    (These are the original chapter for my main fic Ruptured World ^^The reason I am posting them here is so that I can keep my weakest writing available to see so I can see how much I've changed over time, these chapters were originally written back in August 2025)

     

    There were only a few people in the world, who knew what the Cordyceps brain infection was truly capable of.

    Who knew the truth.

    And Joel was not one of them.

    That night, Joel Miller saved His World by killing the only man who could save The World.

    Now 6 years later, the consequences of his decision are beginning to manifest.

    This story takes place after Abby and Lev escape the Rattlers, arriving on Catalina Island, only to find the FireFly’s missing and clues to a much greater threat.

    This sends them both on a journey across the American wasteland, where Abby must learn to be the person she was always meant to be, and where Lev must come to terms with all that’s happened to him, and find a place where he belongs.
