Work Text:

Morro seals himself in and Lloyd gets forced out.

It was like the haze in your eyes when you open them in the morning, but it never went away. The green would tint his view of the world, limit it. Constrict it into a narrow path surrounded by clouds of green.

Compress it into nothing.

It was truly a terrible feeling. The crawling of your own skin touching something without you directly moving to grab it. A visceral revulsion blooms in you and weeds through your whole being.

Occasionally getting the cloth taken off from over your eyes only to witness horrors.

It wasn't like Morro kept him in the dark about the things that he did either.

He would always say things that it eluded to hurting his friends, or tricking them, or just overall turning each other against each other.

Honestly had Lloyd had control of his body, He would have probably strangled the ghost out of himself, but alas he was unable to.

...

Morro kept him weak through keeping his body incredibly weak. Bleeding it out like a goat herd does a special lamb.

Over and over cutting into his arms and popping blood vessels, drawing swirls in his muscles, and knitting his injured flesh back together again with this ghost matter that often resembled green jello.

He used long sleeved clothes to cover it. He used insense to cover up the smell of metal. He fooled everyone.

Well he fooled everyone but Lloyd. Who was forced to endure the pain and anything else Morro wanted to do to him.

Until he couldn't anymore, and his body rebelled.

At first it had started put small, a black dot where morros cuts were still healing.

Then it grew to a few dots, then they merged...

Until Morro finally took interest in cutting again.

The black mass had grown, Lloyd could see it through his eyes as Morro took the blade to it and slit it open.

Lloyd felt his own mouth frothing from the sheer pain.

"That's odd." Morrow smirks, watching as the black coagulation falls out in deformed chunks. The sound that accompanies it is a thudding sound, followed by subdued plops of purple and barely-red blood.

The ghost laughs in pain as he watches it. "I forgot things like this hurt! Ha! Being in a mortal body again is so nostalgic."

Lloyd could hardly keep his consciousness attached to Morrow's, having to both watch his body slowly deteriorate under the ghost touch and in his control, well, also fighting desperately not to lose his very little amount of control over his body once again, so that it may not do something terrible to his friends.

The ghost takes in a deep breath of air and rubs the slit in his arm, massaging more blood out until it is nice and red again.

"You know when I used to get hurt sensei Wu would you tell me to tough it out, lthough if it was a serious injury he'd be partial to cleaning it and wrapping it. But with you... with you he's oddly tender." Morrow squeezed to the main heart shake and enjoyed's vision or at least what he had of his vision went completely black once again, only recovering once Morro had already started to sloppily stich up the wound.

"Stop it... please." The blonde ninja mumbles, his eyes closed.

But Morro did not stop.

And Lloyd did not wake up for a very long time.

...

It wasn't really prompted by anything.

His theory was that Morro had gotten tired of not getting the results he wanted when Lloyd refused to give up his body, and so he left. He left suddenly and without warning and while Lloyd or at least his body was in the common area.

The expulsion of a ghost is not as glorious as it is shown in fiction.

In reality, there's no floating up into the air and having a priest.Hit you upside the head with a cross.

In reality, it feels like somebody putting pressure on one of your temples and the pressure leaking out for the other.E, it only takes a few seconds, but in that few seconds it.Feels like you've run a marathon.Climbed mount everest and been scuba diving and skydiving in the same twenty four hours. Your body weakens to a state that you didn't even think possible. You can't even twitch your pinky finger without your veins screaming out in pain.

You have no choice but to collapse into whatever nearest to you. That it's not like you get a choice on which direction you fall.

The only choice you have is whether you would like to try and cling to consciousness or succumb to the darkness that comes with all of the unbearable pain.

Lloyd didn't have the option to choose the latter.

His head bucked back as his eyes and mouth emitted a green light the intensity growing as he choked on the pure power surging out of his body, abandoning him.

Thick ghost ooze gathering at the side of his lips... lloyd gagged, and then was thrown to the ground. Morro's silhouette sneered down at him, and he watched as the ghost dissappeared into the wind.

Then he watched as other colors came over him. Red, and blue in two hues, and white, and black.

In fact maybe the only good thing about getting possessed by the terrible vengeful ghost of one of your Masters previous apprentices is that it gives you a moment to look back and think at your about your friends and everything that they've helped you through.

Especially when they rush to your Aid after the ghosts that had just left her body tormented them with you for months on end.

There was a flurry of color as he collapsed the ground he knew that much and he felt a woman brace on all sides honestly it was the most comfort he felt in years including ones where he wasn't possessed it made him feel like it was finally over like his struggling would stop and everything but just be peaceful again perfect again.

But alas it was not to be and he still had a long way to go but he was healing and that was enough for now.
