Script
Narrator: The Capulet and Montague rivalry has existed for generations; they have never, and will never, get along; it’s history's rule.
[Scene: School hallway]
Tybalt: “Man, I hate psychology, it's not even gonna help me get in my opponent's headspace I thought, total waste of time!” *he complains, walking through the hall with Sampson and Gregory*
Mercutio: “Well, perhaps psychology would be more interesting if you were less of a bonehead and could comprehend the meaning behind it.”
*Sampson and Gregory snicker a bit, not even trying to act like they weren't*
*Tybalt takes a step forward, but Gregory pushes him back lightly, whispering something to him before letting go of him and letting Tybalt walk off*
Sampson: “Ohhhh~, so art boy speaks?”
Gregory: *walks back, slowly boxing Mercutio between them and the wall* “Don't you have to go and finish your little script, nerd?”
Mercutio: *grips paper in hand, gritting teeth and turning away*
Sampson: *while laughing* “The geek is scared, oh what a crybaby, can't even stand up for himself-.”
*Mercutio punches Sampson square in the nose, and he falls back into Gregory’s arms*
Gregory: “Whoa there! We were just trying to talk to ya, but look what you did now. I guess we have no choice!” *he steadies Sampson to his feet and snatches Mercutio’s notebook, flipping through it and throwing it over his shoulder without a care in the world* “laaaame!”
Mercutio: “Halt!”
Sampson: *fists Mercutio’s shirt, and pulls back his arm for a punch*
*Principal Esculas and Romeo run in*
Romeo: *points a finger at them* “Oh, help us, there they abide!”
Principal Esculas: “Break it up, break it up!” *he walks between the two, separating them* “Sampson, Gregory, detention NOW! This is my last straw; next time it will be a suspension.”
*The principal turns to Mercutio and Romeo, who are picking up his notebook and scattered papers, and frowns slightly*
Principal Esculas: “You ok, kid? Go see the school nurse or something.” *he says and turns to walk the other two boys to detention*
Romeo:”...I beg for forgiveness, Mercutio, had I been any faster, you wouldn't be as battered.”
Mercutio: *sigh* “It's not your fault, I brought this upon myself and faced the punishments of that, let us proceed.”
*they walk off*
[Scene ends]
[Scene: (creative) Writing class]
(Romeo, Juliet, Paris, Friar Lawrence, Abraham, Peter, chorus as a teacher??)
Teacher (?): “Today, each of you will pick a piece of literature and present it to the class.” *He explains while writing this down*
*Paris groans, raising his hand slowly*
*Paris acts sick and tired*
Paris: “Dude, I've done this assignment three times for God's sake, I'm not doing it again.”
Friar Lawrence: *huffs, clearly annoyed at Paris’s word choice* “Don't use the Lord's name in vain…”
Paris: *rolls eyes* “Whatever, but I'm still not doing that.”
Teacher: “ok then, but only because you've done it before, everyone else gets on it.”
*A few people get writing, already having ideas, and others look for inspiration*
(start fake drawing for a little bit??? (30 sec maybe))
Teacher: “Alright, that's enough time, we're presenting by first name order, which means…Abraham, you're up!”
Abraham: *walks to the front of the class* “Uhm, I picked ‘If I Can't Stop One Heart From Breaking’ by Emily Dickinson. In this, she expresses how she will protect others and how she will use her life to the greatest extent possible.”
Peter: “Looo-serrr!” *He bellows, propping his feet up on his desk, displaying his boredom*
Abraham: *clenches hand, turning and glaring at Peter* “I doubt you have anything more extravagant!”
Peter: *stands up swiftly, going to the front of the class* “Here's a little quote from yours truly, me!” *laughs slightly before clearing his throat* “Nerds are made to be nerds, each and every one of you won't make it in the real world” *walks out, putting their hands in their pockets*
Friar Lawrence: “I suppose it's my turn. I chose a quote from Isaiah 41:10, which speaks of how people felt overwhelmed and abandoned, but God met them with reassurance.”
Teacher: “Good, next is Juliet.”
