It should've been predictable, easy to see. But sharpness wasn't like most players. Because he somehow fell for a trap that wasn't even for him.
He was falling for about 10 blocks before he hit the ground hard. Hitting his head hard on the wall of the kill chamber of the unfinished trap he had accidentally stumbled upon.
The trap wasn't too far from spawn, just in a random forest. Maybe help will somehow stumble upon him like how to did with the trap that was in construction.
... Yeah, no. He clearly didn't have that kind of luck.
"Fuck." He groaned, his hand reach up to the back of his head, rubbing it to ease the pain. Then he felt a wet, sticky sensation on his gloves.
Pulling them back into his hazy view, he can slightly make out that it was blood.
Great.
He didn't exactly have any healing on him either.
“fucking- stupid trap.” He fixes his position–Instead of sitting awkwardly, he had his legs close to his chest, pondering on what he could do to escape a trap made by his teammate, who just so happened to be the best trapper as well on strength.
Maybe he could try and mine out, it wasn't exactly finished so maybe he could...
He looked at his pickaxe durability in his inventory, 5/2031.
Amazing.
He could pearl out,
But he used them all in a previous battle with _Tai.
Msybe he courld call his tteammtes,
...
They wrrent okmline.
Myabe..
Mjybe je cpiydl...
His sleepiness was fortunately interrupted by the sound of footsteps making it down the ladder to the chamber, and the familiar mocking voice of the creator.
Judelow.
"Oh look what the cat dragged in..." Muttered the trapper, he had just finished gathering his materials to finish up the unfinished trap, but stopped in his tracks when he saw an injured sharpness in the kill chamber.
How did he even manage to get caught in his trap? It wasn't even for him.
"Shut up Jude..."
"Not even a hello? Oh I'm hurt."
...
Upon closer inspection, he noticed a little bit of red mixing in with the soft golden glow in the swordmaster's hair.
Was he bleeding?
Jude put down the pistons and Redstone he was holding and broke open the entrance of the kill chamber, carefully taking the blonde out and setting him down next to the chests.
Being careful enough to watch his head.
"You dumbass, did you not see the hole in the ground? Or were you too busy being all whimsy and shit?"
The other groaned, hearing the trapper's voice felt loud, too loud. Almost ringing in his ear.
"Fuck... Shut up Jude. Youre so loud..." He snapped back, his voice carried a hint of pain from the fall,
It was almost pitiful.
Upon closer inspection, he noticed that the other was pretty low on resources, he wore half a set of his usual red trimmed netherite armour, and he looked pretty badly wounded.
"Fuck dude, you look wrecked."
"I know, I know. Shut up bro."
Well, okay.
"Uhm...I have some health pots, I can probably-"
"I'mm..fine Jude."
The trapper scoffed,
Because he clearly wasn't. Anyone with working eyes could see that the swordmaster was in need of medical attention.
"No you're not. You're in half a set of armour and you're bleeding."
"Jude- genuinely....ssshshut up. Your voice sounds like....10 times louder to me."
Then the realization finally hit Jude. The struggle to stay awake, the slurred speeches, how weak he looked and sounded,
This man was concussed.
"Dude- no. I think you're concussed."
"Am not!" The other tried to raise his hand to hit the trapper, but found himself unable to do so.
His hand felt heavy..
That shouldn't happen.
Judelow rolled his eyes, rummaging through his inventory and finding a health pot or two and some golden apples.
He turned back to the swordmaster, who looked like he was on the verge of passing out.
Jude won't admit this to himself or anyone else, but he was worried about how the blonde looked at the moment.
But maybe that's just his inner thoughts messing with him.
"Sharp, here. Can you eat?" He handed him a golden apple, the soft reflective glow of gold gave the dull and stuffy chamber some color, lighting up the situation they found themselves in.
Sharpness took a while to process what Jude was saying, but once he did, he scoffed.
"Youu..you think I cant eat? Hah..! I'm not..imnot weak."
Jude looked unamused, but sat by the other so it wouldn't be much of a hassle for him to take the apple from his hands.
"Can you?" He repeated.
...
It took a while for the golden apple to be visible into his blurry vision, once it did he tried to pick it up himself, but failed. Letting the apple fall and roll to the other side of the room.
No matter, Jude had more.
"Sharp,"
"Jude."
"... I can help you."
"I don't.. I don't need it. I'm..im fine."
That was a big fat lie.
And the trapper could see that, but will he listen to his teammate? No. Not when he's about to pass out in front of him.
The trapper let our an exasperated sigh, taking the health potions in his hand and looked at Sharpness in the eyes — he looked so out of it.
It almost hurts Jude to see him like this.
He popped open the cap, the sweet smell of strawberry and medicine filled the room. And Sharpness noticed that too, since he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion to the familiar smell. Slowly, he brought the bottle to the other's mouth, his other hand placed beneath the other's chin to prevent any spillage of the potion.
"Sharp please, I don't... I- just drink this. You'll feel better."
...
Sharpness was hesitant, but eventually, he reluctantly allowed the trapper to feed him the potion.
The sweet taste of strawberry flooded his mouth as it slowly took effect.
The trapper let out a soft hum of satisfaction, tossing the bottle aside as he placed a gentle hand behind the swordmaster's head, thankfully enough, the wound began to close, but it was slow. The sticky liquid of blood now dry in the soft blonde hair of his...
...
Of Sharpness.
"See? Was that so hard?" Jude teased, his voice was quieter cause he knew it'd give him a headache for some reason, but Sharpness paid no mind,
It sounded better.
"It was. Why didn't you tell you you'd build something there?" Sharpness turned his head ever so slightly just to glare at him, his emerald green eyes shimmered in the soft light that seeped in from the trap entrance, it was sort of endearing.
The trapper chuckled nervously, "I was going to after I finished collecting the rest of the mats, but you weren't in your usual spots and something felt off." He explained shyly, his ears twitched from his nervousness since he just admitted to paying attention to the blonde's patterns but he hoped he wouldn't notice.
It was Sharpness after all.
"... You noticed that?"
Never mind, he did.
"Noticed what?"
"My... Location patterns..?"
"Nnoooo....pssshhh I dunno what you're talking about bro."
"... Sure. "
...
Sharpness began to feel sleepy once again, but it wasn't because of his injury. He let himself get closer to the trapper sitting next to him, resting his head on the other's shoulder.
"...can I take a nap?"
...
Jude... He let him.
"Sure, princess."
. . .
Parker found the two passed out by the chests a few hours later that day.
