 in the god damn morning. He was not in the mood for small talk with him out of all people.
So the rest of breakfast passed in silence.
As the clock hit 7 AM, Wifies was already putting on his shoes to leave. His bus left in 15 minutes. He grabbed his bag and turned to leave.
“Have a nice day.”
Was the last thing Wifies heard before he put his headphones on.
The bus ride took him 15 minutes, then walking to the place another 10. At 7:45 AM, he entered the school. The Unstable Academy (seriously who was in charge of naming this school???). A great highschool where he would start his job as math teacher… at 22 years old
Well, at least Ken and Wato went here.

School mornings were never positive for any student. The feeling of despair from pure educational pressure made everyone tired even after ten hours of sleep. Was Parrot an exception? No. The guy was fed up with how many lessons there were on Thursdays, especially math. He wasn’t hating it, but he was too good at solving equations and was bored with the material their old teacher was giving. But today they had to meet a new one, apparently, younger. Teachers like that usually were better at connecting with highschoolers, the same generation Z created a range from adults to teens and made generational conflicts rarer.
Parrot woke up from a familiar voice screaming at his windows.
“PARROT! WAKE UP, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO MEET YOUR PRINCESS LIKE THAT! YOU’LL ONLY BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!”
Theo was standing in front of his house with a bag of chips in one hand and a coke in another. His attire was unchanging - same T-shirt, same shorts (in any weather), and sunglasses even at night. Parrot looked at the clock on his wall. 7:30 AM. The bus was in 10 minutes, he had to hurry. He opened his window and yelled back at Theo:
“Thanks, but could you please shut up?! My mom is still sleeping!”
The mom in question walked into his room.
“Ha-ha, good morning sweetie. I’m not sleeping, my boss asked me to come to work earlier.” - she looked out the window - “Hi Theo! Come to us for dinner today!”
“Thanks for an invitation, miss!”
Parrot left the room to go to the bathroom. Another day of suffering, huh? He washed his face and brushed his teeth, stormed out of there and grabbed a sandwich and a pre-packed lunchbox from the fridge in the kitchen. Cold, but he won’t be starving for the next 8 hours. He came back to his room, quickly put everything he needed in his backpack, changed and ran out of the house. Fortunately, the bust stop was near. Him and Theo said their goodbyes to Parrot’s mom and sprinted for the bus that was almost leaving.