*Friar Lawrence goes and sits back down, and Juliet walks up to the front*
Juliet: “Okay, so I picked a poem called ‘Life Is’ by Mother Theresa. It talks about living life to the fullest and taking risks! *She laughs slightly* “I think it's really fun!”
Teacher: very good, now Romeo.”
*Romeo walks up front while Juliet walks back to her seat*
Romeo: *clears throat lightly* “The poem ‘Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer’s Day’, written by William Shakespeare, speaks of how the beauty of a summer day could never compare to the enchantingness of his beloved. The summer's beauty is fleeting and uneven, but the beauty of his beloved will last forevermore.”
*most of the class is chatting, Abraham talking to Friar Lawrence while Friar Lawrence is doodling in his notebook, except Juliet, who is listening to him with rapt attention*
*bell rings*
[Scene ends]
[Scene: Juliet's lunch table]
(Adalia (nurse), Juliet, Peter, Sampson, Gregory, Friar John, Tybalt[comes in later])
[Starting: Juliet, Peter, Adalia (nurse), Gregory, Sampson, Friar John]
Adalia (nurse): So, Juliet, how was English? I heard you have it with Paris.
Juliet: *sigh dreamily* “There's this boy in there that's sooo cute, he's so dedicated and serious.”
Adalia (nurse): *raises eyebrow* ‘That doesn't sound like Paris…?”
Juliet: “Paris?” *scrunches up face in disgust* “That guy is such a chud, why would I ever like Paris? He can't even pass creative writing on his third try!”
Adalia (nurse): “Bro, he's trying his best! Plus, he's a total catch; he even has a job.”
Juliet: “At Domino’s… he works at Domino’s.” *She says with a deadpan expression*
Adalia (nurse): “Still better than that nerd, he doesn't even have a job.”
Peter: “Yeah, and he’s in Theater.”
Sampson: “Oooh, Juliet has a crush on a NERD.”
Gregory: “yeah what's he even good for, homework?”
Juliet: “Wha?- He's sweet!”
Friar John: “well my friend Lawrence seems to think he's a pretty nice guy, haven't talked to him myself though.”
Juliet: “See!” *points at Friar John* “he thinks he's fine!”
Peter: “Juliet, you're being such a simp right now, jeez, get a grip.”
Tybalt: *walking over to the table with lunch tray* “Soo, what ya talking about?”
Adalia (nurse): *while checking nails* “Juliet has a crush on a total loser.”
Juliet: “Romeo is NOT a loser!” *huffs in exasperation*
Tybalt: “dude, Romeo?!” “That guy is a wimpy Buzzkill.”
Sampson: “Tybalts right, we got lunch detention earlier because he tattled like a baby.”
Gregory: “Wait, it's lunch time right now…?”
Sampson: “fuu- Frick!”
*Gregory and Sampson run off to go to the lunch detention room*
Adalia (nurse): *rolls eyes* “idiots”
Tybalt: “Better stay away from that geek, he's gonna ruin your rep in this school.”
*Juliet goes to say something, but the bell rings, interrupting her*
[scene ends]
(Scene: Romeo's Art class: Romeo, Friar Lawrence, Mercutio, Benvolio, Friar John, Balthasar, Apothecary [art teacher??] )
[All starters need to be at tables]
Apothecary (Mrs. Fogader): “Alright, get drawing, the medium is colored pencils, you've been using these forever. I'll be in the back, don't ask me any questions.”
Benvolio: *raises hand* U-uhm, shouldn’t you be teaching us technique?”
(Apothecary) Mrs. Fogader: “Zip it, kid! It's a free period today.”
Benvolio: “But this is the third one this week, and it’s Wednesday…”
*Mrs. Fogader glares at Benvolio, and he shuts up*
*The class watches as Mrs. Fogader stumbles to the back of the room*
Mercutio: “Jeez, she’s absolutely wasted today.” *shrugs* ”…well, more time to free draw, so I don't mind.”
*Romeo has his cheek resting on his hand, arm propped up on the table, and staring out the window, still not even tracing yet*
Friar Lawrence: *looks over and sees Romeo staring off*“Uuhm? Romeo, are you okay?”
