   Summary

   Gerard Way wasn't angry about having to register for the draft. He was a healthy twenty one year old man, he knew the military was itching for people like him. 

   What really killed him, though, was that his brother had been registered right after him. Mikey Way was a scrawny, clumsy, baby faced eighteen year old boy. They should have wanted nothing to do with him. But in a war like this, they’d take anyone who could breathe and stand on two feet.

   Gerard Way is drafted into WWII, along with his brother Mikey. While preparing for a risky invasion called "operation doomsday", Gerard battles his blossoming and dangerous feelings for his new buddy Frank, and the worry that his brother is falling a little bit too behind the other soldiers.