Romeo: *snaps back to reality* “H-huh? Oh indeed I am!” “I was simply… pondering.”
Bathasar: “Ooh ~? About who, my dear friend, A girl~?”
Benvolio: *chimes in quickly after, trying to reassure Romeo* “Or a boy! *He giggles to himself a little* We don't judge!”
Romeo: “Well, that’s good, but it is a girl.” *Looks over at Friar Lawrence* “That girl from English, she spoke of freedom and prosperity with overwhelming warmth and passion.”
Friar Lawrence: “Juliet? Yeah, she’s well… on the wild side, but she's overall pretty nice.”
Bathasar: “Aww, our own little Romeo is in love! I wish prosperity for your relationship.”
Romeo: *Stutters slightly* “W-We aren't even d-dating yet!”
Friar John: “well she was talking about you earlier at lunch, so it must be on the table for her at least, she said your...” *cringes a little* “cute…”
Romeo: “Seriously! Did you hear that, Mercutio?! *in disbelief* S-she believes I'm c-cute!” *Romeo shakes Mercutio by his shoulders* “Should I speak with her? How should I go about that?”
Friar Lawrence: *sighs* “I could invite her and a few friends to our rehearsals; we need some people to move props around.”
Mercutio: *scowls* “Her companions are…unappriciative of theater”
Friar John: “I think you are just unappreciative of her friends…”
Mercutio: “What did you say?!”
Friar John: *goes back to drawing*
Mercutio: *huffs* “Well, either way, I doubt that many of them would want to help, plus we already have Abraham and Balthasar.”
Balthasar: “Oh, I didn't tell you? I must hang out with my dear Clair.”
Benvolio: “You're ditching?” Deflates in his seat “…okay...”
Mercutio: “Stop right there! That's so foul, how dare you!”
Balthasar: “Well, you would understand if you had one as sweet as Clair!”
Mercutio; *grips his pencil tightly* “Why you-”
Benvolio: “Silence! Both of you! Didn't you learn any manners when you were younger?!”
*the chaos of the table freezes*
Narrator: You see, that’s the funny thing about being a nice guy, the scary effect is multiplied when you are angered
Mercutio: “S-Sorry Benvolio….” *looks down, nervously messing with his pencil*
Balthasar: “Y-Yeah… apologies” *looks away anxiously*
Benvolio: *sighs* “It's fine, now, Lawrence, you were talking about some of her friends joining also, like who?”
Friar Lawrence: *jumps a little* “R-right, so I was thinking just her, and obviously Abraham.”
Mercutio: “Good, I don't think I can deal with any more of those troublemakers in a year that I have to.”
Romeo: “You really believe she will agree?!”
Friar Lawrence: *sets down pencil, a slight grin on his face* “Well, of course, otherwise I will call her out for cheating off me in the math test yesterday.”
Friar John: *snickers* “So that's why she was so sure she passed.”
Romeo: “W-wha- Don't force her to come! Then she'll despise me!”
Friar Lawrence: “I doubt she'll say no after I mention your name to her.”
*Romeo goes quiet, and they continue drawing until the bell rings (like 10 sec maybe)*
[Scene end]
[Scene: Juliet's math class, last period of the day: Juliet, Friar Lawrence, Abraham, Tybalt, Paris, chorus as teacher]
[All Starters need to be at tables]
Teacher: “So today we’re going to be talking about polynomials! Polynomials are simply when multiple terms are-
Friar Lawrence: *whispers* “psst, Juliet…. I need a favor; we need help moving props after school today.”
Juliet: *looks over, still whispering* “…What’s in it for me?”
Friar Lawrence: *sighs quietly* “Romeo will be there, John told me you have something for him, and I’ll even throw in a good word about you while praying.”
Juliet: “Hmm, did he say anything about… me?”
Friar Lawrence: “Yes, but why would I tell you?”
Juliet: *rolls eyes, leaning a bit closer* “Well im your friend, aren't I?”
Friar Lawrence: *groans* “Fine, but you owe me. He seems really eager to talk with you, and liked your poem too.”
Abraham [at a different table]: *leans back in chair, turning towards their table* “huh? You be careful, Lawrence. Romeo better not get hurt, or else you'll be going up to the heavens you pray so badly to.”
Friar Lawrence: “N-No problem, hehe.”
Teacher: “And that's Polynomials! Here's your worksheets.”
*Chorus hands out papers, and as soon as Paris gets it, he crumples it up*
Tybalt: “Dude, you could at least try!”
Paris: “I have better things to do, like thinking about how I'm going to prom-pose to Juliet.”
*throws the crumpled ball over his shoulder* “Maybe I'll pick her up in my sweet ride, she'll totally swoon, dude!”
Tybalt: *laughs awkwardly* “I mean, if you say so.”
[Bell rings]
[Scene ends]
[Scene: After school: Juliet, Mrs. Capulet (in car), Mr. Capulet(in car), Paris]
[Starting: Juliet]
*Juliet is walking down the hall when Paris runs up to her*
Paris: *catches up and wraps arm around Juliet's shoulder* “So, Juliet, when should I pick you up for prom?”
Juliet: *turns head towards him* “Huh? Oh, my bad, I’m not going anymore.”
Paris: “WHAT?!” *whips head around, trying to look for cameras* “Oh, you're kidding!”
*starts laughing, hitting Juliet's arm* “HAHAH, dude, you almost got me there!”
Juliet: *glares slightly, trying to keep composure* “No, I'm not going, it's not a joke. I'm going to help the theater kids move props.”
Paris: *whiney* “What?~ why~? We were supposed to get the prom king and queen together! How am I supposed to make you fall for me if you can't see me in all my glory?”
Juliet: “Euh, I would never go to prom with you.” *She pushes his arm off her shoulder, walking over to her parents' car*
Juliet: “Hey mom, can I help the theater kids today?”
Mrs. Capulet: “What? It's prom tonight, hunny, you can't just skip something like this, Paris already asked us if he could take you.”
Juliet: “What? And you said yes?!”
Mrs. Capulet: “Of course I did! He's such a sweet and considerate boy, even checked in with us before asking you.” *fans herself, turning over to Mr. Capulet, who is on his phone* “Just like your father, he was such a bashful man.’ *sighs dreamily*
Mr. Cupulet: *looks up from the phone* “Hmm, yeah, honey, whatever your mother wants.” *looks back at his phone* “I thought you liked that Parma Boy or whatever.”
Mrs. Capulet: “Babe, it’s Paris, not Parma.”
Mr. Capulet: “Oh, right..well still.”
Juliet: *rolls eyes* “No, dad, he's not even my type, too loud.”
Mrs. Capulet: “Well, you're going to prom, it’s not an option to skip, we don't want you turning into one of those nerds, that would ruin the family’s reputation!”
Juliet: “But I don't want to!”
Mr. Capulat: “Juliet, you're going.”
Juliet: “I HATE YOU!”
Mrs. Capulet: “Get in the car, you're not moving props!”
*Juliet gets in the car, slamming the door behind her*
Mrs. Capulet: *huffs in exasperation* “You'll thank us one day when you are older and have all these memories with your friends.”
*Juliet grumbles and refuses to talk for the rest of the car ride*
[Scene Ends]
[Scene: Prom: Adalia (nurse), Tybalt, Friar J, Paris, Peter, Principal Esculas, Apothecary]
[Starting: Juliet, Nurse (Adalia)]
*Paris strolls up to where Juliet was standing with the nurse*
Paris: “Oh, Juliet, I knew it, you couldn’t resist being my prom queen!” *he chuckles*
Juliet: *frowns* “I was forced…” *turns away* “This is the WORST!”
Nurse: “Juliet, it’s your first time going to prom, you should have some fun!” *She says, trying to keep the conversation going*
*Peter walks up with Tybalt*
Peter: “Yoo, What’s up, Juliet!” *realizes she’s in a bad mood* “Huh? What’s wrong?”
Tybalt: “Do you not like your dress? Well, I think it’s… *trying to get a word to describe her dress in confusion* ummm… certainly… unique.”
Nurse: *mutters* “…flashy jerk…”
Juliet: *looks down at dress* “well I wasn’t….I was going to move props today, but my mom made me come here instead.”
Tybalt: “dude props?! That’s totally boring!”
Paris: “Well, there’s nothing you can do about it now, so just come hang out with me, like old times.” *smiles and pats her back* “Remember how you used to cling to me when we were little, you were so cute.”
Nurse: “Yeah, you used to cling to him and beg him to tell you about all his toy trucks.”
*Friar John walks up with a cup of punch*
Friar John: “hey guys, what’s going on?”
Tybalt: “look John, Juliet came!” *points at Juliet*
Friar John: “Huh?” *looks at Juliet* “I thought you were going to help with props?”
Juliet: *deflates* “well I was….but my parents forced me to come here instead…”
Friar John: “Oh, well, I can text Lawrence if you want?” *pulls out phone* “I’ll tell him you couldn’t make it.”
Juliet: “Yes, please, my savior!”
*Principal Esculas walks over to them*
Principal Esculas: “Is that a phone I see?! Not allowed, hand it over.”
Friar John: “Wait, but I was just-“
Principal Esculas: “No buts, now give it!” *holds out hands, waiting*
Friar John: “Yes sir….” *gives his phone*
Peter: “….So, is this a bad time to ask where you got the punch?”
Friar John: *groans* “it’s over there in the corner.” *points to the punch bowl*
Tybalt: “jeez that’s rough. Hey John, wanna go get some snacks from my locker with me? I got those weird healthy lollies you like.”
*Tybalt and Friar John walk off*
*Paris steps a little closer*
Paris: “Hey Juliet, it’s a slow song, wanna dance with me?”
Juliet: *rolls eyes and takes a step away from Paris*
Peter: “Kay, you guys go do your *mockingly* loVey-dOvEy dance or whatever, I’m gonna go get some punch!” *walks off*
Nurse: “I’ll come too, gonna leave them to talk” *walks to Peter, then they walk away to the corner with the punch bowl*
Paris: “See, it’s just you and me, now we can finally have some alone time.”
Juliet: “Um… I’m gonna go get some punch too, actually!” *speed walks away to the punch bowl, which nurse and Peter already left, probably to dance*
(Apothecary is in charge of punch)
Juliet: “Oh… hi, Mrs. Fogader.”
Apothecary (Mrs. Fogader): *grumbling slightly* “You look sad, what did you do now?”
Juliet: “O-Oh” *scratches back of neck* “Well… I just didn’t really want to go to prom….”
Apothecary (Mrs. Fogader): “That makes two of us, kid.” *looks around to see if anyone was paying attention* “Look, kid, I got some special punch that I gotta keep under wraps, but you seem like you need a little happy juice” *offers her a cup from under the table*
Juliet: *awkwardly laughs a little* “Oh, haha, thanks….but I’ll think I’ll pass this time.”
Apothecary (Mrs. Fogader): *shrugs* “Alright, beats me.”
*down the drink*
[Scene Ends]
[Scene: prop moving: Romeo, Friar L, Mercutio, Abraham, Benvolio]
(Benvolio and Abraham are moving props; the other three are just standing and talking.)
Romeo: “What is the reason she isn't here yet?” *looks over at Friar Lawrence nervously*
Friar Lawrence: “I don't know, John was tying then just stopped.” *checks phone again*
Mercutio: “Well, that scum Paris was speaking of taking her to prom to my mom.”
Romeo: “Why was he conversing with your mother?”
Mercutio: *deflates* “We are cousins…Unfortunately…”
Friar Lawrence: “Yeesh, that must be difficult, may god bless you.”
Abraham: “Why are you guys standing and talking? We're here for a reason!”
Benvoilio: “Yeah! We've been working here, help us!”
Romeo: *looks down sadly* “B-But Juliet, she hasn’t arrived yet!”
Benvolio: *raises eyebrow* “So, it's not like she's your legs.”
Abraham: “Why don't you guys move props while waiting for her? I highly suggest you start multitasking!
Mercutio: “I suppose…” *starts to move props*
Romeo: *sighs loudly before beginning to move some props with Mercutio*
Friar Lawrence: “A little to the left, loverboy!”
Romeo: “I suppose…” *move it a little to the right, clearly not paying much attention*
Friar Lawrence: “I said left.” *Sighs* “Look, Romeo, if you're not going to be any help, then you should leave.”
Romeo: *stands up straighter* “No, I will listen… *attempts to think of something* on my grandmother's wellbeing”
Friar Lawrence: “If you believe you will, you may have one last chance.” *smiles slightly* “Now, scoot it towards the right.”
[Scene Ends]
[Scene: After Prom+After Prop Moving: Romeo, Juliet, Abraham, Paris, Tybalt, Friar Lawrence, Friar John, Balthasar, Benvolio, Principal, Apothecary, Nurse (Adalia)]
[If you don't have lines, just walk with someone to imaginary cars (or by yourself)]
*prop movers (Romeo, Friar L, Mercutio, Abraham, Benvolio) finally finished picking up and walked out to the parking lot, where some prom people (Juliet, Paris, Nurse (Adalia), Tybalt, Friar John) were also walking out, when Romeo saw Juliet walking with Paris*
Romeo: *freezes in shock, eyes widening* “J-Juliet?” “But you said you were going to help move props!”
Juliet: *pauses, not knowing how to explain the situation* “Oh…H-hey Romeo….”
Romeo: “Is it true? Are you really going out with Paris as Mercutio said?”
*Juliet goes to talk, but Paris interrupts her*
Paris: “Yup~ We went to prom together, we are going to an island now, I'm going to give her a ride home, in my good old whip.”
Romeo: “I-I can't believe you *stutters in awe* p-played me like this… Were you l-l-lying when you said you admired my undying passion? Were you lying when you told Lawrence that you wanted to talk with me and help me? Was it all a lie this whole time?”
Juliet: “Romeo….” *takes a step towards him, tearing up a bit*
Romeo: “I can’t take this any longer, I should've never trusted a Capulet.”
*Romeo walks away*
Juliet: “Romeo, wait!” “Please!” “Come back!” *tries to run after him, but Paris grabs her shoulder*
Paris: “Juliet, it's not worth it, let it go.”
Juliet: *tries to gather words to say* “I-I…” *speechless*
Juliet: “F-fine….” *follows Paris to his car”

[Starting group: Romeo, Benvolio, Balthasar]
Romeo: *in room (shared with Benvolio)* “I-I can't believe she played me like that…Lied the whole time!” *plops down on bed, crying into it*
Benvolio: *sits down next to him, Balthasar standing next to them* “It's okay, Romeo, sometimes people aren't who you think they are. Take Balthasar, for example. I thought he was a snobby stuck-up priss when we were freshmen, now he's my best friend.”
Balthasar: “You thought I was a WHAT?”
Benvolio: *he tries not to laugh* “W-Well, the point is, even if someone seems one way, it doesn't mean that is their whole.”
Balthasar: “side-eyes Benvolio* “...Yeah…” *says hesitantly* *rolls eyes*
Mrs. Montegue: *knocks* “Children, I’m coming in!” *opens door and walks in, Abraham and Mr. Montegue following, Romeo sits up, rubbing his eyes*
Abraham: “I knew that girl was trouble…” *grits teeth* “I’m not gonna let them get away with this!”
Balthasar: “Calm down, you fool, if you fight them, then they will plan to go after me!… Oh… and Romeo too, I suppose.”
Mr. Montague: “Son, it's never good to make connections among the Capulets, it will never reward.”
Mrs. Montegue: *nods* “Yes, your father actually used to be friends with the Capulets, but they overran our business and decided to drop the alliance; they have been our biggest opposition ever since…”
Romeo: “I just…I thought Juliet was different, she was so nice to everyone…”
Mr. Capulet: *sigh* “Look, Romeo, every generation of our family has tried to break the curse of hatred, but it has never worked. It is fine if you wish to attempt to break it, but never get too far into it. Don't lose yourself to love.”
Mrs. Capulet: “Even if you want to give her the world, it will never work unless she gives you the moon in return.”
Abraham: “Why don't you just quit?”
Romeo: *stands up, pressing a hand to his chest* “because I love her!”
Benvolio: “HUH?! You've only ever talked to her once!”
Romeo: “It only takes one meeting for love to progress!”
Bathasar: “Hmmm, it may work. My old love and I talked only one time at a coffee shop before we decided to get together. That seemed to be proven difficult, although we didn't meet often and had low trust in each other…”
Romeo: “You think I should trust her?.... Well, if that's all it takes for our love to flourish, I will trust her for centuries!”
[Rest of cast in scene]: *sighs*
Mrs. Montegue: “Just don’t get hurt, honey. We want the best for you.”
Mr Montegue: “precisely”
Benvolio: “Yeah, you have to make sure not to rush these kinds of things, otherwise you’ll end up like Balthasar!” *points to Balthasar*
Balthasar: *stands up* “Ok, seriously!? Dude, why am I always the example!”
Abraham: “Because you're the only love-sick fool, well, other than Rome,o but we all like him.”
Romeo: “Thanks, guys, I now know that our lives need time!”
[Scene Ends]
[Scene: Juliet’s dinner: Juliet, Mrs. Capulet, Mr. Capulet, Paris, Sampson, Gregory]
Juliet: “I just…I can’t believe he said that to me.”
Paris: “We, ll yeah, that’s a Montague for ya, those ‘proper men’ are always trying to one-up you guys!”
Mr. Capulet: “Paris is right, Me and that little Romeo’s father, Mr. Montegue, used to be best buds! Then he went and got all famous and chose to absolutely ignore our friendship!” *scrunches up face in disgust* “his greed makes me sick…” *grins in satisfaction* “And that’s why I had to surpass him, to prove that I’m not just his friend but his equal! But once I proved my skill, he got mad! For no reason! God, he angers me…”
Mrs. Capulet: “Oh dearie, not again” *rolls eyes* “you better not be ranting about the Montagues tonight, or you're sleeping on the couch, I can’t take any more of those absolute headaches!”
Juliet: “wait so the whole reason that we don’t get along is that we aren't meant to?”
Mr. Capulet: “It’s not just that, they are selfish and most definitely rude!”
Paris: “Yeah, didn’t you hear him calling you a liar? That’s how you know he’s a Montegue, he doesn’t even care about your schedule!”
Juliet: “W-well, he was in shock, he didn’t mean it!… I think…”
Mrs. Capulet: “You're so hung up on this boy for no reason, he probably hates your guts by now!”
Mr. Capulet: “Once you inherit the company, then you can see that even if they act empowered, they are inferior to our pure intelligence and awesomeness!”
Mrs. Capulet: *sighs* “Whatever your father says…”
Juliet: “But I don’t even want to be in the company…Mo,m you know this…”
Mr. Capulet: “WHAT?! You don’t wanna be in the family company!? You gotta be joking!”
Mrs. Capulet: “Honey, I told you this, remember?"
Mr. Capulet: “I can’t believe this, you young people can’t just go and have a steady job like the rest of us, can you?!”
Juliet: “I…”
Paris: "Don't worry, sir, when Juliet and I get married, I can take over. It’s just easier for a man to have harder jobs.”
Mrs. Capulet: *raises eyebrow* “Excuse me?” “May you repeat what you said to me?”
Paris: “I-i mean! It’s easier for a mannered and interested person to have harder jobs, h-hehe…?”
Mrs. Capulet: “Oh, I knew I misheard you! You're just too kindhearted for this world, aren't you~?” *pinches his cheek* “I would love for you to take over for her dear father!”
Mr. Capulet: “I really should think about that, it seems like an amazing deal!”
Juliet: “Y-yeah…”

Narrator: A singular tear streams down the side of his face. He is utterly heartbroken, yet he smiles, knowing that Juliet, his former love, is finally happy. At last, he can live his life in peace and solidarity.
Narrator: The story of the Capulets and Montagues is known in a competitive light, but here lies a fire that was never allowed to grow because people added water to the flame, not fuel.
